Is more than likely the reason why that 18-90 is chosen personally when I narrowed preference for "over 30's" I felt I hit a milestone: not desperate to find just "anyone" and confident within myself to look back and say, yep that's what I want.. -for now anyways - *grin* Mind u, there are guys out there who won't say no to any offers.. I think our range is the maximum (which might even be 99!), but there are several reasons we "keep our options open". Firstly because we're not just here to fuck. We're here to meet like-minded people and even if they don't get us all hot under the collar, we can still enjoy a little flirting or even conversations without having to watch what we say or do.Secondly, it's not the age that's important it's the person. Some 40 year old people act like they are 60. Some 60 year olds act like they are 30. How do we pick an exact number? The same goes at the opposite end of the age spectrum. We've met 30 year olds who have no social skills and we've also met (albeit very rarely!) some very confident and interesting people who are young enough to be our children (makes it sound SO much worse when we say it like that haha). We're not looking for life partners - we've already got each other! - so why should age make a difference?:)Thinking about it, we've been doing this for 7 years now and in the early years we met people at both ends of that range. We met a 22 yr old and 18 yr old couple and we're still friends with them even now. We also met a couple who were 70'ish and 30. Unfortunately that friendship ended a couple of years ago when the older half died. Both friendships have enhanced our lives in one way or another, so why restrict yourselves? :)

Why is this such an issue? I see plenty of fem's do the same, but I suspect for a different reason than I have outlined below.Personally, for myself, I'm not ageist so to stipulate an age range would seem somewhat hypocritical.Would i go out with someone under thirty, improbable but not theoretically impossible, same for a 75 year old.I think blokes (well i do anyway) tend to take people at face value, and place substantially less emphasis on age,unlike so many females who seem to be very very, to the point of being anal about age.Cheers Felonius

Sometimes it is a slight oversight ( yes yes I am covering my ass and changed mine hehehe) we create our profile without paying much attention to the age range ;) But then again, if there are people over 70 using RHP (impressive and good on them), having someone young and fit looking for them might help them live a small fantasy and bring a smile to their face. Personally, if I was in my 80s (i know i would be an old perve) and saw that a young beautiful girl had me in her age range, it would make my day. I probably won't be able to do anything about it, and even if someone gave me Viagra, I would have an erection and not remember what to do with it, but it would make me happy on some level ;D

Does this mean I have to leave RHP when I turn 99? I am warming up now. A lot of women shave a few years of their age here, for that very reason that people think us old folk do not like to fuck. If an eighteen year old were to respond to your profile, it would be a tremendous ego boost. With people today maintaining their looks and figures fanatically into what was once considered senior citizen area, you may well set your limit at say 60 and miss out on a hot 62 year old. Laugh if you wish but they are out there and maintaining themselves to a later age all the time. I could be wrong..but I have a feeling its got more to with the fact that most guys dont put a lot of attention to the detail and just scim over that part thinking "yep, fine that covers it".
