  I am just chillin at home tonight. Got same problem with friends and family all out and about with pre xmas stuff.Always looking for new friendsI dont think there is anything wrong with being fussy either.

  just how fussy you are, I don't know whether you are one of those women with a specification and checklist that would rival that of a major civil construction project, and reject all bids from non compliant tenderer s. Does bring to mind a picture of a group of womens skeletons sitting around a table, bedraggled in cobwebs and the caption reads "women waiting for the perfect man".But i do wish yo all the best in finding that special someone, nobody deserves to be on their own, we all operate so much better when we have that someone.Cheers Nev

  i would happily be your friend Miss Velvet!!  I  have a situation where i live and  work out of the metropolitan area and i work weekends so when i do get to the city, my time is with my friends....I do have a lover who i like very much, but it is a it and miss affair at the moment with us..*sigh* what is a woman to do!!!

  you are all awesome and supportive thanks... was having one of those moments the next day I called some friends I had lost contact with and we had tea.. no drinks or funny business but was sure a great pick me up   xmas can be lonely especially when you are single for the first time in 10 years, was married lol, but now I am remembering the upside... girlies and laughs and not asking permission or needing an explaination whenyou get home at 1 am cause you were sitting at maccas having a coffee and lost track of the time

  VelvetBite, I know what you mean. I'm on holidays and have spent the last two days at home alone watching DVDs because everyone else is working. I have just gotten out of a relationship of nearly three years and at 21 that's a pretty huge chunk of young adulthood! I was upset initially but I'm slowly realising that there are so many things I can do now that I'm single and, like you said, it's all about catching up with the girls, having fun, meeting new people, putting yourself out there - pretty much doing whatever you want, whenever you want. I wish you much fun and zero lonely nights in this new chapter of your life.
