Im a hugger, I greet everyone with a hug and all of my friends are the same. Im a first hugger. If someone says they dont like it I wont hug them, though. Not everyone is affectionate. If I havent seen someone for a while, theres nothing better than a big hug with them! Hugs all the way here

I hug fully engaged.I hold onto a hug - sometimes I even say.. "No! I am not finished yet" MOSTLY though, I look for signs that the other person WANTS a hug..Being my age, appearance and demeanour - apparently scares some people off..I avoid all actions which MIGHT be construed as "Sleazy" and/or inappropriate.. AND SF..... FYI.... I WAS MOST CERTAINLY looking forward to wrapping my arms around you.

But in person, I love to hug and be hugged. I'm an offerer with open arms and a tip of the head as invitation. It feels good. Peachy, hugs

Definetely NOT a cuddler. Never have been. Find it quite awkward. Even with my kids. My hubby LOVES to cuddle though..... opposites attract I guess.

I like hugs but don't want them all the time. I generally reserve them for people I haven't seen in a bit. Like Cavey I tend to wait until ''invited'' but I think blokes have to do that these days. Generally my hugs come with a kiss, peck on the cheek only of course, as I figure that anyone I care about enough to hug gets one of those as well - but only for the women obviously. Occasionally, for those really special ones, I will have unfastened my fly in preparation and will waggle my ''old fulla'' about whilst flapping my arms briefly before the hug. I call it ''the unwell seagull''.

I lived in California in the early nineties I attended a local Chamber of Commerce meeting. There were many alternative therapists in attendance including a very large bearded man in a kaftan who rushed up to me arms open wide and who announced," My name is Kai and I'm a hug therapist " startled I replied " I 'm Australian and we don't hug." Invited, standing up, quiet, strength of presence and freedom to end it, no constant patting of back or rubbing while hugging (there may be a few moments where it is appropriate - just not constant), non sexual and no ulterior motive. Just be there.

A hugger, and a cuddler. As long as I know they are wanted by the intended recipient. If in doubt, I don't.

Hugs are valuable. Essential for overall wellbeing. Vastly prefer a solid, meaningful hug to a perfunctory 'damn, we're not - oh ... um [lips of each party get involved; tension rises; did I have any crumbs caught in the corner of my mouth; f@#&!]' peck.

With people I know and treasure, I love a good hug. It’s an earned thing though.

I tend to sleep cuddling a pillow and would like to swap it for something less inanimate :)

I love hugs and cuddles but I don’t initiate. My kids have learnt to just wrap their arms around me or climb onto my lap and they get a good cuddle and hug. I do love to cuddle and lay in someone’s arms after sex. Weirdly I find people that don’t cuddle off putting but I am probably seen as off putting by some as I don’t intimate it.. what a conundrum 🤔 To me without the cuddling it doesn’t feel intimate. I need that connection after.

I wouldn't call myself a hugger, but if a guy doesn't spoon me after sex, he won't get invited back

Definitely love hugging and cuddling. I quite often instigate a hug as a greating or saying bye. Depends on who the other person is. Love snuggling up on the lounge or lying in bed. Doesn't have to lead to anything else. I just enjoy the intimacy of it.

Is important to most humans.Often older single people live without having this in their lives.Perhaps Medicare should fund therapeutic massage. I don't know about cuddle parties but I know people have advertised for cuddle buddies..intimate but non sexual contact Hugs Q

Long time ago I been to a party and at the entrance, you got these poppet collars in different colors. One was ok to hug, not sure, and no thank you. I really enjoyed the party. Would be really interested if we have one...

I've not been, but I have a friend who hosts them periodically, for his poly/ swinging group of friends. Pj's, movies, and snuggles on the couch or beanbags.

Are the parties just "cuddles" only or does they lead to more sexual activities? Ms Foxy

It’s normal to hug when greeting someone from our (Polynesian) culture - Especially Bro handshake and hug at the same time 😜😂

They have a mix of both - but participation is voluntary. He has had some that are just cuddles, and he flags up front that that will be the extend of the physical intimacy.

I am a massive hugger! I get just as much out of holding someone, holding hands and kissing as i do out of sex. I think its more intimate and i love spooning in bed with our legs crossed together. Waking up before her and just holding her and listening to her sleep is amazingly beautiful, especially when she opens her eyes and hopefully smiles!

Love spooning and cuddles, both in out of the bedroom. Heaps of cuddles outside the bedroom cloths on. LOL Find that cuddles are relaxing just as much as spooning, spooning with FWB after the fact is a given. Great way to start the day, of course followed by a hardy breakfast. :)
