If one of the partners in a relationship wants it to end then nothing will stop it from happening. What's happening is that at least one partner here wants out but wants to be seen as the victim not the instigator. Hugs Stalky

Jearzus you better hope they don't...that's a state that still has capital punishment on the table if you loose in court. Is this the one...it's been all over the media and if not, a rather dark humour read in itself. | "What would angry, bitter divorcing couples do without Facebook for a battleground? |In the latest example of two people losing all sense of reason while they part ways, Angela Voelkert, of Indiana, decided to go digital dirt-digging on her ex-husband, David. She created a fake profile on Facebook of a teenager named Jessica Studebaker (complete with a cute picture) and became friends with him. |“Jessica” quickly became a confidante, as The New York Post reports, and everything was going to plan. But then Mr. Voelkert began to spill details of a plot to bump off Angela. In e-mail messages, he apparently explained how he had attached a GPS to his ex’s car so he could find her when the time came, and even allegedly asked “Jessica” whether she knew someone who might do the job for him. |Ms. Voelkert went to the authorities, who promptly charged Mr. Voelkert last week with illegally installing a GPS, with warnings of more charges to come. In court, the Post story says, his e-mails were widely quoted, including his asking Jessica to run away with him when the deed was done. “Let me know, Baby!” (Signed with a smiley face.) |Except, on Tuesday, all charges were dropped suddenly. It appears Mr. Voelkert had been running a scam of his own. According to The Smoking Gun, he produced a notarized affidavit – signed six days before he first mentioned any sinister plans – that made clear he’d suspected all along that Jessica was really Angela. His affidavit stated that he had “no plans” to harm anyone. “I am lying to this person,” the affidavit states, “to gain positive proof that it is indeed my ex-wife trying to again tamper in my life.” |For all their mutual scheming, Mr. Voelkert paid the bigger price: He spent four days in custody until federal investigators confirmed his affidavit was real."| Quoting 'stalky'What's happening is that at least one partner here wants out but wants to be seen as the victim not the instigator. A classic example that I know was a fact as it occured in the metro I was living in at the time and actually saw then thought about calling the ad placed in the newspaper. A stunning, mint condition, collectors Cadillac De Ville Concours d'Elegance with a price tag of $50. No way...I think a headlight frame at the time was about $250 so didn't even bother calling the obvious typo in the ad. When it hit the news wire services...seems the fair lady selling the ride had been awarded most of her ex-husband's pride and joy toys along with a hefty settlement and alimony. | Just to piss him off...she sold the car for $50.

That makes it even more diabolical... | Quoting 'cl_ms'And it's not actually a news story - she rang a radio drivetime program and told them about it. She probably even knows what drive-time radio the poor bastard listens to and might have sent him flying right over the curb. I just wonder if she left the radio tuned into that same station... | ...she she sold his car for $50. | | I love stuff like this...bet she's a champ firing up a hostile cooperate takeover too!

As has been said; no one knows the whole story and probably if you were to ask anyone involved in the situation they wouldn't be able to give you an accurate representation of all the twists and turns. In my book cheating is being deceitful, misleading someone, telling a lie etc. The 'wronged' woman in this story is as guilty of cheating as her husband or his girlfriend. What she did doesn't make her smarter or better than the other two. At the end of the day it probably won't make her happier either. The best revenge she could have had was to leave quietly and go on to make her life bigger and better without him and his stuff.

she had every right to do this to him. no matter what the circumstances are in anyones marriage or relationship, if you want to fool around with someone else, at least have the guts to admit it and move on from the current relationship. its all a too familiar story these days that people have to line something else up before ending their current relationship.

in other cultures men have several wives... why then is it unacceptable for western guys to have more than one partner when it is obviously human nature?not that i could put up with more than 1 wife... MRNA

Other cultures don't necessarily support divorce nor adminster justice in quite the same way we do in Western civiliation. Can you imagine a class action divorce law suit with all 20 of your wives getting a settlement at once? I think the next 10 generations of your family would be really upset once they fully understood the ramifications of the words "in perpetuity". | Quoting 'we_are_no_angels' not that i could put up with more than 1 wife... No thanks...just chop off my head instead. Seriously though...I think every man should have a wife, and whether it's his own or somebody else's... | ....should be entirely dicretionary.

The problem with polygamy is nobody has figured out a way to implement it without one of the parties (usually a wife) being abused or exploited. I would love to have a wife... I heard this radio segment. The topic of discussion was actually "Instances where you were in contact with someone online, only to discover things weren't as they seemed upon meeting". They were referring to situations where you meet someone only to discover they look nothing like their picture, etc. . The crux of this caller's situation was mostly as the OP has stated. She's married, her husband is having an affair, she's befriended this person under an alias, the girls are close and so she hears her hubby say he's off to see his mates and then has this girl on Facebook telling her she's seeing her lover tonight. . The caller openly admitted that she is building a legal case against him to "secure her future". She insinuated that she was receiving legal advice that indicated she needed to gather a few more "things" together before she could serve him with divorce, otherwise she would be long gone. I did not hear her say she had moved out. She is playing charades to "gather evidence". I noted with a raised eyebrow that she actually said she has no intention of confronting her husband and that this will be over soon. She will file and walk and never speak to him again. . As Stalky has surmised, she is setting herself up as the victim and on the surface of it, I suppose she is. And as others have said, nobody knows the ins and outs of this situation that would enable them to stand in judgement of her actions. I didn't think too hard about this, I just thought she must obviously be fuelled with a great deal of something to have put herself in this position. Whether or not it is bitterness, revenge, hurt, doesn't really matter, does it? But to willingly hear intimate details of her husbands infidelity would require a very strong dose of some kind of emotion, one way or another. . I personally don't believe I could or would subject myself to this, regardless of the cost - the financial or emotional kind. . Flirty x
