This year is going to be a lazy lunch, nothing to cook or prepare on the day. Only decided on two things so far piña colada ice cream, which we will make, and prawns. So it I guess it's looking like a tropical theme.

Lasagna with angus beef and red wine. At least that's what it says on the cardboard cover. ;-)

Best Christmas Recipe Ever: So easy. Step One: take a bottle of Gin, measure about a finger (two if you're greedy or an alcoholic in denial) into a glass. Step Two: Fill the remainder of the glass (almost to the top) with Tonic Water. Step Three: A quick taste to ensure the mix is right. Step Four: Top off with ice (alcoholics in denial may/will bypass this step as it ''waters it down too much''. Step Five: (optional) Drop a slice of lime (cut into quarters allows for maximum flavor dispersal) on top to finish. Oh, hang on - not quite finished... Step Six : Sip forth (alcoholics in denial may gulp), and step into Paradise. Merry Christmas to all.

Recipes here. Christmas Day is a bbq with my beautiful family, my granddaughter's first Christmas ☺ lots of laughs and love. Refuse to get caught up in all the fuss and stress. This year everyone has to dress as their favourite Disney character. Merry Christmas everyone 🎄 - Posted from rhpmobile

Not having to host Christmas this year. My new daughter in law has offered to host. Told me just to bring my potato bake and enjoy the day. Assures me everything else is organised. - Posted from rhpmobile

...do this dessert called Ambrosia for Christmas. It's semi whipped cream with marshmallows, yoghurt, chopped fruit and whatever else you might want to add. The marshmallows go all soft and gooey...and it's lush! 😍😍😍

Every year I cook a turkey usually with the most amazing home made stuffing, made from scratch (bread as opposed to prepackaged bread crumbs). I use wholemeal bread and fresh herbs mmm yum but I don't have a barbecue anymore to cook it in so might not worry this year. I love the salads most, spoilt for choice

For the 24th dinner, it will be fresh closed oysters, opened by myself with lemon or onion red vinegar sauce, some full grain roasted bread covered with salted butter or salmon, mashed hot olives, foie gras...and an OZ white Riesling. The entrée should be some salmon truit cooked with roasted almonds, parsley and fresh butter. The main meal will be a lamb leg with some garlic sauce and served with a very special gratin dauphinois or possibly some green big mussels ( if I can find some ) prepared by myself with mashed fish, garlic, parsley, breadcrumb filled inside each mussel and oven cooked. With mussels it would be some seafood creamy gratin. Then some delicious cheese and a fantastic French coffee and fruits cake covered with a light chocolate coating.Fish will sided with some medium dry Aussie white wine and/or some south of France rosé wine, the main meal and cheese with French Burgundy or Beaujolais. The cake will be served with Champagne. As we couldn't find any free couple who wants to share our meal at home, I'll prepare everything by myself and enjoy it with my beautiful wife with candles, flowers and very romantic music with a seductive and happy ending sex night.Merry Christmas to everyone.

Have the Gin ready (sure I use two fingers though but maybe I have skinny fingers ;-), also use the lime and have to have ice so maybe I'm safe. Also agree, need I-touch's Step 7. Cheers, cheers, cheers, (bugger, drinking too fast again)

I am going to patli's place for dinner. (now, just need to find a partner and get their address). Ahhh, maybe I'll climb down the chimney dressed as Santa, and say there will be no pressies unless I stay for dinner. Yea, that might work

Will you pleeeeaaase stop talking about having your way with a part Greek/part Aussie guy on the Christmas table, your threesome might turn into a moresom, mmm love a hot greek. Hang on, was that what you meant? Since i'm not cooking a turkey this year, I can bring my turkey baster 👍

Sorry Single_Guy4u but I think that the chimney will be to narrow. Anyway if you use that way you might burn your balls in the fire where I'll be cooking my meals. Maybe not the best taste to add to my mussels. AHAH! And you would be useless afterwards! Not a so good idea. Lol.

Quoting 'I_touch_myself2' Should we ask them if it's okay or just rock up? 🍸 We just rock up (as the menu sounds amazing), have to remember though not to use the chimney, sounds like it might severely affect my package. Speaking of which, aren't we still negotiating the size of that (seems to me it increases and decreases with no input or agreement from me, and it appears definitely no input going on)

Save me having to shave that day (bit of fire is better than waxing I heard) And maybe you could add blanched mountain oysters to the menu

I ordered pigeon in Hong Kong and they brought the whole pigeon, head, beak and all. It was sitting on the plate. I just put the head under one of the wings and started eating it from the other side. They do a lovely pigeon pie in Morocco.

To paraphrase Mrs.Beeton..a small pigeon is called a squab ,first pluck it then coat the cavity with thyme and butter..pan fry for a few minutes..do not over cook..serve with seasonal vegetables 😛xxFreya
