Ohhh Miss Saturn I feel your pain as I was in a very similar situation not long ago... Unfortunately condoms very a fair bit in size and recently discovered a lot of these new "gimic" ones are on the VERY tight side or just wont fit. I have stuck to buying large as I know they go on nicely but they can be hard to locate at local supermarket if running low. :-( I think ill stock up and give a labelled box to my friend. Xtremguy

So... When is a condom NOT a condom ? I just don't get it ! I don't buy tampons and say "ooo... that won't fit, I need bigger !". They always seem to do the job fine ! I bought mine from the Chemist. I'm rather forward so just asked where there were located and what was the "best" kind ! As money isn't an object when it comes to condoms (or tampons for that matter), is there a particular brand / type I should buy ? Feel free to message me your recomendations if you're too embarassed to post. xxx Saturn

Im guessing if ultra thins were too small he had a big dick then? Cause afaik ultra thin is only referring to the thickness of the latex, not the thickness of the condom itself.

I think you raised a bigger point in your post Saturn than just size of condoms...."he ran out"...pffft...and then turns his nose up at your supply!!!! If ya THAT special and THAT big, ya don't run out. Simple. Just who's responsibility is it anyway? I get where you are coming from...I just don't get that some guys don't take an equal responsibility in sexual health! I'm not talking about the actual use of condoms - that's between the consenting people participating in sex. I'm talking about respect. It's just a respectful and thoughtful thing to do, to take equal responsibility in ensuring safe and fun sex. Good on ya XtremGuy...it's good to see. Miss Saturn, I once bought a packet of small condoms (it was all the service station had and the girlfriend at the time wanted some spontaneous fun in Kings Park). Given my average size I thought the small size would provide a nice snug feeling but it was actually pretty uncomfortable. The ring of the condom felt like it was cutting off the blood supply at my base and the tightness of the latex around my shaft was also pretty constrictive. Being latex I would have thought they would stretch a lot, or maybe my member is just a little precious. Blinde

Just got back from the chemist...took a look at the location of the condoms. On the same shelf...to the left are the condoms, and a fine selection I might add, and directly to the right are the pregnancy tests, also an impressive selection. For some reason I started thinking devil on the left shoulder, angel on the right...but then I realised if you went without one you might be back at the chemist in a few weeks buying the other. Oh, and I'm a fan of Manix King Size....they are not the biggest in the range, but are thin, have never broken on me, and are a little more comfortable than the regulars. Cheers, Michael

To his credit, he didn't rock up anticipating sex (yes...of course I'm naive and gullible...but not every guy wants to fuck me every time ??)... anyway... he carried them discretly. How many condoms was he supposed to carry ? How many can a wallet hold ? Perhaps if he had less money in there he could carry more ? Guys... how many condoms do YOU carry on a "just in case" meeting ? I figure TWO is generally enough ? It just wasn't in this case ! I'm more of a 5, 6, maybe 7 or 8 girl (depends if you do anal and swap them for each hole). In this case, guy was very responsible. What sensible, healthy man runs out of condoms?!?!? As a man I would think that one of the first things that they would do when they have a play night coming up is to buy condoms...isn't it? We will always take one or two with us just to be on the safe side (I can't say i'm picky with what the brand is - whatever the boyfriend has his draw at the time, he's a little on the thicker side so they are accomodating to any size penis). It shouldn't be your responsibility Miss Saturn, but it's always good to carry a couple just in case.... wishful thinking? I like to think of myself as an optimist! Red xxx

A guy should carry as many as his ego would demand. 8 sounds ok to start with, but if you both have the urge, 18 may not be enough The most I have gone through in one night was 10 from memory... but there was cointreau doused strawberrys involved so new things were tried that night that resulted in quick pit stops for a tire change.

You have to go out of your way to get small sizes. They generally all stretch large enough to stick your fist in. All teh clubs have one size in their dispensers. The guy was obviously just a wanker or a moron. As sexycouple has said.. "ultra thin" has got nothing to do with the size of the condom.. just the thickness of the latex. Hugs Stalky

I've been using condoms for the past 27 years. As several people have said, ultra-thin is the thickness of the latex, not the diameter of the condom. I think I'm at least average size, and have never had any trouble with standard size being too tight. I have seen extra-big size in some shops, but never tried any. I'd rather it was tight and secure, than loose and leaked or fell off. I've tried all sorts of brands, colours and shapes. Not much difference really, but colours and flavours can be fun, and the odd stud might help a little.

I think I'm in the upper end of average, well I can't fit in the toilet roll as is the international standard of penis measurement. I find the large size condoms give me more feeling. The normal size being very snug seems to hold me in like a tight pair of denim jeans and does lessen the feeling. But I wouldn't complain to a partner about it, I'd bring my own!

I think saturns playdate may have had condoms but they might have used them all..? Am i correct? My wallet only fits 2 condoms as its tiny so if its spontaneous sex all i can go is 2 rounds or can I wash them out? I use ansell larger and they fit perfect.As mentioned earlier I ran out on one occasion recently so I left her a box tonight for her to keep at office. I joked they are only for me to use... that's fair isn't it?

Some (not all) condoms state the nominal width in mm which is the usual measure for size, and is also ego-crushingly small for us poor blokes. 50-52mm is prob small-avg and anything over 55mm is getting bigger...nothing should be measured in mm when it's associated with the penis, so we need a law introduced! Hope that helps...

I have no trouble in supplying my own. It just seems the right thing to do, I usually carry 2 or 3 with me, not that i always expect to have sex its just a precaution because you just never know when you may be asked. However i have been asked on rare occasions if i mind using her supplied condoms. I guess thats her way of knowing that she is safe, And i have no problem with that, so far they have all fitted !!

The international standard is the toilet roll, here's a test, get a "normal" sized condom and see if you can roll it over the roll. See if the roll deforms at either end. Repeat with larger condom if necessary. Now what have we learned with this experiment... 1. You have just wasted 2 perfectly good condoms and a toilet roll 2. No glove, no love... People you need the right equipment for the job.Using the right size condom, and a bit of lube inside and out - means you get no breakages - which if a condom breaks kinda spoils the point of using it in the first place. If you know you'll be seeing a selection of people, have a selection of condoms. No 2 members are a-like. The regular, tighter fitting (to avoid saying small) and larger sizes vary between each brand.Some brands ultra thin latex ones are actually a smaller size as well. If you take a look on the side of back of the packet there will be a measurement in mm. Ranges from around 48mm for the tight ones, up to about 59 and sometimes 62mm for the bigger visitors. If you put a bigger or regular on a smaller gentlemen it may slip off, and a tight or a regular on a larger gentlemen it may cut in or be uncomfortable, have a tendency to re-roll, or already be part stretched so that any extra pressure from vigorous use or if things get a little dry ( which air con and fans do alot to cause even with lube and wetness) will make them snap.Condoms are porous stuff can get through, but not things as big as cells and viruses typically, over stretching you condoms can make micro tears - ie you wont see the tearing looking at it naked eye but it may be enough to let things through you'd rather not. So yeh you an blow em up and get your fist in them - but they might not be as good a barrier after a good stretching.....Boys know what they are packing - so they carry what they need women if you have different visitors try and have 3 different sizes, to be sure. Condoms are a bit like shoes you want them to fit snugly and comfortably, not be hanging off or crushing what's inside.The of course there are different shaped condoms, some are more novelty swirls etc supposed to cause more pleasure with how they will rub, but practical applications there really are 2. straight condoms for the cut men, and flared for the uncut. The flared condom gets wider at the top so there is more space for the extra bulk of skin, and since most of the pleasure on those still with skin is from the movement of it back and forth over the head of the penis rather than direct contact for those that lost their along the way. Having room to move as it were will make the experience much better for the with skin men as straight or undersized condoms can pinch or hold the skin in place so they feel very little and almost relying on the psychological effect that they know they are inside someone. You dont want to just go using a large condom on all uncut men however as without a grip round the base of the penis you might find the condom is inside the woman afterwards and not just in the oops it slipped off just when i pulled out when i was done stage.If you don't use lube inside and out of the condom - ie both side it has no freedom to move a little - and it wont slip off unless you using one that's too big. if tere can be some movement in the latex then the man will get alot more sensation than if its virtually glued to him and not moving. Put a rubber glove or condom over your finger hold it in lae gently touch something or it with your finger, you get little feeling only more pressure and warmth, then let it be a little more free and sure you don't get the texture of what its touching but the latex is moving - and that's better than nothing - with added lube least its wet and moving and will feel warm.I've had sex literally thousands of times and primarily with different men most of the times over the past 6 years and since i started using a silicone based lube like pjur which doesn't dry and go sticky like regular lube and using the correct size condoms I have not had even 1 break or slip.Whilst people might say the guy in question was being fussy - there is little point having sex if its just going to be uncomfortable - and not that its why he declined but risking an over stretched or broken condom isn't wise either - take a trip to the nearest service station and stop off and have sex in the car on the way back!

I disagree with WAMvictim. I've never put lube inside and wouldn't do it - this is a recipe for splitting. Although I get a slight loss of sensation with a condom, it's nothing grievous. I've never had one split 'in action', and don't want to risk it.
