What a great idea..!! I never even though of that ;) I don't know why my "Wet Stuff" lube is starting to dry out after 1/2 hour, it used to last for ages.... (Btw- Anyone have any suggestions why this may be happening.?) Most lubes have a compound that's toxic, called Propylene Glycol so having the organic coconut oil would be a very welcome substitute methinks. Thanks DeliciousCurves 😉

Paintmegold - hate most of the water based ones, they're fine at first, but then they just feel sticky and gross all over.

is the only lubricant i use, edible of course, not too slippery like other oils (so when using my bullet clit vibrator, my hand doesn't slip off) and very little taste which is nicer, i use it before masturbating, within seconds, it promotes natural juices which i can feel oozing out, so no more required, nothing is required in this area with a guy present, still great for anal. Don't waste money or time using over the counter lubricants, like the ones that come in little pots, they absorb into the skin and more and more has to be used, totally useless. Grapeseed oil is also good for massaging, guys love it on their dick, makes them cum faster, they love the sloppiness, and again, edible nyum nyum - Posted from rhpmobile

Coconut trees are so useful for many things. I am lucky here as they are in ample supply. The oil is great if its organic, same as the water. But real coconut water doesn't come in boxes with straws. I say use that oil, love it. - Posted from rhpmobile

Quoting 'VWGolfGTIQIK20Z'Most lubes have a compound that's toxic, called Propylene Glycol so having the organic coconut oil would be a very welcome substitute methinks. Thanks DeliciousCurves 😉 just harking back to the 'no jab no pay' thread and science, but are you thinking of ethylene glycol (which is toxic)? Propylene glycol is technically toxic in a similar way to water being toxic if consumed or injected in vast quantities - but not from rubbing it on your schlong. It is used in ice cream and other edibles, so much more likely to ingest it into your system that way than through your skin as a lube.

Quoting 'Freya79' My dietician told me it is actually lethal if you use too much of it in cooking...it clogs the arteries..I haven't tried it as a lube though xxFreya By Dr Karl, via the ABC website: "So what about coconut oil? It also has celebrity endorsement ranging from Olympic champions to movie stars like Angelina Jolie to Miranda Kerr, who claims she eats a spoonful every day. Its loudly trumpeted health benefits include controlling sugar cravings and your weight, as well as relieving stress and boosting your immunity. There is no compelling evidence for these claims. One of the odd features of coconut oil is that it is rich in saturated fats — quite different from practically all the other oils that come from plants. It's about 91 per cent saturated fats and only 6 per cent mono-unsaturated fats — virtually the opposite from olive oil which is 14 per cent saturated fats and 72 per cent mono-unsaturated fats. From a storage point of view, saturated fats have an advantage. They make coconut oil resistant to oxidation and turning rancid - so you can store it for a few years before it goes off. But from a health point of view, saturated fats have a big disadvantage. They are very strongly associated with bad blood cholesterol levels and heart disease. This is the overwhelming majority view of bodies such as the United States Food and Drug Administration, the World Health Organisation, the American Heart Association, the American Dietetic Association and many other professional medical and dietetic organisations. There is a minority view that saturated fats are good for you, but let me emphasise that this isverymuch a minority view. Sure, a small amount of coconut oil occasionally would not be a major problem. But consider this — the Western diet is already high in saturated fats, so why add more? Indeed, Cancer Council Australia recommends reducing or avoiding a diet rich in saturated fats. Another problem with coconut oil is that it's expensive. In fact, it's about twice the cost of olive oil, which does have proven health benefits. So to really be a health nut, avoid the coconut." Except if you want your lover to taste like a Bounty, obvs.

There's a lot of misconceptions here about coconut oil other than it works great as a lubricant and massage oil. From the Body+Soul Australian website: From beating sugar cravings to aiding weight loss, there are more benefits of coconut oil than most of us may realise.1 All fats are not created equalCoconut oil contains short term medium-chain saturated fatty acids (MCFAs), which is a "healthy" form saturated fat compared to trans fat. Trans fatty acid consumption is linked with heart problems, depression and increased cholesterol levels. What does consuming MCFA fats in coconut oil mean for your body? Our body metabolises these fats in the liver, immediately coverting this into energy (fuel for the brain and muscle function) rather than it being stored as fat. . 2 Controls weightOne 2009 study looked at the weight loss link between women's consumption of coconut oil and found that it reduces abdominal obesity. Researchers discovered coconut oil is easy to digest and also protects the body from insulin resistance. To try coconut oil for weight loss start by adding one teaspoon to your diet and gradually work your way up to four teaspoons per day. . 3 Eases digestionIf you suffer from poor digestion or tummy bloating try adding coconut oil to your diet. Coconut oil has been found to benefit digestive disorders including irritable bowel syndrome and microbial related tummy bugs. Fatty acids in coconut oil contain anti microbial properties, which have a soothing affect on bacteria, candida, or parasites that cause poor digestion. . 4 Manage type 2 diabetesA recent study by the Garvan Institute of Medical Research found that coconut oil protects against insulin resistance, reducing the risk of type 2 diabetes. MCFA fats are small enough to be absorbed into the cells where they're quickly converted to energy. It is this process that not only reduces the amount of fat we pack into storage, but improves insulin sensitivity. . 5 Supports immunityCoconut oil is made up of healthy fats lauric acid, caprylic acid and capric acid which contain antifungal, antibacterial, antiviral prosperities to boost the immune system. Lauric acid contains the highest concentration of MCFA fatty acids, approximately 75 per cent. The body turn this fat into monolaurin which is claimed to help heal viruses such as herpes, influenza, cytomegalovirus, helicobacter pylori and candida. . 6 Boost metabolismA study reported in the Journal of Nutrition found that coconut oil boosts metabolism. Researchers found that participants who consumed two tablespoons of coconut oil per day burned more kilojoules than those who consumed less. A speedy metabolism helps boost the body's immune system and keep weight off. . 7 Slows fine linesCoconut is not just for your cooking – it's a wonderfully hydrating treat for skin too. It keeps the skin's connective tissues strong, which prevents sagging and wrinkles. Apply coconut oil directly to your skin to soften the appearance of fine lines or use it daily on your face and body for a healthy glow. Be sure you use virgin coconut oil with no additives. . 8 Cooks in high temperaturesBecause coconut oil is a medium-chain saturated fatty acid, it gives it a higher smoking temperature than most polyunsaturated or monounsaturated oils. If you're preparing recipes that require high temperatures you should consider coconut oil for this type of cooking. Unlike olive oil which will oxidise at high temperatures, creating free radicals. . 9 Stops sugar cravingsInstead of reaching for the lollie jar for an afternoon sweet hit, try eating a teaspoon of virgin coconut oil to beat sugar cravings. This is because good quality fat is more satiating than carbs, so if you cut down on sugar you will feel less 'ravenous'. Most of us do not realize but constant hunger is a major clue that your body is not being fed correctly. With the proper amounts of fats and protein, you can fuel your energy reserves properly, and come off the sugar roller coaster that many of us are on. . 10 Coconut oil is simple to cook with As a bonus:It has been scientifically proven that coconut oil is anti bacterial, anti viral, anti fungal. Almost 50% of the fatty acids in coconut oil is the 12-carbon Lauric Acid. When coconut oil is enzymatically digested, it also forms a monoglyceride called monolaurin. Both lauric acid and monolaurin can kill harmful pathogens like bacteria, viruses and fungi. It also serves well for "oil pulling". Google it. :-)

My concern would be the affect they would have on silicone toys and the medical issue with the PH balance as well. I suffer from Candida/Thrush so need to be careful. Has anyone had issues after using any of these oils ?

To try coconut oil for weight loss start by adding one teaspoon to your diet and gradually work your way up to four teaspoons per day. . From the Mayo Clinic: The few small studies that have looked at coconut oil and weight loss suggest that coconut oil may help reduce waist size, but it doesn't lead to significant weight loss or improved body mass index (BMI).Coconut oil is a tropical oil that's made from the dried fruit (nut) of the coconut palm tree. Proponents say that it contains a healthy type of fatty acid that your body quickly burns for energy. The oil extracted from fresh coconut contains medium chain fatty acids, which aren't stored in adipose tissue. However, coconut oil is high in calories and saturated fat. One tablespoon contains 117 calories and 13.6 grams of fat. Coconut oil has more saturated fat than lard does.Although eating coconut oil in moderation isn't likely to harm your health, it's not likely to help you lose weight either. For successful, long-term weight loss, stick to the basics — an overall healthy-eating plan and exercise.

From my interest in high protein low carb diets I have observed that some who go really hard at it use cocunt oil to help kick the body into ketosis. I wouldn't eat it long term either, but lube or massage oil ? Why not ! Lol just spotted the typo, it can stay, we need a laugh about now. 😄

Here's the gist: I have lots of friends cooking with it to keep them in "Ketosis". Essentially they're using the "good fats" in coconut oil to help the body burn the "bad fats" off their bodies. This is a known as a ketogenic diet, where consuming large amounts of coconut oil comes into play. Read the BOLD TERMS on Wikipedia to learn more. It's working because they've lost 20+ kilos over the last 6 months.
