They want to be arrested. The nude beaches are for people who enjoy sunbathing in the nude. And that includes families. I gather the dunes are a hub of activity but Ive never witnessed people having sex on the beach and dont want to.

Far Fun We will have a chuckle, over a drink (if you like) when we come to Cairns in Feb 2019. Are there any nude beaches near Cairns ? We suppose that if the meerkats don’t get you , the crocs and irukandji will :)

Hey DC, Get ready to melt away in February..... can be postively relentless. Holla at me closer to, I'm always up for a drink and a laugh😊 Nude Beaches up here, whilst not sanctioned, we have Buchans Beach and the northern end of Ellis Beach is a popular haunt. Meerkats.... pesky little dune dwellers lol.... they're ALL over. Ive never been too perturbed by them as I think my F#@k Off and Leave me Alone Face doesn't get lost in translation lol I am however only there to sunbake and catchup with people I may already know..... like everyone should be. Alot of people do meet and play and not all are discreet. Ive also seen families there on more than one occassion, which is wonderful but after some of the activities I've seen, I'd not likely take my children down there..... just in case. You can't unsee some things.

Now such opinions are widely condemned. What is to say we have reached the terminus of sexual enlightenment? How do you know that in 20 years public sex won't be as normalised and accepted? What harm is being done? Before anyone becries "think of the children" my understanding is that there is an unwritten understanding that hold to seperate lifestyle nudists and public sex enthusiasts. Much like there was a don't ask don't tell understanding with homosexuals before it was fully acceptable. The parallels are there, how confident are you that the views you expressed above won't come to be viewed as oppressive and bigoted in the future?

There aren't enough nude beaches around. Sexual activity just threatens the existence of the beaches we already have by giving ammunition to those who think being naked in public is immoral and obscene.

Deepest Purple Not sure what the point of your post is, besides to possibly troll. Naturism is not about lewd sexual acts, and clothing optional beaches are there for people to enjoy the freedom of sunbathing & swimming as nature intended. Nude. Alas there is a certain element of society, almost always male, that equates naturism / nudity as an opportunity to engage in lewd sexual acts in public. You may talk of things possibly changing in the future, but you do not know 100% that in the future, sex in public will be acceptable & kegdl. Until then the current laws are the status quo. And that is that sex in public, is a punishable criminal offence. You can debate it all you want and call us bigoted until the cows come home . It will not change a thing. You and your ilk spoil it for peaceful beach goers. We just want to enjoy the fresh air, the sun, the sea, without having your cocks thrust in our faces or seeing you wanking in our direction. Some things unfortunately cannot be unseen.

Oh and by the way We don’t give a continental shit, if people in 20 years time will think we are bigoted. Sex in public, and on nude beaches (which are after all public beaches) is unlawful and totally unacceptable, as is masturbating and flashing your bits on the train. I went to Swanbourne with my ex lots of times. We had to buy a shelter tent because we were surrounded by guys wanking within minutes of lying on our towels. Then, when one guy actually tried to come into the tent we moved to the other end of the beach where the dunes start to even out. Its not the best area because it is on the borderline with the clothed beach. Its a pity people cant sunbathe in their natural state without others thinking its fair game to get their dicks out. I know other couples this has happened to. I dont think that kind of behaviour will ever be acceptable.

We are always heading to the nude beaches when we get the chance and summer it will be on a weekly basis. Have tried swan a few times but quite a ways to travel for us in Maldives so we will probably stick to Warnbro, we just stay away from the old perves that live in the dunes lol.

I have had the same experience. Lay down at the beach and then strangers parks themselves unusually close to me and play with themselves. These clowns think that everyone thinks the way they do. Fortunately they are a minority group. I have found they disappear pretty quickly when I tell the to go away. I am a big guy. I understand how intimidating it is for women. I am no prude. I love being naked at the beach. And I love sex. And I am bisexual. But legal nude beaches are only about being naked at the beach. I wonder if the guys that hang out at the beach for their jollies are the same guys that hang out around public toilets for the same.

and as Koko mentioned above I too have been approached by sleazy men trying to hit on me while on my own or with a female friend. However when in a larger group of friends, especially having men in the group, the creeps keep their distance. And "action" is a no no. The majority of people are there to enjoy the beach, sun and tan in peace.

As long as my peace and tranquilty arent interrupted. I'm not blind to the comings and goings of the dunes. Its not my interest and usually find a spot off the dunes just a tad past the older naturalists. There had been talk in local newspaper about the sexual activity at Warnbro beach last summer. Reminding the public the clothing optional beach Is just that and public sexual acts is a offence. Im not against anyone who choses that but I would be very disappointed to lose my local beach. So until laws change u have to keep that in mind. Play at own risk.
