It may be because of the limited amount of messages some people can send a day (basic premium is 5 per day I think) I know while we were guests it was handy to use skype though as it would also allow us to message with out having to first wait for another message to come through (though first had made contact and sent a few messages back and forth via RHP) These are a few reasons that spring to mind for me, though we are also only very new to the site ourselves.Would suggest exercising caution either way you go though. I am sure others who have been around longer will also have some interesting opinions on this themselves.

I think that sounds a bit odd and I wonder if they're just after sexting or exchanging dirty pics. Nothing wrong with chatting via email (though personally not my thing) and I'm happy to give my email address if someone is not comfortable putting a face pic on this site and prefers to email it to me. Of course I did create a Gmail account specifically for RHP. I'm also happy to share my KIK username if someone wants to chat via phone (again made just for RHP), but I will never give out my phone number until after I'm met someone. A lot of people here have a "play phone" besides their regular one, but I never bothered as I don't like talking on the phone. I recently created a second Skype account to talk to potential meets, though I haven't used it yet. If you keep your online and real life separate, you'll have no problem. p.s. Don't give out phone numbers and email addresses you used when setting up Facebook, unless your Fb privacy settings are solid. People can use them to find out more about you than you bargained for! One message can be bounced back and forth as many times a day and for as many years as you want... It has nothing to do with the message limit for paying members... A paying member can for example INITIATE 5 messages per day (in the case of a premium member) but each of those messages can bounce back and forth between the respective parties for ever... Hp xo💋 Because you're worth it...

Once I’ve established some rapport I might swap phone no.s to text . Makes contact easier if you are travelling to meet. Also easier to make contact where / when it's difficult to get on line. Most employers have an issue with you logging in to a site like RHP to chat or check messages. Email and text are also easier to swap pics etc. I only exchange contact details when I'm comfy with the other party and we agree on boundaries – no phone calls at work etc. Rocky

It is worth setting up another gmail account that's just for RHP, that way when someone says they don't have a face pic but can they text it to you , you can refer them to that without giving out your phone number. The problem is that with my regular email, my iCloud email and now my naughty email it gets a bit much sometimes 😉

These are technical pros and cons of using email. Pros- You have a direct contact with out the need of using RHP resources. This means you can remain in touch even when you don't have access to RHP. RHP admin can't see anything and both side don't need to follow RHP guidelines. Cons- If your email is not exclusive to RHP use and you use it in public domain. Your email can be used to Google your public domain personal information linked to your email. Your email can be sold. Hackers are interested in hacking email accounts not so much interested in hacking RHP accounts. If a member is not security aware and you have sent your information to him. If his email is hacked your personal information is hacked as well. Photo collectors can collect your information. Please note when you give access to PG at RHP this can still be copied and saved by others but it is relatively more effort to do so. ----------------------------------------------- Lots of safety and privacy concerns are old wives' tales. There is really not big difference email vs RHP messaging if you have some kind of disposable email ID exclusive for RHP. Our email accounts and computers BTW have fool proof safety. When we get email. All your information is destroyed after allowed use or if you don't give any instructions then as soon as purpose is over. We follow privacy to legal standards.

We (after talking to someone a bit first) use Snapchat. . not for exchanging nude pics but actually to have an ongoing conversation in quick way with the odd pic of every day life thrown in . . means you get to know people.

to meet. Message on here enough to put out some feelers then just meet. All the calls, messages, emails, skype, kik, snapchat, facetime are just more avenues for bullshit to me. I want to meet face to face and see if there is an attraction, chemistry, see movement, mannerisms, gestures. I miss the real world and I think the internet makes people fake. We are always putting our best features up, keep up with our online personas, we ask questions of people we would probably never ask face to face and spend too much time wanting answers instead of investing in someone to enjoy the ride of discovering them. Our faith in others is terrible, we assume the worst, fear everyone is going to rape and torture us when in reality, most people are pretty cool in their own right but we never really give a lot of people the opportunity because we have written them off because they can't spell or use punctuation. Ok, that was my rant, what was the question again? lol

Had a real classic today , this guy was after pictures , wanted me to send them via ordinary email , saying he was professional and had to be discreet , wanted my email first then he would send his in return , I told him put some pic in his PG on RHP , then I copped the abuse , another one added to the block list , Some single guys just don't get it

I don't like emailing.... Which is why I have kik. More private and more options with sending photos and videos. And it's FREE!!!!! Lol Especially when photos are on your phone.... When i/we see someone who interests us then we take it further... Good luck

is always dangerous before you have met anyone. There is some good advice above but bouncing msg's here is not a problem and no limit. Stick with that until after you have met and gotten some sort of feel for them.

I set up new accounts on both for RHP, kik is my preference though... I don't have a play phone, so my number isn't given out to just anyone, but once I'm comfortable with someone I'm happy to give them my number. But in saying that, I guess it's pretty handy that you can block phone numbers on some phones if it goes a bit pear shaped....💋

Hi, I've just opened this account a few days ago and received a startling number of messages in the first few days. I'm trying to do the right thing and get back to everyone in the order they wrote to me if I'm not interested but I just got a message from the site saying I can't send anymore messages. You should have unlimited replies if someone sent you a message first. Check with customer support, because that doesn't sound right.
