We only do a Good Friday thing with the family, then the rest of the weekend is free for fun - the ex has the kids and I have the whole time to myself !!! Time to make a list...

My son will be visiting. There's no better feeling than having both of my children in my home. Nitro Circus will be here over Easter so we have tickets for that. Usually, Easter is about helping the local CFA out with the Royal Children's Hospital Easter Appeal, seeing the faces of my nieces and nephews light up with their Easter bundles, Easter egg hunts with them, fish on Friday and a nice break over the four day long weekend.

Eating warm buttered hot cross buns for breakfast while sipping percolated coffee with a big splash of Baileys...... And of course rosey bubbles with cheeses in the afternoon

Just a chance to catch up with my sister, niece and nephew. They come up from Melbourne and I never miss an opportunity to be my two favouritist kids in the world. Mind you I wouldn't mind some chocolate on a pair of buns of the female variety

Warm buttered apple and cinnamon buns from Coles. I've already eaten too many. Easter will be chocolate - Lindt, mmmm I have the four days off prior so a great break and soooo looking forward to it. 🐰🥚 - Posted from rhpmobile

I've been buying them since they became available, like, two days after Christmas. I always buy two packets... one for immediate consumption, and one goes in the freezer for when they're no longer available. As an indication, I'm eating at least a dozen a week right now, so the freezer stash is pretty significant right now lol. They are my favourite thing... second only to sex. Over Easter, the plan is to combine the two.

Sadly I don't think hot cross buns can really be associated with Easter anymore. They are basically year round these days. Remember when it was just those couple of weeks a year you had access to them and they were GOOOD . If only your taste buds remembered them as they were
