Personalities??

November 06 2009

sex

A quick skim of the forums and profiles, as well as the claims of some that another member is whoever is "not genuine" or a "face profile"  has got me wondering how real life personalities might differ from online personalities.     Obviously I don't wander around real life with boobies out discussing the finer points of oral sex with a headless torso or disembodied penis, but I think my online personality is pretty much the same as my real life personality.   How do other feel? Are your online and real life personas pretty much the same? Are out more outgoing/opinionated/submissive or whatever on line?   Is the RHP side of your personality the "real" you, or just a facet?   lovebittenxoxoxoxo

Way to crush my hopes and dreams lovebitten, I was just about to travel down to Warner this weekend to keep a look out for an ample sized pair of breasts hanging out of a top so that I could meet my second RHP person in the flesh! For me, I believe I am pretty much the same, only maybe a little less shy online because of the anonoiminity (that's probably spelt wrong) that the internet allows us.  I am still the same relaxed, likes-a-laugh guy in person as I am on here, just a little less shy of what i'd perhaps disclose/talk about if I were having the same conversation in person.  Although, If I were with people from here in the outside world, I would probably feel comfortable talking about the same topics, just i'd probably feel a tiny bit embarassed about it.I think that if you were to spend time getting to know someone through the site, and then decided to meet and you had lied/put on a bravado, it could potentially be quite disappointing, because you have worked yourself up to be something you're not, and this person perceives you to be this way.Having said that, for about a week (before I got speaking to most people) I lied about my age, having put in 21, when I'm actually 23.  At first I didn't see the problem, and the reason I did this was so that if someone I knew outside of the internet stumbled across my profile, they wouldn't be able to put 2 and 2 together and realise it was me.  I realise the chances of this is very slim, since I don't have a face picture on my public profile, but in the end I had to change it because I felt bad 'lying' to the one or two people I had established an acquaintance with.Don't throw rocks at me. :(

There is no hiding here and those that have met us I am sure will concur that what you see is what you get, both in personality and pics.  To hard to be a different person in different places.   K.

Anything you say, tells us something about you. This holds true whether you are telling the truth or lying.    If you build a fake profile, even that profile still comes from some part of you...  What we see here are fragments of everyone. Little flashes of our personalities. That's what makes the forum interesting. You can pick up on people's vibes for want of better words, and connect with them.   It's very interesting doing this in forums where avatars are not real pictures. In those forums you only have pre-conceptions of how people actually appear ... of the sound of their voice, the clothes they wear etc. It's fascinating actually seeing someone you've connected with in those circumstances and even more fascinating meeting them in person.   Here on RHP the forum is no different except it is a little mroe visual. Here we get to see an image.. usually a picture.. usually a fragment of that person's actual physique... which infuences our pre-conceptions of a person's character. It's a little more than just an avatar.   And then there's the chat room.. you actually see that person in their environment smiling back at you.. or in some instances.. lol... but in any case, in chat you are more visually connected... which influences you in more ways.   The reality of a physical person is also a fragmented experience. You meet me at work and you make your assessment. YOu meet me after work for a beer and you maek your assessment. We have dinner.. you are influenced further as to my character... we go to a gay night club and fuck 30 men... again.. more influence as to my character. These fragments make up a personality. You catch me the next day before Ive cleaned my teeth... whoa... you experience me in one of my many moods.... lol... and you've been exposed to a different side of me. Frankly this forum and RHP is a very limited glimpse of our true personalities.    Well, beyond that.... I've not got the best of memory so I for one, make a lousy liar... if that's what you're driving at.   Hugs GAzza

I must be doing something right (in my eyes at least), nearly every woman I have met from the net has commented that I was exactly like they imagined me to be, both physical and personality wise.  Now sometimes they meant than not as a compliment but I don't care!  What it means is that I am true to myself, and I am pretty damn proud of that.   So many online create a cyber persona that they just can't duplicate in real life, pretty sad really.

Me wears two hats um err uniforms lol.    Depending if I am at work or play.  I think because my work is on the serious side, with rules and regulations, and calls for more of a dominent personality, it sort of creates the complete opposite at play to that to balance me out. It helps me to relax, don't have to think much, can let someone else be boss, cope and forget. So the fun, mucking around, cheeky, norty side  is the way I am, at play.  Coz me wants fun fun fun when me is here.  Get serious,  annoy me etc ya will get the other.  Either way still me.   xx Miss Honey xx <<

I'm dyslexic and find it difficult to write the way I speak, so I don't expect my "charmming" personality to come across well on my profile or the forums, lol.  If you really want to know what I'm like in the flesh, ask sweetpetite41, hehe,... oh yeah and she is who she is, lol.RHG

I think I'm pretty much me on RHP as I am any other time taking into account the many different hats we wear as mentioned by Trish and the facets as mentioned by Gaz. Cheers... Mrs P ;-)

I guess the profile should reflect ones motivation. If one is actively on the hunt or purely here for the social intercourse. A few like myself are not seeking, so it does not matter much what I look like or if I call myself Donald Duck or Mickey Mouse… it's all Disneyland to me. Here to learn the different slants of different people, get up to a bit of mischief, sometimes be serious, and have a bit of harmless fun. Once attended a number of coffee meets and dinners, had a great time, but these days too busy elsewhere. So happy to divulge the real me to genuinely friendly people who aren't axe murders.

It's nice to see someone who can unwind and make this crazy world a fun place. With your diet its no wonder you have that amazingly flat tummy, not to mention the perky upstanding upper substance that certainly adds balance to that fine wine glass figure. A little wind in the bowels indicates all is working well in that region. Its better that natural ruffage and exercise be the cause of regularity, rather than an enema. Though oddly enough some people get off on that? There are so many additives in processed food that they're sure to modify the personality… that's what chemicals do best, if they don't kill you. But then the pesticides can be a pest on fruit and veggies too. It's so hard to escape corruption in one form or the other. Sometime I actually go out and seek it… the corruption not the chemicals. I'm always worried I'll meet some hot lady, to then find she is peddling drugs and is the playmate of an entire bikie gang, who are very possessive and prone to use their two wheelers as a weapon on slow unsuspecting pacifistic pedestrians such as I. Fascinated with your propensity to play with post it notes? Prioritising body parts for play, or is that foreplay? How do you get them to stick to erectile tissues which are constantly undergoing changes?

I think we are all multifaceted and all of the facets of our personalities are real.   I myself struggle with a split personality and often wish I could just be someone else, but wouldn't even know how to begin doing so?   I don't think anybody is inclined to market their personality flaws to the world, unless of course they're a headcase like me and just can't help it lol.   I think most people just try and 'put their best foot forward' ...of course it's not an indication of their entire anatomy but it's still their own real foot :)
