Sleeping disorders

January 18 2015

My ex girlfriend (still in contact) always has trouble sleeping, and has had this trouble throughout her life. Sometimes she will barely sleep one night, and sleep like a log the next. It's worse if she's not in her own bed, which was obviously a problem for us when we were together. However, despite many tests and checkups, there has never been any medically diagnosable problem. I think she has tried sleeping pills, but they have had side effects. I'm not sure if it can be put all down to lifestyle/work/stress either. I know as little as a 5min massage before bed will help, but I can't do that for her now. She tells me that she will also toss and turn without waking up; she finds out when all the covers are jumbled up. Has anyone else had similar issues, perhaps that they have been able to resolve by some other method? Alternative therapies perhaps?

A excellent naturopath may help. Clean up diet, identifying food intolerances etc... Does she sleep on her stomach? If yes that could be a sign of neck or back out of alignment. Has huge impact on sleep. - Posted from rhpmobile

at your service..Hey wasn't there a thread in here somewhere about the code women use? Look I'm no bona fide pussy-whisperer, in fact I'm terrible at picking up on hints AND rejetions, but I reckon if you, SirStir and I put our collective pussyw-hispering minds together we should be able to work out why she's calling you to tell you this. For starters, check her purse for a new Blockbusters membership card.

the naturopath doesn't shed any light... Try an iridologist....a friend of mine tried for about 12 months with western medicine to establish why she felt so drained and fatigued all the time... Went to an iridologist and found she had thyroid issues....she swallowed a whole heap of potions and elixirs and has never had an issue since... Might be worth a try 😊 - Posted from rhpmobile

When I get overought from stress or whatever bad sleep is the first sign that things need to change. Try and stay away from screens for 30min before bed, take a cup of tea and sit quietly somewhere and empty your head of the days shit. A little meditation is fine. The Tea, sleepy time teas work great for me but they must have hops in them, others are ok but for the knockout blow they must have hops. Many people say sex or masturbation help and they can if your not wound up already but often the activity just winds you up not down.Good luck.

Remove all electronics from the bedroom (TV, Foxtel units, digital set up boxes, lamps, digital clocks, plug in phones etc.), or at least turn them off at the wall. There's an electrical noise (for want of a better description) that happens when they're turned off at the device or simply on standby that's been known to interfere with being able to sleep.

Quoting 'gazpacho51' An overnight stay with the sleep doctor with fix her right up. Message me for my details? HugsDr G Had a look about it online, however she doesn't seem like the typical "at risk" group that this issue applies to. But, you never know. Will probably be in touch though.

I can go for a couple of days with no sleep or only a couple of hours and then need to sleep all day the next day..It played havoc with work, kids and life, I call it my bouts of insomnia. I now use a relaxation hypnosis recording on the nights I struggle and have found the issue has gone. If after 20 minutes of being in bed and a game of candy crush (yes this is my bed routine) I am not getting sleepy or am tossing or my brain running flat out I play the recording and next thing I know its morning. I hope she finds something that works as poor sleep impacts every part of your life.

Was listening to the ABC, there was a discussion about the new phones, they have a "blue light" screen and apparently it is the same or similar to the morning sun light, back in the day, people use to go to sleep shortly after dark and wake to the early morning "light", an instinct thing. So it was based on the kids not sleeping well and the plan was the phone makers were looking at changing the light spectrum that fair beams out of the things. Complete darkness, pitch black was said to be the best for sleep. So candy crush might be better played if you turn the phone off, ha ha, or at least dull the light of the screen to minimum brightness then turn it off. 20 mins then and a game of candy crush, what's that add up too, 3 hours? How come you are not masturbating yourself to sleep every night? sounds like a better candy crush. Talk about relaxing hypnosis. Mado Mado Tara xx
