Suit or high vis!?!?!?

December 29 2016

Ladies! Thought id get the general consesus from the girls on RHP. As i tradie whos also orked in a corporate buisness development role, i cant for the life of me figure out what you woman want! 😜 When i was in the corporate role which saw me in a suit every day... all the girls i spoke to said they loved a hot tradie in work gear more than a sharp man in a suit. And when i was/now i am a tradie the girls seem to drool over men in suits!? 😥 Whats your preference ladies? Keen to hear your opinions 😊 - Posted from rhpmobile

On the guy and the occasion. But I agree with PepperRose and Summer. Jeans and chucks here too. Suits are sexy on special occasions. Tradies can be sexy in their work gear but let's face it - I would want you to shower first 😉 Ultimately - clean and comfortable in your own skin - no crocs, or knee high socks here for me though! - Posted from rhpmobile

In the office every day I imagine they're surrounded by suits, you go outside the office in the city, suits, everywhere - the tradie is different. Elsewhere, where the tradie high-vis is the norm, Mr Sharp Suit is out of the ordinary and oh so desirable* It's like accents - an Aussie accent in Sydney, yeah who cares. Nice Aussie accent overseas, you're be batting them away. * standard disclaimer, may not apply to everyone in all circumstances, responses intended for entertainment only and do not constitute real legal, medical or financial advice. Seek a professional's advice before undertaking any outfit buying. Women will like men in all sorts of outfits - depending on personal taste. I like the hot tradie look, a man in a great suit or a man in uniform. Apart from the birthday suit comment, most of us enjoy seeing a man in clothes. The clothes maketh the man.... Remember that all of you men with dick pics as profile pics.. ;)

It's the body in the clothing that jumps out at me, catches my gaze. Love a guy in stretch type jeans, tight around his butt, from there, a tshirt or open buttoned shirt mmm yum. My dirty little mind works overtime. The high vis doesn't really do it for me, but I do like a guy who's good with his hands 😉

Here's just a few of my favourite things..... I don't mind a man in Hi-Vis, there's something about a tradie. Mmmmm a suit, KC looks gorgeous in tailored pants, collared shirt, suspenders/braces and tie. Then you have jeans and a nice T. Of course I also like a man in a little short skirt, crop top and CFM boots.💋

I live in Mackay ! ! ! I see hi vis on men everywhere and some guys even choose to wear this when going out. I miss suits but this is north Queensland I went on a date and the guy rocked up in a singlet cut off denim shorts bare foot stinking of really bad body odour - but this was a nice bar in town I bought him a beer quickly drank my wine thanked him for his time and effort and left him there Yes Mackay has been the worst dates I have ever had in my life - unfortunately I have a bag of horrendous stories like this - Posted from rhpmobile

Of a hypothetical question a friend of mine asks: who would win if war broke out in the nation's central business districts between hi vis wearers and people in suits (or lanyard wearers, as my friend puts it)? The suits would have the advantage of height in their office towers, and hi vis wearers are, of course, easy to spot. But then the hi vis side would have greater mobility in their white vans and would get access to all th loading zone parking. I'd be in Team Lanyard. I reckon we'd be pretty vulnerable to sabotage. All the hi vis would need to do is cut off the hot water to the office towers and we'd be forced downstairs and into the open to get our lattes where we could easily be picked off. - Posted from rhpmobile

Different to the norm. Which is why seeing a woman in hi-vis workwear is alluring, even though it isn't revealing at all or would otherwise be considered sexy.

I like it when a guy can rock any outfit and still feel comfortable. I like style. I like different. I like to change up my clothing. I love a guy in jeans, but I also like a guy in a suit (at least dress shirt and slacks). Most guys look good in a fitted suit. I love going to classy places when I can, but I also love the outdoors, on occasion. I'm not drawn to tradies and I used to work in corporate. Most of them are so rough, bogan and swear like a sailor. I almost get surprised when a tradie is kinda charming - few and far between. I don't like rough hands. What you're used to I guess... :P - Posted from rhpmobile

Either will do. The girls may think that the grass is greener on the other side if the fence but the women know that it's definitely confidence and respectful does it for us. Although watching all the fit tradies around, some tattooed like a bad boy, certainly gets my heart beating fast like a bee on a mission 🐝.

Yes... nice, strong arms! I don't like 'em too large. Vin Diesel's, Sylvester Stallone's... all way too large. Bradley Cooper's arms... Mmmm... Delish! I can melt in them! And Huge Jackman's arms... whoa... I've melted already! Cuff links... I love love love cuff links! They provide a touch of finesse that many suited men leave out of their style ensemble. And a good fountain pen that gets whipped out from seemingly nowhere to sign those all important contracts and such. Oh my gosh... makes me wish the hemline on my skirt would shorten instantly! Also makes me wish I had worn my corset and garter belt underneath my own office wear! Hehehe! It turns me on to see a man I normally see in corporate suits lounging around in stylish casual wear. Comfortable clothes do not need to be sloppy. I don't even want to see sloppy at home. Those hole-y tees washed out of shape that have turned from white to gray and have seen better glory days... triple yucks. I love a man who takes pride in his appearance and exerts a stringent quality control and quality assurance over his own wardrobe, even the one for relaxing in. I find that quality absolutely alluring! Hmm... why has there been no mention of the men in uniform? The Firemen, the Policemen, the Military men? And then there are the Bakers and Chefs. Hands-down the firemen win in this category! "Yes, you! Mr Fireman, could you please use your large, long and thick hose to cool me down because I'm overheating in your presence! My engine couldn't stop purring for you!"

I love lots of different looks on guys, depending on the guy and the occasion....tradie work gear, suits, jeans with a well fitted shirt or t-shirt, casual gear, a towel draped low on the hips, nothing at all.... I've also recently discovered that medical scrubs can be very hot...

Firies, police, and ambos are good. I live in a military town and their uniforms don't do much for me, unless the guy is pretty hot in which case he'd probably look good in anything.

Quoting 'PurePeony'And a good fountain pen that gets whipped out from seemingly nowhere to sign those all important contracts and such. ugh, fountain pens are The Worst, besides being the pretentious person's plaything, they're a nightmare to actually use. The nibs split, they leak, some days they flow too much, some days too little, they practically explode ink if you take them on a plane, and if you actually do use them - you need to carry blotting paper with you, you need to hope the paper is absorbent so the ink sits nicely, you need to hope the paper isn't too absorbent so it doesn't bleed like crazy, you need to use something underneath the page because the ink soaks through like a giant marker pen, you need to suppress your desire to throw the stupid thing away and use a better writing implement. Fountain pens are nice for sitting on a desk in the holder. They fall into the same category of "it's cool for those who find it different". (As a partial product of the British schooling system, I had to use fountain pens daily, they're awful)

Rocking a suit and tie at the beach... not so much... I have found I am more often than not attracted to "clean cut, freshly shaven men in suits with office hands". Doesn't mean I disregard tradies but have found my preference is a man in a suit. As far as I am aware, this is an open forum. Everyone has the right to comment. I don't see the need to disqualify anyone. Happy New Year everyone 😊

Where somebody asks a question and everybody else on the forum gets to answer. If the OP feels that the responses are getting off topic or not what they were really wanting to hear then I'd figure the OP would just jump in to steer it back in the intended direction. The rest of us don't own the thread and are just willing participants and offering what WE EACH feel is relevant and along the lines of the question proposed by the OP. In this instance I would assume if the Op didn't want to hear from blokes or anyone else, then he might politely suggest that he'd like to hear from more ladies rather than the gents. Not having a go at the OP mind you, if he is happy with the the course then he doesn't have to steer the ship, although being a public forum nobody has to abide by his requests but if he did jump in then maybe out of courtesy and respect the members would accept his suggested navigation and abide. If it isn't your thread then how about you just enjoy the responses and friendly banter offered by all. While I understand everyone's viewpoints don't always agree, if the only reason that someone comes here is to deliberately offend others then in my opinion you can politely show yourself the door. Welcome (back?), I'd be happy to see an apology, otherwise I'd be happy to see you go. Your short few words were absolutely atrocious in my opinion.

I think you'll find that most of us are happy to 'agree to disagree' unless someone is obviously/deliberately being offensive to others, as is the case with OralCpl's post - which is, as stated by many others, ridiculously narrow minded. Sorry - I find high-vis/tradie type looks a complete turn off. It's an instant "thanks but no thanks" for me. Doesn't have to be a suit but they always look attractive. If you've got the frame to carry it off. And in before anyone gets upset - I would say the same thing for women - certain fashion looks are more attractive to me but only if they have the body shape to carry it off. In other words, dress for what you have, not what you want. I love the suspender look but I have thunder thighs and I know it doesn't suit me - hence, I don't wear them.

Going to a shopping centre, during work hours on week days, wearing hi-vis work pants and work boots but just a normal, clean, somewhat new tshirt. I find this combination effective at gaining the attention of women (typically attached) up for casual sex. I discovered this wearing in a new set of boots one time. I have never found wearing a suit or full hi vis get up to be particularly effective or ineffective but its all about context.
