I agree, "Anything" sounds non human, like a hole in a watermelon. ( As a former forumite told us he used once ). If I see "Anything", I bypass that profile. It sounds desperate. This post gave me a laugh, Annie doing stand up at the Mars Bar Waits for the inevitable "We are on a fuck site......."

I have, and have always have had Anything as my orientation. But I don't believe I am desperate, nor do I do have lecherous thoughts about watermelons. 😉 I chose it because it was the closest to pansexual when I set my profile up many moons ago. Although I tend to identify as bisexual to most I meet on this site, I am far closer to pansexual (the secret is out now 😁). So yes, an overhaul of the orientation terminology would be a great idea.

To be honest I’m not that big on the terminology used....I think it creates too much confusion for some as it’s all so very specific and people’s interpretations are far and wide and causes some angst about where they fit....

Whenever I receive a message from men with Anything as their orientation. I couldn't make out what it means and consequently have turned down men with this description. It could be my loss but I'd rather meet people on same or similar page as I am. I asked a man s while back with that on his description. His response didn't really enlighten me on where he stood. He gave me an impression that putting Anything would make him look open to any sexual experiences and widen his chances of hooking up. Ok with both reasons but not convinced it truly reflected who he was.

I honestly think it's self explanatory. All these millions of terms for individual sexuality lije sapiosexual pansexual then people mix them and there's so many others.. I've literally spent half an hour googling these terms to figure out Wtf they are and mean. And to use commonsense anything obviously doesn't refer to animals, that's just friggen childish and deliberately not using your brain to think that

So to give you all your commonsense back... it means happy to be straight or bi or gay .. whatever tickles a person's fancy they are happy to play that role I wouldn't judge as desperate because that's just arrogant. More open minded,, fluid in their roles. And no my orientation isn't anything .. So I'm not being defensive. These judgements have just gotten really childish arrogant and out of hand... And it sounds like half the people on the forums from reading them need to stop acting like that chill out be open minded like swingers usually are and just get out and fuck and have fun instead of belittling everyone with arrogance and a head up the ass attitude

I think you make a valid point. Pansexual could be on there. Other might also have an option to add your own description rather than trying to fit oneself into one of RHP's boxes. I really do love my beanbag just not in that way, unless I'm drunk. I think I'll stick to "Unsure"

Pansexual does.May all be fine for yourself as you fit neatly in a peg hole that society that has made for you. This post is to highlight some fine tuning may be required to bring a little more clarity into the descriptions that people relate to. No biggie, I'm certainly not getting out of shape out of it. Life entails a little more than not reading profiles and messaging away regardless of their preferences as you have admitted to on another topic. Life can be a little more involved than dropping the undies and fucking away. No one is belittling anyone or being arrogant about it. You are showing more arrogance around here than anyone with the gung ho lets fuck attitude. Great thing about the forum is that you get to see the personalities behind the profiles, to work out if they are worth meeting for some fun or if they highlight themselves as a buffoon

Annie... I do understand your questioning to "Anything". Maybe folks pick that choice coz yeah theyre open to all apart from illegal shit. That's how I see it anything. When I first joined RHP I had that because I was. I wanted to experiment and find what made my virgina quiver and senses explode. I didn't mean "Anything" literally as some suggest here. My reference to overthinking was.... everything gets so disected here. If you go to dinner and ask for the chefs recomendations, you wouldnt expect a pussy on a plate.... ❤❤😜

I get you.When I first joined I had anything as well. But I'm not attracted to Trans. And most others who have Anything are not interested in Trans either. So the choices define if you are open toStraight only (...yeah right....lol)experimental/curious - maybe with sameBi - both sexesGay - my own sex only So apart from opposite sex, both sexes and own sex, what's left? The trans groups Confusion. Like when I first joined I also had Breath Play. I would no have ticked it if it had been called erotic asphixiation........ Oh and pussy on a plate. The human species has many variants in its engagement for sexual appeal/attraction/relations toward others that trigger the receptors of arousal. It seems appropriate given that almost all of us have such complex algorithms constantly running within our sexual cortex.You say a million for just trans plus the straight, bi and gay which is 1,000,002 more than your rules of attraction/engagement. Peachy I was not aware of the meaning of Pansexual until the last few years, so I used to have nothing more to base my possible take of 'anything' on though I do have a broad enough mind to understand it has to be understood in a holistic way with the profile it is part of. I'd like to see more specific descriptions as you have suggested Annie. It's sexier and reeks of class rather than the main meaning of 'anything'... Like, I'll take anything. Humans are thinking feeling animals, that's what we do. Judgement is all over the place, and that's just as much from the people crying 'overthinking' to the people reading into what profiles are trying to say to see if it fits us before we contact them. Some of us do that, right? Read profiles? I'd like to see more accuracy in our choices and don't see the difficulty in adding as many as we need to understand if the person we're considering contacting is to our taste. It's time to move into the current times where choices are expanding including the right not to place 'sex' on the birth certificate. Peachy

Then I am drawn to the idea that distinctions are being changed in this age, like sex on the birth certificate. Saw a story about a guy (on Facebook) who wanted to be able to change his date of birth because he figured it changed his chances in life, as someone who is physically a lot younger than his actual age. Still think anything is better than 'Anything' if we're going to try to specify our different tastes. Peachy

I love sex but because of my stated choices and preferences, I have met some amazing men who I still keep in touch with and catch up with. I state straight but am open to experimentation. RHP has been around for a while, it has seemed to me that they've been a bit slow bringing the sexual definitions up to 'modern day' standards. 'Open Relationship' is a bit nebulous as a term too, in this age where polyamory is a concept widely understood and increasingly normalized, and many consider basic swinging as a form of open relationship. We too mistakenly ticked breath play when we were less 'educated'. And experimental too, we figured that was referring to your level of sexual exploration not your sexual orientation...
