to make us choose. You know of course that us women dont have a chance in hell with Matt Bomer so in this scenario, will have to go with Daniel Craig. Not that he will even glance at me even if I was running past him, doused in petrol and lit on fire. Not gonna happen... However, for more realistic scenario, my preference is the stereotypical tall dark and handsome, thanks to Disney and Jesus Christ. I really wont limit myself to the stereotype as I have been attracted to all sorts of men from shortish (5'6) to tall (6'4"), from blonds, salt and pepper, dark haired to bald, fit to cuddly!!! Most important though, I am attracted to the personality, as I find some very physically attractive men repulsive if their personality is misogynistic or narcissistic, or maybe their are just plain boring or dumb. I prefer intelligent funny men, hands down. Again, it comes down to the ever elusive undefinable chemistry between two people. It just varies on a case to case basis. What is it? Beats me.

Vertical... (i nearly used Initials in an abbreviation then... that might have been bad!!!) Heres my take on the tall, dark n handsome cliché. When they say tall.... they mean taller than her. When they say dark, they don't mean dark physical features..... they mean dark masculine traits. When they say handsome.... they mean handsome to her, and this is totally subjective..... even one womans' preferences change through her menstrual cycle, the white lab coat types tell us. As you noted... personal preference is more important than a cliche or label.People like what they like....people can learn to like more than what they like already.... and people can even be told what they (should) like. Although you said "aside from personality"...... TDH might get noticed, but it isn't enough to override someone as boring as a butter sandwich, or toxic and obnoxious. Personality, social intelligence, and behaviour (whether conscious or subconscious) is a farm more important factor than than just the TDH. 3c

Honestly, apart from big beards, I like tall, small, blond, dark, redheads, and fit or cuddly like Lily said, as long as they have a great personality. Laughing and flirting together, and having good conversations are more important to me than looks or hair colour

I makes little difference what you look like. Its all about who you like and if they like you. If you have a thing for blond blue eyes and the blond blue eyed people you know don't like you then you will not get far. There are a million people in the world, at minimum, that are attracted to you (who ever you are) all you can hope for is if you are equally attracted to them to some of them. Asking what people like is a pointless act, you should be asking, what do I like and where can I find those people.

... choose between Daniel Craig & Matt Bomer. I just can't. So I going to choose Damien Lewis :) There's something about a redhead that always peaks my interest :)

I'll pass on either of those, Don Hany is my pick for attractiveness. I am often drawn to darker features, probably because I'm fair skinned, with light coloured eyes, but who I'm attracted to is a whole different kettle of fish. Oh, Astrild .. reminds me what my beautiful gay friend recently told me; that strawberry blonde men have the nicest coloured bumholes. >,< I haven't been able to confirm that titbit as yet.

Someone is speaking for the women again... Who knew that by tall, dark and handsome I meant "dark masculine traits", not hair colour? Sometimes a cigar is just a cigar, DG. :-P Dancer, if you asked me to describe my ideal man, he'd have black or grey hair. It's never been a factor in whether I'm attracted to a guy or not though. :-)

Tall. Is taller than me- make me look up, it's a powerful aphrodisiac. Dark. Is dark haired, not dark masculine traits. Handsome. Is very subjective. Tall, dark and handsome does it for me, had trouble thinking of a blonde guy until Ms_Silk mentioned Josh Lucas-yummy. Never though of Daniel Craig as blond- couldn't get past his abs so never realized. However never thought I'd find anyone with a beard sexy either.....but.......

Quoting 'Meander' Am i the only one who has no idea who Matt Bomer is? He was in Magic Mike I can be attracted to blondes, but generally I find that most of the guys that really catch my eye have dark features (and that means dark physical features DG ). If I had to choose one of the men you've mentioned I'd pick Matt Bomer...Daniel Craig really doesn't do it for me. But having said that, Matt Bomer isn't really my type either. Most Hollywood actors don't do much for me *shrugs*. You're never going to be everyone's type OP, I wouldn't worry about it.

I don't have a preference. It totally depends on the person. ALTHOUGH, I do have a soft (wet!) spot for men who are taller than 6 foot 2 ;)I've been very attracted to men who are short, tall, slim, cuddly, dark skin, light skin, dark hair, bald, red hair, blondes, blah blah blah. Mostly, it's about the person on the inside. An 'average' looking person can be SO hot if they're a good person and we click.

(and no, thats not a representation of my mother to the armchair psychologists in here LOL) But recently I've opened the doors a little in my genuine openness for a partner..... but a confession..... I have even higher standards for brunettes than their fairer sisters. To be continued. Maybe
