RHP Chatrooms

A number of years ago I was a regular in the chatrooms. At that time there were dedicated 'State' rooms, as well t as the 'main' room, and on Friday nights and weekend nights there was also the Couples International room. Some time ago RHP decided to change the composition and amalgamate the rooms, and have since changed the format yet again. When the rooms were initially changed from the State rooms to the next version, I tried to chat on them, but was constantly thwarted even trying to get in. Once that was managed, when I wanted to check on a particular profile, I could call the profile up, but then could not get rid of it again, unless I exited out of the chatrooms altogether. I just wanted to find out from any current chatroom regulars what their experience is like now. Back in the earlier version, sometimes there would be up to 3 rooms on any one State, where people would be trying to constantly jump into the #1 room to get into the thick of things. Was exasperating, but it worked well, which is more than I could say about the later version. What is your opinion on the system now ?

It sucks. I like you, enjoyed them when they where set up as you first mentioned. Once they changed them it became hard work & i haven't been on them for a while. I do take the odd look to see if they have changed.

Even with the changed format i think numbers on the website have gone down which attributes to chat being so slow and few users in it. Chat still has it's occasional glitches though.

I don't now and, on the odd occasion when I do, I remember why I don't go back in there anymore. I thought it was just me and maybe I had to he retrained in how to use them but I can't figure out why they made the changes in the first place. As they say: If it's not broken, don't fix it.

I agree with you there. The old format was much better. It is frustrating not being able to close the profile you have viewed without exiting from the chatroom altogether. Very user unfriendly.

for all your contributions so far. As you mentioned Wicca, if it ain't broke... so many said the same at the time of the change, but to no avail. I would welcome any other opinions as to what others currently think of the chat system. Tall

The same thing used to happen to me (had to log out of room to close a profile). I sent in a complaint about it...I don not have an issue anymore. IT got onto it straight away. :) Ms Foxy

Can not click on the name for it to take you to a profile. I, copy and paste the profile name, log out of chat room, then do a search then log back into text chat. I find it is time consuming. Ms Foxy

Hi Tall yes that problem with profiles lingering after after opening can be fixed by fully expanding the window you use when on chat. Top right hand corner of the window is where you can find it. This allows you to close the profile without leaving the room. Yes I generally agree- the problem with the room atm is the lack of 'chat'. People say hi and goodbye and thats about it. I like it when there are people in there that chat, joke and share experiences. I still go in sometimes but engaging some conversation can be hard work. CT - Posted from rhpmobile

Are they chat rooms, or 'hit on rooms'? I wander in a couple of times a week, always up for a chat and a laugh and have had some great conversations in there. I do get weary of the requests to see my cam (don't have one as I am usually on a tablet), or requests for private chats from (usually) men who want me to provide sexy chat for their wanking. Don't get me wrong, the chat room is a good way of getting to know people, but as Crackatini points out, there are many who want to be entertained rather than joining in.

I can't speak for more recent times, but in the "good 'ol days", there was an actual element of just joining in the rooms for a chat and a bit of fun. A lot of it was just plain whimsical, and very rarely was there anyone around that actually was there for the purpose of straight out "hitting on". Anyone that persistently went off the rails was very quickly put in place by the other roomies. It was basically just 'good fun', with a few people, of both sexes, occasionally providing entertainment on their cams - otherwise just all being in friendly conversation with each other.
