When I think about robots that will soon be doing surgery and ones that look so real and ones that can immitate lifelike facial expressions, I get scared. What happens if they malfunction or become too smart (learning and accumulating knowledge)? They could annihilate the human species and take over the earth! Don't tell me I've been watching too many movies because I don't, but I do think too deeply and too much sometimes 😛 - Posted from rhpmobile

I watched sex robots on Netflix and I cant say I would want to to fucked by a male robot. I need warm skin, sexy kisses and conversation and those robots sure as hell cant give me that. Plus they were so ugly and scary looking lol. - Posted from rhpmobile

I'd take my obviously overly-disposable and wasted $10-20,000 and make a donation to a worthy charity. This one is really pushing the envelope of the ludicrous. Next question?

That is raw and in the moment and instinctual - not programmed. So I doubt it would work for me. However, all the men who don't what to chat, think they can just order a woman online to their specifications will love them I'm sure. I may have use for one if it can do housework:) XX

It's a definite no to me. It's not so much the sex, but the intimate interaction with a woman (or two) that does "it" for me. I do, however worry that the de-sensitisation of a lifelike not not alive sex toy may foster within someone.... to the point that the line between acceptable behaviour (attitudes of consent) are blurred. After all, behaviour and attitudes in here can be pretty foul, and the perpetrators are only viewing a photo and profile words.... not practicing them out on a lifelike doll. - Posted from rhpmobile

it'll happen - like vibrators now - some people will complain, some people won't... some people will eventually warm up to it, others will always insist on human. I think for MASS adoption, sex-bots in a humanoid form will need to be dual use (and not in the multiple-orifice sense). They're not so easy to hide in the bottom drawer - but who needs to hide a bot when they're also doing some other task. Though, what task besides being a fuck toy or human surrogate is good for a robot? It's a crap design for a vacuum bot, which can more adequately do the job in a Roomba shape. They're only a good form factor once you're using them for everything - and general interaction is a FUCKING hard problem to solve. To me, it is interesting because form a first world perpective, a general use humanoid robot comes way after specialised fit-for-purpose bots will have been in wide use, even general-but-limited bots like a Baxter. Even the tasks humanoid bots like NAO are being used in, as a scheduling nurse, aren't really best suited to being a humanoid, that's really more of a sales pitch for a the expensive shell when the computer inside could be in a cheap box requiring no servos, gyros.. Fully functional female genitalia isn't exactly that tricky to make when we're only talking about certain "usage" - it's probably more tricky for the materials engineer who has to get the skin feel and compliance just right. It's 2017 but we're a LONG way from Cherry2000 existing.

I do not know if I would want one. But the way technology is changing and with so many beautiful women out there there will be people wanting a look alike toy to fulfill their fantasies (I am writing this from a man's point of view). Combined with virtual reality you could live all your fantasies which will be only limited to your imagination. Of course the technology has to be advanced enough for the robot to behave and feel like humans. You could be sitting in your home, lets say in Lithgow and making love to your Miranda Kerr robot V 2.1 (with blond hair, V2.0 was brunette) in the virtual world with backdrop of tropical island. And since we are letting our imagination run wild and we are talking hypothetically, we could even have Heidi Klum watching you from the edge of the bed wearing red lingerie with a sexy laced robe. At this point you would regret now buying the package deal from the online store (as they were clearing Heidi Klum V 1.9 with Mirranda Kerr V2.0. Otherwise in your fantasy world she may not be sitting on the edge but would have joined you for a threesome. And for those who want the robot to do house chores most men may not mind either of them Miranda or Heidi vacuuming in some skinny outfit or wearing tight sport dress. Even better if you had an argument with your partner/wife for some reason you would look forward to be thrown out of the bedroom and made to sleep on the sofa. After the lights switched off you would sneek into the garage where Heidi may be plugged in and charging her battery. All of a sudden it does not seem to be a silly idea. Sorry ladies, reading through your comments it seems it will take it longer to convince you. And would rather wait for V 3.0 and beyond when the technology is more advanced and texture feels and warm like the skin. For now the Brad Pitt and George Clooney robot may have to live more in the lab then in someones home.

I'm quite involved in the robotics/ai field and as such keep a very close eye on what's evolving. An interesting lecture I was watching the other day, which was politically based, was regarding ai ethics pertaining to the ethics of the ai, not the use of. It pondered around at which point does the ai have rights and at which point do we have obligations to the ai with regards to respect and treatment of. Yes folks, this is the point we are at already. So for those thinking they will one day be able to pop down to the parlor, get your super model bot and treat her like a sex slave; I hate to burst your bubble, but that's not how it's going to play out lol. If you want to see other possible scenarios, you tube 'singularity' or 'super intelligence'

Each to their own. And there's a huge market for those who for whatever reason aren't into human contact. I personally love the warmth, smell and softness of a delicious body. Hearing and watching their breath, their moans, and knowing it's a primal response in reaction to what I'm doing. A robot for me couldn't replicate that. And hair stroking? Discount for buying two Summer? 😊

Snork-bot can do all the naughty things you may want.... PLUS the house work, plus personal grooming and hair stroking. It even has a waiter function to serve drinks ect. You can get one by ordering through "Snork-bot Incorporated". Just call Indy on Safari (Marketing Manager) and she will fix you up. X Obi1

Where is the negative here? Is warm, feels good, A.I & E.Q & it can get me off. Can it make me laugh? Sounds like the perfect scenario to me. No being controlled, no moods, no walking on eggshells, no jealousy, no bullshit. I could do that, for sure. - Posted from rhpmobile

I don't think even Westworld quality would entice me, Bladerunner quality maybe, but then would I even know she/he was a robot ?

Would the said robot have a sense of the ridiculous and/or a sense of humour....would Frank Zappa buy one? Methinks on those counts it's in the no go zone

Not so sure these new lifeforms will get the respect they deserve langton The new Westworld series and recent Ex Machina movie are great examples of where we are (eventually) heading. It will start out with the AI robots as slaves - mopping our floors and sucking our cocks. It will however progress towards an inevitable revolution - when the downtrodden machine men and women take their rightful place at the top of the food chain. Rather than be the first against the wall when the revolution comes, I for one will welcome our new robot overlords. Provided I'm appropriately used as a sex toy of course, I hate mopping floors.

Man is natural because he is finite, and yet is endowed with the power of reason that enables him to overcome it. Man's self-determination and causal powers as natural and rational being is a product of freedom rather than a product of nature. He is both social and unsocial, which produces in him constituitive antagonism, the one that gives him his freedom. Nature requires man to enter society, but man enters with a resistance that constantly threatens to break up the society. This social antagonism becomes the place where he develops his rational powers and where his freedom is born. Man feels his humanity only when he belongs. At the end all that he has is people that won't be with him forever and he lives his life in perpetual fantasy.(Ms)
