No ... It's an influential organ, though. Nothing wrong with wanting to be able to hold an enjoyable, stimulating, funny, tricky, reifying conversation while having a drink together or between play no. 1 and play no. x. Intelligence comes in countless forms. Don't be puzzled by people listing it as a preference of a similar personal value to smoking status and safe sex. - Posted from rhpmobile

Hi, To have a good basic knowledge on different subjects , and being able to talk about them and know what you can do. There are some subjects I have little idear about and wont say oh yes I,m good at that, so I,ll say sorry it,s not with in my field of expertise,n plus in some case,s I,ll just say keep out of that detail, What I found strange was I,d go to speak to some one and they would not talk at all just a grunt and its like ...oh....so for myself I do have lots of interests and those I,m involved with we have lots incommon. of cause I,ll relate that back to our music concerts and such like most of my friends know I,m very strong in our music section. And I quess my age has a bearing on topics I like and can talk about. oh well different life I spos. ...noeleena...

All I know is many old or unfit people who have lost stamina use these kind of nice words to cover for it. I guess we need to learn these as well, as we are getting old. If you are intelligent enough to read the clue when I am not interested..and if you have seen enough of the world to understand diversity. That is enough intelligence for us...but you are welcomed to bring IQ test results or share your inventions. I guess more then "intelligence" the most subjective word used here is "connection". Typically someone will say I can't jump in the bed straight away. I need connection. Well we are yet to come across any one here who jumps in the bed straight away. Every one needs some kind of connection and it is naive or stupid to assume I am the one who needs connection and rest are ready to jump in the bed. It is completely useless to utter this word "connection" without making effort to explain what you mean. What kind of connection you need to have one of social sex with someone compared to what connection you will expect from a LTR?

me thinkie thinkie that one doth not need to actually state that they are seeking edumacated intelligent people in their profiles. if your profile is well written and a true reflection of what you are, then intelligence will be inferred not stated.i think its the height of quasi intellectual snobbery to paint such a picture, like quite a few profiles that mention sapiosexuality. i shudder at that term.

Meh. Time travel happens all the time. Time is warped due to the effect of gravity on the proverbial fabric of space. If you are moving through space as we all are, time also passes differently depending on our rate of movement in comparison to others. Atomic clocks on Earth are even accurate enough to measure that a person living/standing just one story above another ages differently (i.e. time is passing) at a different rate, due the minor difference in the influence of gravity as you go further away from the centre of gravity of the Earth. Maybe not quite the same as the idea of going back/forward in time to meet a younger/older copy of yourself (and perhaps to give yourself an uppercut in disgust), but still... :) Am I intelligent? Maybe. Maybe not. Perhaps I can just read. I think Forrest Gump said it best: "Stupid is as stupid does". So, by that definition I can say that I am at times intelligent, at other times not so much. As for an attraction to intelligent people, I know the wearing of glasses is a vision thing, but I am attracted to those wearing glasses because of such (likely false) connotation. Go figure. I'm going now to try and score a date at the library. :P

Earlier today I accidentally farted in front of a client. There I was, talking away, when - totally unforeseen and unbidden - a small pocket of gas very casually exited my anus. It sounded like a small, out-of-date firecracker gong off in a cardboard box. In that way that you do in such situations, I paused for just a beat with a slightly panicked look on my face before just continuing on as though nothing had happened. The grin that sprouted and spread across my clients face told me of course that my little peat bog moment had not gone unnoticed. ''Frogs are out, eh?'' he casually interrupted, and I nearly died. This little anecdote is just to prove that, today, I am paddling in the very shallow end of the intellectual pool.

First thing we did was block all the single men profiles. Why some may ask?, it is that they make problems, swarm parties and seemingly think that the supposed anonymity of the internet allows them to say gross things about the sex they want. Yes, we have had some gross messages from single men so much in the same vein as Dick the butcher said, ‘but first we kill all the lawyers’ in Shakespeare's Henry VI, Part 2, Act IV, Scene 2. We say block all single men, then we can all enjoy generally hassle free swinging as dick saw the overthrow of power easier without lawyers. This adds a twist to the topic........what is intelligence, it seems something not exercised very often by single men on adult sites. - Posted from rhpmobile

how do you define intelligence? i always say I'm not intelligent I'm just good at remembering things. Yes i have a degree and work in a specialised Medical field but does that make me intelligent, no it makes me educated. intelligence can come in many forms, they ability to hold a conversation l, have an interest and passion about anything is intelligent. always been something as a description i have struggled with - Posted from rhpmobile

Could not agree with Fidofabe What is intelligence ?and how is it defined ? Yes there are tests to measure but are they definitive ? I’m over educated and I too have a excellent memory. I am well read because I love to read and I am curious by nature. I can hold a conversation on many levels and I am socially and newsworthy aware But I’m very ignorant politically, at times I’m very tunnel visioned and I sometimes look at issues after someone has pointed out the blatantly obvious to me that I simply cannot see things differently, I do not always think outside the box and I’m not always as open minded as I think I am on many subjects I’m passionate, driven, articulate but at times I lack street smarts and modern art does my head in but I don’t care So what is intelligence ? To me, it’s what Einstein said “The definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over again but expecting different results” If you have learnt your lessons in life, recognise your patterns and shortcomings and not kept on repeating the same mistakes, then in my opinion, not only is that self awareness but real intelligence

I think, for me anyway, when I say 'intelligent' I want someone to be able to string a sentence together, not just "how you doin" which I get in messages quite often. Obviously these ppl are not 'intelligent' enough to read my profile carefully, or understand what I'm saying. For women, well for me again, it's just not about the physical act of using ones body, I believe, for me there needs to be a 'connection' and that comes from being able to converse with someone on the same level, which yes, is very Subjective.........................For me, I don't want a booner that says "how you doin babe? " please, there's more to it than that and I think if you've been in this scene a while, you'd understand the need for respect and the word 'intelligence'

Yeah why do you think Im talking to you. Why?OMG needless to say I didnt bother... Instead I questioned my own intelligence. The bar is low and even then they struggle. I like being called a red hot fucker too by the way.Ps I never read 50 shades of grey I have other things to do so that all went straight over my head. :)

Being attracted to intelligence in a women builds respect, power and horniness for me :) Pretty much what most people have indicated, they need to string some well rounded sentences together when conversing, usually be involved with knowledge work in their career, and not finish each sentence with the word 'aye'. Fucking and Sucking and Licking is awesome for an hour, but what do you do with the other 20 hours you are with them if you can't communicate and talk about other topics - Or yell at the TV like a twat? Love Yous All Aye!!! XOX

I’m not sure it’s a real want or need. I see profile after profile that says “intellectual or conversation” and so on. Yet when it comes down to it where you live, the size of your wallet, muscle tone, and if you have kids that matters more. I’m yet to meet a woman who says that I’m not intelligent and on the whole I’m yet to date a woman that wasn’t more intelligent than me. Yet I discover and chat to far less women who ask for intelligence as part of a profile. I completely accept that people are looking for different things but I don’t think that intelligence is one that is in the top ten. I’m still waiting to hear “your so smart, I want to rip your clothes off right now!” - Posted from rhpmobile

For me it’s not so much about “intelligence” but mental stimulation that I do prefer in a playmate.. their ability to have me looking forward to the next play with regular conversation and sexting. And yes being able to hold a decent conversation or knowing when to just have a comfortable silence in between sessions makes the night more enjoyable. Knowing how to pique a lady’s interest.. (not just with cock pics).. and generate desire... a good looking playmate without any of these abilities and it tends to fizzle out.. :-( I like longing for the next play date... just makes the meetup more explosive .. I suppose it’s like virtual foreplay before the meet ... - Posted from rhpmobile

Imo mentioning 'intelligence' in a profile may be a way of saying one is looking to be seduced and not just sexed? Although intelligence is probably the wrong description, intelligence can be interpreted in limitless ways. One may be book smart but have little social or life skills etc, are they deemed intelligent.. It's only an interpretation - Posted from rhpmobile

Each to their own, but for me even if sex is the main aim I still want someone to stimulate me more than just physically. Someone who is able to hold a conversation, who knows how to develop desire on multiple levels, someone who can be open about what they want and discuss what the other wants, someone who understands what mutual respect means and has a degree of emotional intelligence to ensure everyone is on the same page. Who knows maybe I'm asking too much, I have been told I'm too picky.....

We have met people with exceptional intelligence quotients and abundant academic accomplishments that were as enjoyable to listen to as Vogon poetry...its surely about engagement...or, if you like, connection...the way you interact with your world, with others and with yourself is determined by your physical, emotional, spiritual and intellectual capacities and heritage...how do you decide if an aesthetic preference is intelligent? Enjoy it all, splash around in the subtle mixture of it all..and never ignore the hard wiring subject to the obvious limits.

For me, it's merely about a person being able to string a few words together. The use of a little punctuation and the ability to have some enjoyable banter at the same level. Intelligence is subjective and everyone is reached intellectually through a different level that is particular to them and their intelligence and experience of the world. Much like attraction... Again very personal. At the end of the day, I'm not attracted to someone that I can't converse with. I've found that when I sleep with someone that I can't chat to then the sex is shallow and simple much like the conversation. Sometimes that's ok too... Lol - Posted from rhpmobile

Being able to read my profile and realising that "Hi" just isn't gonna cut it Looking at my age preferences and being able to count high enough so you know whether you're in that age range Knowing women aren't turned on by a million questions as you go through your sexual checklists The ability to note there's no public gallery therefore there's no point asking "do you have any more pics" The insight to choose housemates that arent opposed to you having sex Or better yet - being smart enough to earn an income that enables you to live on your own Being smart enough not to ghost when you actually have a woman interested in meeting Knowing when you've got a woman worth seeing regularly instead of being distracted by the candy in the store XX - Posted from rhpmobile

I was nodding my head at your post going sure, yep, totally agree But I thought your sentence “or better yet, being smart enough to earn an income that enables you to live on your own “ was a bit harsh I live on my own and I have a good job to support that lifestyle choice but I was for years a uni student living in shared houses, studying and working 2 jobs. Zero privacy but that’s what you sacrifice to get that great job Even when I finally finished uni and got a good job, I had a massive HECS debt to pay off and so my living arrangements stayed the same for quite some time. Being smart enough to earn a income to support your single living arrangements being whether you rent or are buying is no easy feat nowadays especially if you live in Sydney or Melbourne and you are also paying off educational debts to give you that attractive income in the first place. I dont see how being smart enough to earns a income equates to being able to afford to live alone I know guys will say they can’t host because of housemates etc I get it, however from my own experience it’s rarely about housemates who don’t give a shit anyway and more about the other women in their lives . A generalisation I know but that’s my experience I think people need to be a little mindful of others finances especially if guys are also paying child support etc People’s finances , a sensitive topic However, totally agree with your other points, I’ve so been there

My personal and professional opinion is that you’re never going to get an objective measure of intelligence based on what someone has self-reported on their profile or written in a forum post or message. I say this having two psychology degrees and a masters in human factors...though I am acutely aware of the irony of posting that could be interpreted as some kind of self-promotion regarding intelligence! 😬 I firmly believe we’re much better meeting up in person and judging for yourself if you’re both a good intellectual match. That doesn’t mean you both have to be members of Mensa, just intellectually compatible. I’ve connected with people on RHP who I’ve thought were intellectually and emotionally a great match, only for the trail to go cold for one party...perhaps because they’ve misinterpreted something you’ve written. Tone is everything, intelligence cannot be measured by prose alone. Meet up and trust your gut when it comes to assessing a connection, intellectual or otherwise. Don’t rush to judgement on texts/online messages alone. - Posted from rhpmobile

When l read these things from profiles the First thing that comes to mind is that the writer is looking not so much for intelligence but more someone whom u think is not boring! What a laugh really coz if you are bored from supposed lack of intelligence, then the problem lies within yourself. Everyone l know on earth has their own special subject, and when being polite when you meet someone, for the first time, you listen...you may not like his speech, or the subject that is aired, you may either think its utterley mindless and lacking in intelligence, but it boils down to, you are bored.. So unless your new friend is a mute then l guess its up to you to find out if you both have something in common, then conversation can miraculously become both intelligent and interesting. I've yet to meet someone whom is totally lacking in intelligence lol but in saying that, l know a lot of intelligent people whom have the ability to act like complete morons! - Posted from rhpmobile

It's a discerning way to filter the ferals from the fine ones. Intelligence is also a worthy trait if someone was asking another to describe a scenario or to pen a fantasy. Who isn't bored of the "hi" "hey" 'hi there" "sup"??? It's dull and tedious. Any man who can present interesting prose of artistic, descriptive sexuality and sensuality has my vote, my number.. And a date! - Posted from rhpmobile

I would probably be one to rip your clothes off and say "you're so smart"... I was almost tempted until you had typed, "your so smart“.... Sigh. - Posted from rhpmobile

I recently had a Tinder date. He told me about the did he worked in, the places he'd been, the research he was conducting, the intricacies of psychology. I was so turned on I touched myself in the restaurant and he kicked my fingers as we exited the restaurant and fucked in his Mercedes. Brains. Class. Smart. Style. Knowledge. Aroogance. Intelligence. Sexy. - Posted from rhpmobile

I like to think I'm somewhat intelligent and I own a Mercedes too! Ok it's a van, but at least there's more room in the back... ;) - Posted from rhpmobile

I think you have just hit the nail on the head with your post. Im single and NOT interested in couples. If the owners of RPH site were astute they would create a sub site just for swingers where single profiles could not contact couples. Maybe you should start a post/ petition to see if this is viable. jxxxx

I owned a TractorQuoting '4or34Funx' after reading a post in another forum may never use phrase "Toorak Tractor" again (what were the odds), perhaps oversized, under utilised, environmentally irresponsible, pretentious, German Branded, self entitled light truck? Toorak Tractor--taken out of context. A Toorak tractor is a Rangerover. Have used an early model RR to pull hayrake at harvest when tractor broke down LOL. It was named thus because a lot were bought as status symbols by Wealthy residents of Toorak .Today models Useless overpriced pieces of shit and unpractical.

In my humble opinion ‘towelsrequired’ sums it up. While we may all have different levels of what we consider intelligence, emotional maturity, stimulating conversation I feel that being involved in any social situation is made more enjoyable by being able to talk, chat, without needing to delve straight into personal statistics and lingerie colour choices - Posted from rhpmobile

I find intellectual conversations sexy! Intelligence to me is showing me a message that’s not started by ‘ hey ‘ Or ‘ how you doing’ Write something else , spell properly and have a valid long response for every answer! Use your words and find your brain .. I love it when someone puts the effort in to actually get to know you , ask multiple questions and can hold a conversation! It shows me your a man , not a boy! - Posted from rhpmobile

keen classy sexy Sorry darling the pretentious miss out in my opinion.. Limiting experiences in life due to superficial expectations, job, car arrogance etc wow... Happiness defined by materialism. Beware of your posesaions in life for they will posses you, (normally due to the commitment to pay for the damn things). Brands are just for image.. For me function over fashion all day, everyday.. Example..I love my piece of s@#t ute because I can fix it ,modify and break it all by myself.. Best of all it carts materials and supplies from the hardware to my house. And has earnt me money, why replace with a high end luxury piece of s*#t vehicle. In my prior trade my boss enjoyed financially raping these types of vehicle owners as they typically struggled to start the car at bizarre hours in remote locations. especially when they dont move the gear lever from D to P. Smart ay? To all Time is money! Therefore the most amount of money for least amount of time wins. Dont confuse wealth with work ethic. Grammar hang ups indicate ocd english teachers yes it indicates the ability to articulate thoughts into words but whats vital is the actual message. But hey you enjoy your right to be nittpicky we all have expectations. Anniewhichway I thinkon what they are refering to with time travel is the space time continuem and in order to manipulate the fabric of time and space we need to travel at the speed of light. Unfortunately means we approach infinate mass.. Good point about atomic clocks country touch but I dont think anyones getting wet over the granfather paradox.. I dont mind a good chat tho been a while since I've talked physics Rocket science is alotta projectile motion which just a shit load of maths. Plz no more flux capacitor quotes back to the future has been done to death.. Makes me cringe now. See if I've stirred the pot.tehe
