May 13 2015

Do you have days when you just spend far to much time reading posts, posting responses, but just like Alice you are either falling down the rabbit hole,or confronted with the Looking Glass? ..what amuses you, annoys you, makes you laugh, makes you cry ?What are the fora to you ? ..my name is Freya and I am a fora tragic xxFreya

most of my time in the rabbit hole is spent climbing further down - typing out posts, reading associated material... and then deleting them before sending. Fortunately or unfortunately, I'm one of the multitude blocked from replying to Daily Life (SMH site) facebook stories, so that cut down a lot on the amount of daily time spent writing replies/rebuttals to posts.

I'm Mea, and I'm a foraholic. Yes, I spend (and sometimes waste) too much time on here. I enjoy learning things through other's experiences and I love a good debate. Mostly I enjoy responding, but now and then I let myself get pulled into useless arguments that are not constructive in any way, and I end up kicking myself afterwards. The fora are mostly a happy distraction for me. As long as being on them is not affecting my life in the real world though, I'm not going to stop. (But I could any time. I just don't want to. No, really).

To the point that some of my chat room friends think I need Forum counselling.....but its very interesting reading, Ive learned a lot from them and the person you argue with one day you find yourself in total agreement with the next! Some of the topics are amazing, others downright way out of the box, but I love hopping on each day to see whats been put up. Freya, my name is Koko..........

Hi, my current name is Astrild and I'm a foraholic. It has been two weeks since my last post, and despite changing my name, it appears I've fallen off the wagon. *sigh* In my defence, at least I lasted longer than 25 hours, which is more than can be said for another foraholic. Yes, I'm looking at you, Ms Any_Whichway! Love the new profile pic BTW :) A xx PS It appears I missed an arse-athon during my period of abstinence?! Damn! Oh well, better late participation than no participation at all ;)

I have not been here long enough to call myself a foraholic but as some of you could probably see I am getting an addiction for it. I suppose as most as my friends have either left town or I do not need certain types around me and do not have a large social circle anymore. I have found the fora to be kind of a community or virtual friends group. I love contributing and reading threads finding the people I would like to meet in real life if opportunity permits and seeing the characters and personalities that are here. Give me a little while longer and I too may be needing that rehab. As far as how it makes me feel it has been a roller coaster of emotion. But that is what it should be.

I am a casual–part time fora participant/visitor. I am sweet generally, but not all year round, especially if I was kissed in the wrong spot lol........anyways, I like to come on here to read and respond to posts that are off interest to me and ones that I can relate my own experiences and/or knowledge to, whenever I need a break from carrying out my usual duties. Occasionally, I also like to take part in a heated debate, just for fun. Because I don't log in very often, I tend to make responses to posts a day or 2 or 3 late majority of the time, after they were created. What amuses me? The surprise of discovering some genuine and really wise people on here, whom I have learned so much from and totally admiring their wisdom, knowledge and experiences. What annoys me? The same topics that get posted endlessly by various people. What makes me laugh? Some funny, but non-harmful, comments like yours, LadyT's, cavey's and several more people's. What makes me cry? When people share their real life stories about the loss of their parents, loved ones, children, or how they have dealt with people who had mental illness. Therefore, fora to me is like a place to unwind after a long day of hard work, as well as a place to learn and absorb new ideas, new knowledge and new insight to things. Fora is also a good eye opener for me to see beyond the world that I know and was brought up in. - Posted from rhpmobile

no difference wether you last 25 hours or 25 days. Is like an alcoholic or such, the only thing that matters is your last post or drink. You are just as stuffed as me..... The important thing to remember is that we can reconise that we have a problem. We can think about it momentarily as we press the 'post' button. And move onto the next thread.

It is a 'place' that matters to me. . Some will say it's a cyber world but that is not accurate to say of RHP considering it goes far beyond the site in social matters which is what a large amount of forumites will point out if someone says it is a sex site. Uhuh. . To me, it is an adult site based on sex. An adult site I follow on my social accounts. No one has ever asked me about it. . My journey brought me and he here for a brief moment before other matters took precedence and they have been paramount ever since. . I've met people from here who have been part of that journey and I've been part of theirs. Some I still have the pleasure of being a part of each other's lives. . It's a small part of the world I like to imagine I make a difference in having had the pleasure of the difference made to mine.

lately i have been sort of unwell this week due to an ear infection, so housebound and doing work from home. Hence, when having a logical break, I log in and check the shenanigans of the forum. Quite the distraction I need at times from the stress and demands of work and raising my kids as a single mother with a demanding full-time corporate job. Thank goodness for technology and work-from-home policies. Just dont tell the boss I'm online. Lol. but my work is results-based so no problem there. It helps that I have my own company too. I tried firing myself several times, I just wont listen. I have gone without posting or reading the Forum for nearly a month, in May and April this year, as I was away overseas on a work assignment. Am sure missed lots of things but was pre-occupied more on getting work done and not missing my flights. Lol. So after an absence of a month, I see the forums and did a lot of catching up with reading delicious topics. I like learning about the world around me. the machinations of life, with all the conflicts and despair, fascinates me and make me understand more of myself. Perspective, knowledge and evolution is important to me. I get some of that in here, in rhp, as i discover another facet of my life. Viva la Forum!!!!!

The forums are the best part of RHP. Truth be told I'm less concerned with meeting people than just dropping by and plopping in and out of the forums. But it's the regulars here that I tend to keep in mind if I ever get the itch to become a member. Actually, I'd love to contact someone without the itch. Sometimes tedious, sometimes repetitive, sometimes warming, sometimes educating, sometimes not so educating, sometimes I wish i wasn't educated with that, sometimes nothing at all, sometimes ooh too much. Sometimes offers the best insight into the women and men here and goes much further than a stationary profile does. Enjoy being a guest at the tea party in the weird garden.
