Blocking after photo sharing

July 18 2026

Hello 😊 Wondering what everyone’s ‘etiquette’ is on blocking users after sharing albums. If we have had some chatting and decide to share albums, along with face pics - we are mature enough to handle a ‘thanks, but no thanks’ response. No hard feelings, no questions. We’ve sent similar messages after some chatting / pic sharing. People who receive your albums and automatically block with no reply - why? Granted, they don’t owe us anything either. But - aren’t we all adults - isn’t a simple thanks but not for us message reasonable? It shows a real lack of maturity in our eyes (likely doing us a favour I suppose). What’s everyone’s thoughts around the etiquette here? Do you close the messages out with a sorry not for us and goodbye - or do the immediate block? (Appreciate people’s actions here may be a result of their past interactions - and that not everyone takes a no thank you gracefully - so no judgement - just curious on how people interact)

No judgement, followed by judging people for how they choose to manage their own inbox. If there's one thing this lifestyle has taught me, it's that everyone has different reasons for blocking, replying, or simply moving on. None of us are entitled to someone else's time or explanation. There have been 1000's of forum topics on this very subject. Ms Foxy

RHP is an interesting place. Everyone has their own way of doing things. We all try to do what works for us, and that can create situations like this, where the way we operate doesn’t always align. To me, it simply highlights a misalignment, which I’ve learned is often doing me a favour. My years here have taught me to lower my expectations. If I don’t expect too much, then anything good that comes along feels like a huge bonus.

Common courtesy has gone right out the window these days, to easy to swipe onto the next one in line. I find it hard to believe

There could be many reasons, people are loaded with unknown variables They come with different concepts of morality, courtesy, etiquette and adherence to/or knowledge of "unwritten rules" as well. Some may think a clean break is best, they may not want to get into long replies of explaining their decision This will just be a step in finding people who do align better

Have you ever dealt with some of the fragile egos in this world? I've tried the polite route in the past but then copped abuse about myself or my partner at the time. Most of my single female friends on here and on dating apps have experienced the same. There are many different reasons why people choose not to reply or just block. Don't concern yourself with the why and just move on.

I have to admit it’s a different kettle of fish doing this as a couple… I was on here a number of years and experienced my fair share of “thanks no thanks” responses … but I’ve definitely developed a much thicker skin since starting a couple profile!! I don’t mind the quiet block tbh. I get everyone has their own approach to how they Rhp and I prefer the silent sidestep. It’s gentler and less complicated. I don’t need reasons or reassurance…

I thank these people for showing their personality earlier and not wasting more of my time 😀 much worse in my view if they fake polite

The whole 'blocking' thing,. especially after mutually agreeing to share photos, is totally mystifying to us too. The more adult way to handle things, ( in our humble opinion) is just to say 'sorry, I don't think you suit the vibe we're after'. We've said it to others, ( and have had it said to us) , and it's the most polite and respectful way to clear the air. Blocking seems juvenile, and we suspect a lot of people who do it are just picture collectors. I think we were a little spoiled by the European scene, which was much more honest and direct.

Because you are not their type or they know you. They don’t care if they hurt your feelings. Not being rude here but I think that’s what it is. You ok?

I worry with this after I grant access and immediately blocked that same are fake profiles, using pics etc and this is no recourse for us to raise concern with RHP as the history is fully deleted .
