Guys and makeup

June 08 2017

For awhile now I have been wearing a bit of eye liner when I go out, not on the job or mundane shit like shopping but you know, party, pub, footy, dinner, a band. I have black, hazel, brown and purple. I love watching people trying to work it out, it's hilarious! And I do like the way it makes your eyes "pop" I did lower eyelid at first, now top as well. I love Jonny Depps pirate look and am tempted to try it. Ha, or maybe Alice Cooper ! So guys, ever used any makeup ? For fun ? Regular like ? Ladies, what's your opinion ? Sexy done well ? A bit camp ? Or just a big NO ?

I enjoy watching Geordie Shore, but I don't want to live that life :p I've had a full face purple glitter as part of a costume, but my use of regular makeup stops at the occasional spot of someone's lip gloss if I can't find my own lip balm and need it desperately.

KC will be wearing guyliner on Saturday night to the QLD M&G and dare I say he seems quite excited to be doing it too. But then again he likes the shock value in doing things that most people consider not so normal. 💋

Not since i played Oberon in highschool and they did me up all sparkly which i disagreed with cos i thought he was more of a dark sinister faerie than a bright joyous twinkly fairy. But you know, Drama teacher's artistic vision and all. Although, come to think of it, there was this one Halloween where i dressed up as a washer woman. Curlers in my hair, one loose sock around my ankle while the other was at my knee, a nightie and a bathrobe and for cosmetics badly applied lipstick with some on my teeth and some liner and eye shadow and a beauty mark. People kept telling me i was the scariest thing at the party. As to you wearing it Sailbad, it looks good on some guys especially if the rest of your dress matches. And since i assume Sailbad is a play on Sinbad that's totally on point too. And i would love to see the faces of those who see it for the first time and try to work out if its natural or make-up. I love when people do them and tell the rest of the world to suck it. Kudos

Go for it! I admit I have not come across a man wearing it (at least as far as I know), however, have seen celebrities use it and to me it looks just fine! I say, if you like it and it makes you feel good, go for it :)

coz it is sexy when done well. There's a great variety of makeup in all price brackets to experiment with these days.I've been hoping for years that guys would jump on board more often with makeup and skin care as well coz it is important to clean skin properly and use sunscreen everyday.

It's funny that really we're only going back to a phase that we have visited before in history. Now, I realise you're not talking Frankenfurter but yummo for him. And yeah, I enjoy seeing people breaking the current mores, so yes on that score too. Peachy, ironically does not wear make-up.

It's common to see men with makeup in entertainment and sometimes, theme parties and festivals and I won't flinch in those scenarios. I've got guy friends who do it either for fun, the shock factor, or as an extension of their sexual identity and it's ok. My kinda guy though, is more rugged than metrosexual. Any makeup on a man won't turn me on at all. It makes me think of Dr Spock.

Love Placebo, love how Brian Molko looks, loved Bowie in his Ziggy phase and all that, Boy George was and still is a master of makeup. Having said that, for us non-rock ordinary schmos I'm not sure that many of us could get away with it. You could post a pic of just your eyes Sailbad, we could rate it? "Remember me when you're the one who's silver-screened, remember me when you're the one you always dreamed, remember me whenever noses start to bleed, remember me - special needs". Not the best musical wordsmith ever, Brian, but you're pretty good.

Not into the metro look at all, either simply highlighting what I have or the dark villain thing, like Jack Sparrow (yes I know he's a bit camp but hey) Alice Cooper or another that comes to mind is Floki from Vikings. It may be strange but it's got to be manly.
