We used the chat rooms. A few years back they were a thriving online lobby full of men, women and couples, some with cams on and available to view. There would be up to 100 people in both of the main chat rooms and it actually used to be a struggle to get in there!! You could also set up private one on one chats with another member, and get to know them really well. It was just a fun, friendly environment, and quite often a conversation in there would lead to meeting up in real life. It's a shame that these days they are almost always empty, with just a handful of members in there at any given time...it's a mystery as to why it died out over the last few years :( - Posted from rhpmobile

It’s something that needs to be looked at by RHP, maybe. For us, we use IPad and the chat room is not compatible with iOS since it needs flash. Thinking there are lots of others in the same boat who would use it again if we could.

Maybe it is due to technology...I guess 5-6 years ago iPads weren't in every household like they (almost) are nowadays... Everyone in the chatrooms was using a laptop, and laptops have webcams, so that's why maybe it used to be so popular? I dunnno, but I guess why they died out remains an RHP mystery...they were really fun to be involved in though, I used to really enjoy it! - Posted from rhpmobile

I'm the other side of the coin. Messenger & phone apps are easy to control & offer up minimal invasion of privacy if the party knows how to use a block feature. Chat rooms however are to me anyway, clicky dreadful places, where it's just a constant barrage of mixed & irrelevant conversations that are hard to follow. I'm not really suprised busy professionals don't want to use them. Just my thoughts - Posted from rhpmobile

When I was last here the chat room was pretty much full every night,you’d have to wait in the lobby until you could get in. A lot of funny characters so was always a good laugh. Used to be a good place to get to know people but has changed a lot since I’ve been back - Posted from rhpmobile

The main reason I started using kik is because after swapping many phone numbers over a few years, many of those were unnecessary, or some ppl don't delete them when not needed, then expect you to remember them 3yrs later lol So now I rarely swap numbers, even for a meet, unless it's going to be more and then I will, as it is much easier and quicker for that time..

Robjen, try using Puffin browser, you can get in the chat rooms but I’ve found it still has some issues

If you use the app on various electronic divices like mobiles, tablets, computer you loose conversations, it logs you out, then you have to resign back in. It happens to me all the time. I've sorta given up on it and just use my mobile phone. Ms Foxy
