Information Overload

October 11 2018

As a slowly establishing party provider we would love some feedback on what you all need to know, like to know and just plain want to know about events & their planners. Lately the common thread is last minute withdrawal from guest list due to cost. Now it is mentioned in every visible write up by us that there is a cost and also what this cost is covering... Location, food, drinks, all party favours and ofcourse our time as hosts. Is it because we have too much information available that it is overlooked? Guest list & exact location is not given until payment is made and it is the week of the party...but 95% of event planners do this in Melbourne and we try to stay on par. Who we are as your hosts and a run down is available on our profile and PG... Dates of parties we have planned are listed also in our profile but also event listings... There’s a lot of info out there about us to make an educated choice to begin vetting process yet people don’t seem to bother reading. So tell us.... What do you want to see/read/know? - Posted from rhpmobile

i think you might be better putting your price on the original events box ,everyone talks so entry price doesn’t need to be a secret ,have it there before people even registration interest ,i do remember it was outside our limit ,but understand some things just cost more to run and if that’s the case they cost more to go to,eg sydney and we arent in sydney btw lol , there are so many choices these days in melbourne ,and if you want to attend a few. it gets expensive and out of reach for the average or couple add in dinner, drinks, petrol,e tags accomodation if needed, and i’m sure there’s other things anyway not having a go in any way shape and form. just giving our perspective mr b - Posted from rhpmobile

Mainly because you list your time in the costs. Do you as hosts not join in too? If so you'd be getting the fun too surely. - Posted from rhpmobile

Looks like the perfect sexy night out with sexy people! I wish you were in Perth too. In answer to your question, maybe a dot point brief run-down of important information on your profile would help with the filtering process. For a younger crowd, costs may be prohibitive, but this information isn't on the profile. I really hope Perth gets something like this soon! - Posted from rhpmobile

Sounds as though you have most of the pertinent information covered. Exact cost up front is good. There is no way to withdraw "interested" on RHP. People's circumstances change and they can't always make every event they're interested in. Some money up front helps harden commitment. Best hosts we know phone first time prospective guests. - Posted from rhpmobile

It does require dozens of hours to set up an event. The ad prep, vetting process, answering questions, organising food and venue. We also do events and we know how time consuming it is. Good luck with your events Private Society - Posted from rhpmobile

Thanks for all the feedback, it’s great. We cover cost straight up when asked however posting costs is difficult as it varies. We host intimate penthouse gatherings for 6-10 or larger 30+ guest events and both will vary in price. ‘Hosting’ is not just on the night but from weeks out, organising, communication (which is a part time job), day of set up, post party follow up...it’s not just about the party itself. Having attended most events in Melbourne and knowing costs of some parties that do not feed you or supply drinks we feel we offer above and beyond the standard for $200 per couple. We will happily throw a freebie mixer when we make a profit haha You could be waiting a while though... So I guess to cover some questions here all you need to bring to PS is...yourself. Literally. There is ample food, French champagne, premium cocktails, imported beer and options galore for non drinkers. Your hosts are your hosts, all night. If one isn’t available others are. We are only in Melbourne...for the time being. Looking forward to more constructive comments 😊 PS x - Posted from rhpmobile

I'm unlikely to be able to attend, but I am curious about the options for non drinkers, because that is me. Do you mean there is a different price option or just other types of drinks? I am quite happy to eat my equivalent worth of alcoholic drinks though haha. - Posted from rhpmobile

The per person price in this case is less than what I'm used to so to speak ;) At least you get fed it appears! - Posted from rhpmobile
