Hi Peachy. I've been having this dream for years about a house. I never see the outside of it, always starts with me inside. It seems to be in 3 sections, each one goes on and on, drawing me in, leaving me wanting to see more. Not a fancy house, kind of old house full of curiosities. It's a happy dream and always sad when I wake up LOL I had relatives who had a kind of tacked onto house, that always fascinated me because it was interesting. One bedroom only had a door from the outside, wouldn't pass fire standards these days, but I loved it because the layout wasn't standard. Maybe that started my recurring dream. I also have really mixed up/weird dreams with random people I've met in my life, appearing so that different dreams merge together, epic long dreams, too much to put into print

I had a dream where I found myself walking in an alien or non-earthly landscape. The vegetation was weird, in that it was partially metallic, with flower petals of metal that moved automatically and rotated. The sky was a shade of lilac and there were two suns, but very distant. In the dream, I was consciously aware that this wasn't earth and it's as though I am aware I'm dreaming but become so enmeshed in it, to the point where I want to linger in the dream, but the instant I'm aware of this, that's when I will wake up [and want to go back into that dream/that same place]

I've been listening to Charlie Morley who writes a lot about dreams and sleep. Super interesting. Dreams are essential as they help our brains process and deal with stress and trauma that occurs in our lives. Apparently if we are deprived of the type of sleep that dreams occur in we can quickly move into psychosis. This is what happened in Guantanamo Bay when prisoners were tortured with sleep deprivation. I can't remember all of mine, they are varied and hazy but I do dream a lot about my ex trying to get me to have sex with him and being very tempted (but I always say no in the dream. )Boundaries are still strong in sleep ha ha.

Thanks everyone, I keep starting a reply but haven't finished one yet. I do find dreams interesting and wonder at their meanings. I have quite clear dreams a lot of the time with patterns like water, waiting for buses, wandering around areas familiar to me,. The one that got me starting this past had a bit of same same and a bit of wtf. Roughly I remember helping a woman with hubby as we wandered around the area I currently live in though it wasn't quite the same. Funnily once we found where she wanted to be she cracked on to us. Later in the dream, we were at home when two couples dropped by and said they wanted us to know something whereupon they all dropped their clothes in one movement. Funny thing to have happen! I work on remembering my dreams and sometimes they'll continue even after I wake up in between and go to the toilet. My worst dream which has reviewed over the years was when I was a child and I kept running around a track and I'd realise I had no shoes on and my feet hurt. It went on and on all night and stuck with me through the next day too. It's related now and then over the years and already affects me badly.
