No Sex

Has anyone gone off sex for a while? If yes why & how long did you last without it? Im sure this topic would have been brought up before. I've tried it without for 8 months but that was when I was younger. Im thinking about to challenge myself for 1 year may be next year damn that's gonna be boring I might have to do something really to take my mind off like studying or something. - Posted from rhpmobile

Was only talking about this a little last night...It's been about 8 months for me (I didn't calculate it exactly) ;) It's just worked out that way because I haven't bothered making an effort to meet anyone after my last disaster of a 'date', and changing jobs around the same time. I've just focused on work this year and not worried about meeting anyone or sex. Now it's come up though...it's probably going to be on my mind and I'll start feeling frustrated! lol

I've gone off sex for long periods a few times before... none of which were by choice I wonder if it's harder to voluntarily not have sex for a long period, or to try and break a dry spell!

I Personally think the more sex you have the more you want. So if you decide on a year of celibacy I would imagine by the end you wouldn't crave it anymore. Huntress, are you going to stop self loving too? As in no orgasms at all?? Just curious. - Posted from rhpmobile

out of frustration I closed my account and decided to have break, just had enough. Just concentrating on myself, but not for as long as Id hoped. Couldn't stay away the temptation was too great. No way I could do a year☺ good luck - Posted from rhpmobile

I have gone 2 years when I first became single - by choice. It didn't bother me as I had lots going on, new life, building a new home, learning about myself again. Even now it's not a high priority, I have a fairly busy fulfilled life and trying to find someone I click with that ticks my boxes isn't easy, - Posted from rhpmobile

I have chosen to have a dry spell many times. But normally due to wanting to focus on personal goals. I want sex to be mutually beneficial for both, if it's not I choose no sex. - Posted from rhpmobile

For a period of 3.5 years after my last relationship broke up. I had no interest and focused on career and kids. Then I found RHP 😜 Since I've been on here I do short periods of 6-8 weeks generally when I'm just over everything and need a break.

Longest period was for a year after leaving my husband. I needed time to grieve the loss of my previous life and get used to my single life and freedom. Since being sexually active again I have not made a consciousness decision to abstain from sex but if I don't have sex for a month or so it's normally due to no willing/available partner.

....two years now. Not by choice really. Reeling from separation then a round of cancer and treatment and now I just don't know what I am doing! It has been so long since I was in the 'game' that I haven't got a clue.

Hi I didn't have sex for over 18 months up until earlier this year because I just didn't want to... I had pretty much decided I was asexual... I just wasn't attracted to anyone in that way :/ it was really weird. I think I really needed a strong emational/mental connection to make me feel anything... and then it all came back Xx Miss L.Ed
