G-Spot

January 04 2010

I was at work reading ninemsn and this was a topic that caught my eye.   The holy grail of female sexual pleasure — the G-spot — does not exist, according to a new study. British researchers at Kings College London found no evidence to support long-standing claims there is a collection of internal nerve endings that trigger the ultimate in sexual ecstasy. "Women may argue that having a G-spot is due to diet or exercise, but in fact it is virtually impossible to find real traits," study co-author Tim Spector said.   "This is by far the biggest study ever carried out and it shows fairly conclusively that the idea of a G-spot is subjective." The findings came after researchers surveyed more than 1800 woman, all identical and non-identical twins. Each woman was asked whether they thought they had a G-spot before their answer was cross-checked against their twin.   If the G-spot did in fact exist, the twins would be more likely to give similar answers because of similarities in their genes. But the research found no such pattern. Research co-author Andrea Burri said she hoped the findings would remove a "rather irresponsble" pressure on women and men in the bedroom.

So...would that research done on twins at Kings College in London actually wipe out the very pleasant thought that some woman may have a very active G-spot and in others it may be more subdued...or does it just indicate that you are not going to have much luck finding that magical spot on control group of of twins in London?    Okay...so those of us that are willing to continue the research can scrap any efforts on those particular twins...but what about the rest of the woman in the world and especially those that don't have a twin or live in London?   Besides, how exciting would it have been for those women to talk so some tweed jacketed English doctor about what got them going?  "No" is always a good answer when you want to get out of a doctor's office as quickly as possible?   It will be interesting to hear the ladies from Oz talk about this one!

I beleive that so much faking in orgazams , created the famous G-spot  mystery and location, cos woman can create faked orgazam , but men can fake all the way along ....as a matter of fact , can fake all relationship..

Nope, I disagree... there is definitely a G-spot but perhaps it could be called a needle in a haystack...?

Yes I read the article this morning and thought what a load of crock.  All women do have at least one G-spot... for some it is easy to find.. (as it is certain nerve endings and those will be very close to the surface)... others well not so easy so hence they say they dont have one.It also depends on the amount of pressure that is applied and the way it is touched in that particular area... Funny I never thought I had one (Kaz here).. considering I was married to a guy for 15 years and he never found it... but with my hubby now ... to my total amazement I actually have 3.What they have failed to state in this article is what the actual stats were... for the identical and non identical twins.... but why did they just use twins????Na ... I dont believe this survey one little bit.  Wonder how many women will state they have one or not.Oh and with regards to the fake orgasim... honestly I do believe it is tied into the G-spot. (but that is just my opinion).and for taking pressure off in the bedroom .... na, that wont happen either.

surely there are much better methods for determining if women have a place where there is a big collection of nerve endings, and whether or not those nerve endings relate to orgasm than just asking people - be they twins or not. I mean, there are rather a few very clever imaging tools available to us now - its not like you could only find out by examining cadavers, now you can see things in action (so to speak)hmm, I happen to know someone in the imaging field, I wonder how comfy the MRI beds are... lol

I think that asking people to recall is not alway the best method of research. That is with out clues to aid recall. I am available to assist in stimulating woman and help aid there recall ....purely for scientific (fun) purposed

The first thing that came to mind is how do I get a research grant to conduct such a survey? How does this explain the latest US fad of women having botox injections into their G spot to increase their sexual enjoyment? Surly that's not the placebo effect? Why is it that this region gets highly engorged when manipulated, and is often associated with incredible orgasms and squirting. Now I'm not a female and only going on observations... But give me 1800 women to stimulate and I'll die a a happy man. My report will come out after posthumously.

I don't mean to add to stereotypes but are the English the right people to be asking about sex anyway. Most people lie in surveys too!
