My then g/f and I, in this case for both our birthdays which were only a few days apart, had a weekend away together in the Echuca area. I managed to find a heavily discounted rate on a "presidential" suite at a luxury motel. True to both our personalities, take away pizza was on the menu for dinner! That was my first holiday with a partner and we made it count after the pizza settled ;) This year I was actually on a purely social date with a very lovely swinging lady, but I didn't bring it up that it was my b'day. Not much notable in previous years, so I have high hopes for next year ;) - Posted from rhpmobile

We held a fancy dress ball at our house. It was a fantastic night which didn't end till sunrise ... then some of us stumbled off to sleep for a couple of hours before my partner woke us up with breakfast. He had a further surprise (which my 3 friends were in on). He had paid for myself and 3 girlfriends to go to a day spa to get the full treatment of full body massage, facial, manicure and spa with fruits and fruit cocktails on arrival. This was such an amazing treat for 4 very hung over ladies. 4 hours later he picked us up and drove us home where we all went back to sleep in total relaxation before the party continued again with dinner served that evening. ... to the day - for all the wrong reasons. It's the one day I have to do whatever it takes to keep busy, cos if I stop to think about it, even now after all this time, I just crumble and fall apart.

Quoting 'xKiwiBredx' ... to the day - for all the wrong reasons. It's the one day I have to do whatever it takes to keep busy, cos if I stop to think about it, even now after all this time, I just crumble and fall apart. That doesn't sound real nice. Big hugs to you, and don't cry. Tall

Long story but celebrating birthdays is something I don't generally do. However everyone is special now because I celebrate with my son. I have to say I'm looking forward to the next one as it's a few days after the PErth meet and greet, so that's my treat to me. Meeting all you awesome people.

Did you know you only get to celebrate your BIRTHday once- every year AFTER that day is merely an anniversary of that day ....?? But I guess singing the Happy Birthday song & trying to wiggle in the work 'Anniversary' doesn't quite work 😔

Vowed to see it in......and see it out - which I did, thanks to having my bestie from Adelaide with me. Had 15 of my fav people, drank Moet in the afternoon and had a fantastic long tour in a black stretch Hummer....Took them to dinner (gals in bling and guys in ties), where I poured them a glass of 2004 Cristale (to share) while I got to enjoy every single drop!!!! After a scrumptious dinner and wines we went back to my house to party on ...lights were turned out 2am....... Then Sunday they came over for lunch and drinks before some headed off to the airport...... It was one of the most enjoyable w/ends I can remember.......

But didn't knock me down, lucky because Tara and I got together and it would be the happiest day of my life, falling in love and means for all the rest of celebrations we have had together, an engagement, wedding, three kiddies birthdays, anniversaries, mothers day, fathers day. It was a good birthday. Mado Mado Tara xx

...took me out to a little seaside restaurant owned by another mate in Sydney.. Nice little Restaurant and the company even better but the big surprise was they when the strippers appeared.. 2' ... Yes 2.. not professional , some of the wives had got together and decided to do the strip them selves.. How far did they go ? both down to their Gs except one who flashed me when her back was facing everyone else.. What would we do without friends.. ?

Up until I met my gorgeous husband, I absolutely hated birthdays. My parents forgot my 12th birthday and I forgot all of them after that! Since meeting my hubby and our kids coming along, I've began enjoying them and I make their days special! Mary xx

I could go into everything that was done over my recent birthday from gifts, places which truly were amazing but for myself the reason this birthday stands out above the rest is simple I spent this birthday with my soulmate so for me she is the greatest gift i could ever have asked for.

My 27th birthday was memorable, not for the party, but because my girlfriend at the time bought me the most thoughtful gift. I'd just fully committed to my writing and she bought me a really nice pen and a leather bound notepad folder. It may not seem like much, but at the time she was the only one who was supportive of my writing and that little gift just proved it.

I won $12500 on my 22nd birthday playing blackjack at the crown in Melbourne. Wanted 15k to buy the Rolex I saw earlier in the day but as soon as I started to lose, I bailed. Came back to Adelaide and bought myself a dirt bike and a tidy V8 HX premier ;)

When I posted your posts weren't visible. Thankyou lovelies. Yes this year in particular, I did have an exceptional birthday weekend. Freya, we've not always been in a position to spoil them materialisticaly on their birthdays but both of my children feel loved and special, even more so on their birthdays :) Mary xx

It was my first birthday as a single woman after 8 years, and the ones I'd celebrated with my boyfriend had mostly been disappointing. He didn't like restaurants, never knew what to buy me (so preferred to give me money) and there wasn't much of a celebration. I've always loved every birthday regardless, so finally decided to go all out, and threw a massive party. Being with friends who really wanted to be there (and omg the presents!) made it fantastic. The night ended with a lover of course, and a devious plan was hatched to attend a bi orgy two weeks later. (Which happened to be on another forumite's birthday, but that's not my story to tell. :-P)

I'd mentioned that I'd never had a birthday cake. It was always doubled up with the Christmas cake. My darling daughter arranged a cake complete with candles for me. Very special year that one. - Posted from rhpmobile
