Tattoo's Hot or Not?

July 10 2010

Next week I am going to get my very first tattoo. Because I have a fear of needles and a low level of pain tolerance I have decided to start off with a small tester tattoo. This tattoo will be of 2 small wolf paw prints about the size of a 20 cent piece each in black ink. The tattoo will be going onto the left hand side of my body somewhere in the area between my hip, public line and stomach (The fleshy bit). If the pain doesn’t worry me (I am using numbing cream) a few months later I will get a larger tattoo of a tribal wolf howling in the same spot but on the right hand side of my body. Most friends and family I have told have been supportive of my decision but one male friend of mine went as far to say that a tattoo is degrading, ugly and I will look like a cheap slag if I do go through with getting my tattoo. He also said he would loose the respect he has for me. Which has me totally confused because in all the years I have known him he has never once said something so nasty! I like tattoos and I see them as art work, although I only like black ink tattoos, not coloured ones. So do you like tattoos? Do you think they are hot or do you think they look cheap? What are your thoughts on getting a tattoo? To the people that already have tattoo’s do they hurt to get them done? Was it worth getting your tattoo done? Taby xx

No, not at all..I had a tattoo for a few years and ended up having to go under the knife to get it removed (they didn't have lasers back in those days). Did it hurt..shit yes!!! Do I like tattoos on others? No..but that is just me. I don't think that they degrade people nor does it make them look cheap if they are nicely done or strategically placed. In the end Taby, it is your body and what you want to do with it, if you are happy with having those tatts put on your body...go for it! It doesn't matter what others think and to be honest I am really surprised that this so called friend of yours said those horrible things to you...Tattoos or not...you are still the same person. It's your life Taby...your body...do what makes YOU happy. Good luck hun xFunlovingx

Personally i think there are two distinct categories, tatoos as art and tatoos of symbol/meaning. I have two tats and i dont go about showing them off and only briefly discuss them if asked because they are part of me and are personal (not private but personal. Tats for art are just that body art. Which is equally valid. Work out which type yours is, and if you want it as part of you then get it done without hesitation. There is no need to justify them to anyone else once they are part of you in the same way you dont justify a freckle. Its a purley personal decision and if 'friends' dont respect that i would be questioning wether they are true friends. Peace, Jamie

Ultimately, it's your body and what you think is best for it. Personally, we don't care for tattoos, but can definitely see its appeal to others - and even we've seen some really incredible tattooes that we'd loved from an art perspective. Never had one done, but one of his ex-es had a rose done on her ankle - apparently, that didn't hurt terribly. Still, we wouldn't get one done.

Tastefull ones love em It's your body and i don't think a tattoo is going to change you. I have a couple but I agree as to where they are placed on the body.I got my first one when i was very young 18 of my first born sons name. I wanted it on my chest but when i went into the tattoo shop their were a lot of biker type guys in there, and I didn't want to take my top off. Back then eighties you didn't have privacy screens so in the end I made a quick decission to put in on my arm. Although a nice tatt I did spew later that i put it on my arm I don't regrete getting it done just where i put it. I recently last year after 22 years had it re-done and bought into the 21st century lol looks great. I don't think a tattoo is going to change the person you are. You have obviousley put a lot of thought into what you want and where you want it. So as funloving said it's you body and your decission, as for your friend if he was a true friend he wouldn't judge you like that. As for hurting yeah a little but not to much. jmo cheers pips

I'd like to start off by saying i totally agree with xFunlovingxI personally think tattoos r very hot on chicks, but when it comes down to the decision that you are trying to make its about what u like.Do u think it would look good on u? Ultimately its about ur happiness, not other ppls. And if getting it done is what u want then that is all that matters Vegidam xoxo

we love tattoos. I think the choice has to be well thought out, as some tattoos can look disasterous. Not into sleave tatts on guys or anything like that, but something artistic or meaningful looks awesome. I think its unfair for your friend to say he would lose respect for you. Its a personal choice. We both have a couple, it does hurt, but not that much... i think jess's on her lower back hurt more than mine did on my shoulder and chest, so it depends on the person. Good luck, and make sure you show us the finished result! :) Harley x

I think most tats look pretty awsome. I love the art expressed, and knowing that most people choose something that means something to them, or that they are passionate about. I too have struggled with the pain factor thought and I actually have a pretty good pain thresh-hold... but dont like needles so much. I only want to get something small and for me, not really for anyone else. I decided to donate blood every 12 weeks last year and the beginning of this year in preparation! Thought if I chickened out, atleast someone out there would benifit from my thought processes :) your so called friend is a dick! Tats dont change 'who' a person is! But as much as I like the lower back tats on some bodies, I know that they are recognized and labelled as a 'tramp stamp'. ... A tat doesnt make a person a tramp, nor does its location! If your friend means alot to you, you could always get a tat of a little dick and tell him that you have dedicated it to him! My advice would be "dont let others rule you body or your way of thinking, take control of what's yours and do with it what you want. ps... I do hope that you were ment to write "pubic" line and not your "public" line... cos if you have the public lined up... well that would give your 'friend' something to talk about, hey? Dont wait, just do it if it feels right, when I find where I put my bag of courage... I'll be joining you! best of luck.. -Maple-

I like looking at tattoos on other ppl, have thought about getting one for a long time myself (came close damn shop was closed) but have held back due to "is it the right one for me??" as once its on then thats it. The other option is getting a temp tattoo c how u feel about it & how other ppl react....... Mike

If you ask' you are sure to get many differnet oipinions. Your friend expressed what HE would like you to do... thats not what you would like.. At the end of the day ' its your body and YOU do what you want. Obviously you have given it alot of thought and starting under your hip and above your pubic area is the best way to go. No great problem because you get to expose it only to those you want to see... Personally' I been thinking about doing it in the exact same area with my birthsign in chinese. The only downside is it is there for life and what we do today is not nessasary what we would want tomorrow.. but you only live once and if you do nothing thats not living... Keep it simple to start' make sure it is not over bearing (too big ) and enjoy.. Mr JJ

Hey babe Tats are hot on either men or women just make sure they are not visible with clothes on cause they can look cheap. Keep them as a surprise for who you are undressing for. Same goes for piercings I have body piercings and they can be a real turn on.

As for pain you may or may not know you can get a num cream you put on one or two hrs before hand, it works a treat. As for your so called friend,, its great for him to say look i dont like them but saying it that way, mmm,, but his yor friend you need to work that one out. Dont remember the name of the cream but if you need it just mess us i will get of the better half for you. Enjoy J & D

Hi taby, i luv my tatt, i had an ex husband who wouldn't let me get any tatts cause he told me he didn't want a wife looking like a slut. Everyone has an opinion and preference on tatts, what is most important is what u want and what you are comfortable with. Have had no negative feedback on my tatt, am going to add to it because it was my first one i only got it about half size. You said you are going to use numbing cream, probably not a good idea as the ink may not take to your tatt properly, have a couple of painkillers before you go, you should be right, its more the shading that hurts than the outline.good luck and enjoy the experiencefluffy

Mrs. S. and I have been talking about getting tats for a while now and the advice that we have been given from everyone we have spoken too is make sure you want the tat first, go to someone that has a good name (so research around) and make sure that what you are getting means something to you. Most importantly, don't get a tat just for the sake of getting one or because it looks cool. Remember that what might be a fad now could take 20 or 30 years to become cool again, if ever. Hmmm?Mrs S. wants to get my name and her mother's name in white Arabic lettering on the inside of each wrist and I'm looking at a stylized Gothic "A" (it's the first initial of her name) with a rose wrapping around it (again, to do with her name) on my chest, over my heart. Yeah, yeah. Sounds corny, I know. But even after 12 years I'm still madly, deeply, head-over-heels falling in love with her every day. We're just trying to find someone who can do it properly as the Arabic is really hard to do right.Mr. S. xxx

I'm thinking about getting one. I was considering a traditional sun with the face in it. Next decision is where to put it. Was thinking about left arm near the shoulder so it can't be seen with a shirt on, but other spots are probably better. I like the idea that they are something you discover when you undress. Out of sight also works better for professionals as a lot of businesses/people are rather conservative. There is a girl I see down at the gym who has a band around the top of each of her legs. Its just a line that goes around and is about 1 or 2 inches thick. Makes you think she's wearing stockings. A couple of the trainers also have tats down their arms, which looks okay as long as the skin stays taut, but may not look so good in later years.

I got my first (and so far only tat) for my 30th birthday, something i always wanted to do and so did it for myself, it is on the small of my back (one of the most common spots for a woman) as for pain well i had had 2 kids by that stage one with no drugs so i guess my idea of pain my differ from others but to me not so bad, the buzzing of the machine gets as little wearing on your nerves after a while though lol.I have had comment from people who thing they are trashy and really my opinion is live and let live if someone is going to have a lesser opinion of me over that then frankly that is their issue not mine, in fact i have been told that i 'dont look like the kind of girl to have a tat' my question to that is what does a girl with a tat look like?It sounds to me like you have thought it out well and have planned so i think you have already made your mind up so go for it, but as previously advised make sure it has some reference to you personally and something that will be relevent in years to come because it is there to stay.to sum up, for me that is a yes i like them, no i don't think they hurt and no i don't think they are trashy (unless they are overdone) best of luck and keep us posted as to how you go

I think Tatoo's look extremely hot on young buff guys a tiny, sexy girls BUT you have to keep them forever. I always look at the ad for Teflon saucepans. I don't think they look all they great on old people. You wont be alone though. Most of the youth of today have at least one. I don't have any and will cry the day one of my children get one. I have also never met anyone with one that doesn't have some form of regret about them. All that said if you get one, Enjoy! Miss K

Was only having this convo the other day.... DO or DONT.. It comes down to personality.. I have met guys and girls with tats who I beleive should neva of got them, I can see straight thru ppl and vanity is a problem but still that is not the only reason why ppl get tatts.. But then I have met some ppl without tats and it looks like they are missing something, like a fella with round broad shoulders and bare skin and I would say gee u would look good with a tatt there mate.. I dont have tatts and dont want one.. because of the ppl who get them just cause they r drunk or look "cool" etc, means nearly everyone has a tatt these days, and keepin in touch with who I am, I just wanna be me.. Being ME means I like to be different, unique and not be a sheep.. because of how I was born I just dont wanna get a tatt cause every other fella has one... I have had remarks from both chics and blokes sayin when I undress WOW u dont have tatts.at the start I thought they were dissapointedbut have been convinced otherwise and get told how sexy it is to have the skin I was born with, in saying this but, I LOVE TATTS,lol.. HOME JOBS TATTS, PROFFESIONAL TATTS, The stories from fellas who have been inside, all of em.. Thats how I get my tatts fix without actually gettin one, hehe

I suggest you find an artist to design something unique for you. You can give them a reference pic, and they will design something special for you. And they will probably give you the best advise on the size too. It might be better to go a little bigger. The pain is temporary, the tattoo is permanent. Get what looks best. xo

The right tattoo on a female can make me take that 2nd, 3rd look and almost become mesmerized(excuse the spelling?) But more importantly a tattoo has to mean something to you. I dont agree with those people who go into a shop and just pick a design cause it looks cool. I have just the one and it took me almost 3months and a lot of sitting down with a artist friend of mine to come up with the final product....still not 100% happy

Seems to me Taby that if you are asking this question then you are not convinced yet. It is a very persoanl decision and don't let outsiders influence your thinking. My suggestion would be take a bit of time to make sure you absolutely want to go ahead with it, but then I just told you not to let outsiders influence you. Now I'm confused. Good luck with your choice.

I personally have quite a bit of work already done, and im not going to stop anytime soon. I think that tattoos on females are quite attractive provided they can be covered up if needed. For example, i can cover all my tattoos if needed and i dont think females should be any different. If you like the design, go for it. As you probably already know, they are permanent and people WILL JUDGE YOU for having tatts.

I have 3 tatts. 2 for my kids which were done days after they were born and 1 for myself. I still want more and only intend to get another 2. All my tatts are for personal reasons and are kept covered. I love tatts on women but only if they are tastefull and aren't too big ( that is only my opinion). I say go for it. After the 1st you will want more. It's addictive. My only advice is think very long and hard about it and go through different designs and different artists to get the one you want. Make sure you go to a artist that is well known and has a good rep and when you find them tell them everything you want and go into great detail so that there are no mistakes. Enjoy your 1st tatt

Thanks to everyone for your informational posts and comments. Just to let you all know I went to the Tattoo shop last night and got my first and most likely only tattoo! I used the numbing cream and I never felt the outline being done at all. But because the tattoo artist was running late by the time it got down to the last 5-10 min of colouring in the tattoo it hurt like hell! (I have bite marks all the way up my arm from where I bit myself) The tattoo artist told me that where I got my tattoo is one of the most painful places a female can get one due to the nerves and ovaries. I got the tattoo between my hip and belly button but lower down just before my panty line. I ended up deciding to get a single tattoo of a wolf paw print complete with little claw marks. It is just a bit bigger than the size of a 50 cent coin. I am very happy with what I chose as it has a personal meaning to me. Taby xx

Seen lots of folks with tatts that have had them 30-40 years - once the skin starts to loose its rigidity what once look good barely becomes recognizable. We see lots of younger women ask for laser treatment to have them removed, )especially if its the name of an ex )Think hard and serious -it may be sexy and appealing for a while, but your life can sometimes be a pretty long time.Anyway my 2 cents worth

would rather look the way we want to look now, in the primes of our lives, then winge and moan about how we will look when we are old and wrinkly, when we aren't going to like the way we look then regardless!Tattoo techniques and inks have come a LONG way in the last 20 years. Inks hold faster and crsip over longer periods. They dont need to be applied as deep, which means they dont spread. Fact is, you either want one, or you dont. The only people that judge others with tattoo's, are the MINORITY without tattoos. Neither side will ever change the view of the others.

Some people can carry them & some people can't so that's the gamble you take. A lot of hot chicks look good with large tatts but others just look rough. Not a fan of ankle tatts. The most important thing is only get a tatt of something that means something to you (except partners names or initials..that's a no no). Design something yourself or get someone to design something for you. Don't just go to that tattoo shop and pick something out of the book or get something cos it's a fad or cos your friend got it. Some of the silliest tatts around are dolphins, fairies, tribal bands & angel wings on backs..AARRGGHHH!!! These are all tatts that many people will probably regret down the line. Never tattoo your face..stupid !!!! You need to get something that reflects something your passionate about, something that means a lot to you...then you will never regret it.Just my opinions others may not agree? Happy inking

For those who are worried about the pain of a tattoo it's like a slight burning, scratching sensation - I think a brazilian hurts more but than it does come down to individual pain thresholds.I spent a year thinking about the tattoo I currently have, and I've spent the last 9 months thinking about my next one. Being 110% sure of what you want, doing your research on reputable tattoo artists and selecting an appropriate spot for your tattoo are the main things to consider when thinking about getting a tattoo. For example full-on side tattoos aren't recommended for young females who plan on having children in the future - waste of money, ink, skin and self-confidence when it becomes warped, twisted and stretched.Tattoos are a personal thing. My parents hate them yet I have one and my partner has a full sleeve (of amazing zombies btw) and if someone is going to pass judgement based on your personal aesthetics then they're probably not the kind of person you want have as a friend anyways. My ex hated my tattoo, but I think he was a bit of a purist in the sense that he liked the idea of my body being a clean, untouched canvas so to speak. Or perhaps Taby your friend just might not want you to do anything you'll regret later.

I have two tattoos, one on my breast which I will probably get removed as it has never been quite right, and one on my lower abdo which I love! They both hurt but not drastically so... like someone scratching you when you have really bad sunburn. I think on the whole tattoos are sexy... when done right. Some are big and gawdy and don't do the wearer any favours. I think the key with female tats is to keep them small simple and tasteful (in my opinion only) and in a location that can be covered up but is sexy to see a glimpse of. Yours sound gorgeous, good luck and pics please :) Oh and tell your friend to sod off, if he was a true friend he'd support your decision no matter his own views. Like I said IMO Mrs sassy

you should only get a tattoo because you want one not for others or because of what others think so many people these days get tattoos because its the trend and so often you hear of people saying i spend a whole hour picking out my tattoo because i wanted to make sure its what i really wanted, seriously how often do you make a life long decision in an hour and the pain is a part of getting a tattoo hence why they are called tough stickers haha, get a tattoo you want and like because you want it dont let others opinios sway your judgement

I,m a huge fan of tats !!!!! IT took me 5 years to decide what i wanted for my 1st tat. I've got 2 know, working on my design for the 3rd. the only advice i could give is,don't pick one off the wall for your 1st, don't get one which is a fad and def don't get one saying "I love so and so" in love heart.. PS they're addictive........

Tatts are not something that I would consider myself, mainly for the reason that I may not like it later on in life. However, the other week I saw a tatt on tv where the heart was done in normal ink and the big angel wings were done in a special ink that glows under black light and can't be seen otherwise. It looked amazing with the glowing wings. Now that may be something I would consider if I decided I wanted one. Not sure how common the special ink is though, in Australia. xx Miss Honeyxx

I have a tattoo on my lower back of tribal & its fairly big, of course your always gonna get ppl that say u look cheap and nasty and you will regret it when your older but I say tattoos are works of art and they often mean something to the person (dont get me wrong there are ppl who do get stupid and ridiculous amounts of tattoos also) so I think you should decide for urself if you rlly want it then get it ..it will just define u a little more and make u that much more interesting ;p hope that helps.. just be aware that green blue and yellow are the hardest colours to remove if you decide you do not like it (black is the easiest ;-) good luck! jessxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

Well when my dear mum first saw the outline of my phoenix sleave she held her nerve ,kept her poker face and then quietly proceeded to her room for a quick cry!Now dont get me wrong the last thing you want to do in life is upset little old mum but once i explained the thought, reasoning and meaning behind the design she slowly started to come around to the idea and i think these days she loves the idea of people expressing themselves through ways of art in the tattoo form!Tattoos arent for her but they are for the individual and they become part of who you are in a sense. Our individual style makes us unique and taby i hope you love it!!

However they all meen somthing to me, Several of mine are sayings I believe in such as 'money is the root of all evil' and 'what goes around comes around' as well as 'Bad Influence' on my slag tag. Tattoos are up to the individual but I must say I prefer them on females to males allthough I can't explain why

Whilst there are some undeniable health risks involved, albeit not life threatening...tastefully done they can be quite sensual. | That said, I have seen a few that at some point may not have been planned with much "future forward" thought? Imagine later in life as you walk down the corridor to the bathroom and one of the grandchildren is behind and asks innocently... | "Grandma...how did that butterfly die and why is that rose so wilted" | Think ink....and there are benefits in being able to change "the look".

Now I see a lady with tatt's - & done well - as well, fit intoher personality- they look awesum. They hav2 reflect you - as well, hav a personal message, because they will be there for life. Where you are getting them placed is great - serving a two fold thought, (1) placed discreetly (2) & a nice surprise package for your lucky prey.Your friends voice is only his shit, & that's all it is, if he clams up on your friendship - then, give him time to cumm to grips with it - or it could be your turning in your inner growth cocooning- which he may not be a part of your future growth plans.Good luck.LOL.3.8.10..." I personally think that the Southern Cross is the most trashy tattoo anyone can get. Even worse when there's something like "Aussie Pride" in the tat. My main beef is that Australia is not the only place in the world that can see the Southern Cross, it's also not the only country with it on the flag (New Zealand, Papua New Guinea, Samoa and Brazil)... That being said, I love tats I have one on my back and plan on getting a half sleeve some time in the near future. I love girls with sleeve tats, i think it's hot. Although I would never go near one because in my experience the majority of the are head cases.

I think tattoos are hot...though in saying that it depends on the girl and and the tatt... For me its about the meaning behind the tatt... I do not see any point in getting a tatt if it has no meaning, I suppose that comes with my cultural up bringing.... if its there for no real reason apart from it looks cool or because like a fashion item them I think that is kinda lame....

Just make sure you're in a place where you're certain of yourself, what you want, and what you stand for. It all seems very deep, but as you can see from this forum, tattoos can be a little divisive! And considering that you will be wearing your artwork for the rest of your life, it's not a bad time to have a little self-knowledge check; make sure you're the kind of person who'll still really enjoy it in ten years, twenty years, etc. Whenever I go through an important milestone in life that I've learned from and want to remind myself of, I get a tattoo. My last LTR was a part-Maori guy, and I really dug that approach to tattoos and took it on, too. It's my body and I'll mark it as I see fit. What my friends, family and, least of all, casual shags might think, is really not as important as how I feel about my choices. And those who think they're just for bikers or slags or whatever... good lord. What year is this? Your friend shouldn't be worried about losing respect for you. He should be worried about you losing respect for him!

apparently some people do such things. yeah wasn't the most brilliant idea to get a cobras head in the middle of my chest, and not many of mine mean anything, (some do). end of the day, each one was a story, at least of the day i got them. i'm so used to them i see old pictures and it's weird!!!!!!i have naked arms, then outlined, then grey, then coloured. just used to what i look like now and i love all my tattoos.

Quoting 'Nick_Wilde' Tattoos are for bikers, rockstars and butch dykes. You my dear don't look any of those. Ever hear the old phrase that the flesh is sacrosanct and should be comsetically multilated for fashion's sake? You can take off a bad bit of clothing and you dump a crappy boyfriend, you can even take a puppy to the pound but a tattoo is more than a life sentence, its forever and after. Oh youare soooo funny. I am neither a biker, a rockstar or a butch dyke. I have two tattoos. They are both in places that are generally not seen and are very personal and symbolic. The first was a gift from my daughter. Cosmetically mutilated? I do so hope you are not circumsized Mr Wilde as that is what I consider the unkindest cut of all to be. I also hope there are no pierced ears hidden there either. Fashionable? Maybe some are and that was certainly not even considered when I had my tattoos done. I personally do not even consider if they are hot or not. I just like to know the meaning behind each individuals choice of Tat. Hurt? Hell yes. But not as much as childbirth and not for long. The thing is, once the tattoo artist begins, there is really no turning back. You cannot stop half way through because it hurts. Just suck it up. Fionabee

I like tattoos... Tattoos-readily identify a person that could potentially endure any pain necessary to facillitate their transformation or transcendance-as it is often pain, great internal change or commitment to a cause that led to their decision of a tattoo. Unfortunately just because one has a tattoo or many does not necessarily qualify this person as capable of the alchemy and will required to achieve either of these goals as to be capable to achieve both transformation and transcendance is a skill few know of and even fewer can practice successfully. Alternatively-one could view tattoos as useful to easily identify one's slave? You don't remember their faces-after all they're slaves they are not to look at you and a slaves place is always below you-if trained properly it's unlikely you'll regularly if ever see their face...they have slave's work to do after all... I guess there's always branding but you have to ready the fire and then if you don't like the pleading, the smell, the screams and then they're quite sore and miffed at you for days...it's really not worth the effort... Perhaps that bbq in that small front yard is a very good idea...it has come to me that it could be put to very good use..day or night... I admit nothing...*smirk* NymphetamineDrm

Quoting 'xFunlovingx' No, not at all..I had a tattoo for a few years and ended up having to go under the knife to get it removed (they didn't have lasers back in those days).

I don't think that it is the image itself that speaks for the person that has it. I think it's more about whether you can live with your decisions to get them.   I have a few and not all of them are Artist quality (backyard tattoos), but I regret none of them.   If you are the kind of person that lives on what-if's and and maybes, don't get one, because you will always question it. But if you're the kind of person who can can carry a decision on your shoulders, whether it's good or bad, own it (and wear it) then you won't let a bad tat get to you anymore then a missed opportunity.   Just sayin'

Im always asked about tattoos, as I openly admit to being tattooed. Someone mentioned earlier on in this forum about tattoos being one of two things, art or meaningful, and I can agree more. I grew up in a fairly strict environment, with two of the golden rules being no tattoos and no motorcycles. Needless to say I have had both since I was 18. What I do want to point out is that you should think through what you are getting. If you look at my tattoos there is a clear development of style and association. I actually do regret my first tattoo. It still has meaning but I wish that I had put more thought into it, regarding placement and detail. The other I would say has already been mentioned but be careful of the placement of your tatts. I work in an area where tattoos and appearance are judged very highly ( which i disagree with completely) so all my work is easily coverable, but it shouldn't really change shape or distort. I have my ribs, back and both calves tattoo'd. I have lost just on 20kgs and none have distorted. As far as hot or not. I love tatts on both guys and girls, the amount of detail in a beautiful tattoo can rival that of the best traditional artists, and its on someone's skin. I find myself falling for tattoo'd women al the time.

I personally have none, but its not to say I havent thought about getting one, main thing is that you are 200% sure you want to look down at it in another 20 years and not regret getting it,its a personal choice and normally people get tattoos to remind them of a time or experience in their life. in terms of the paw print you should come up with a personalised design so it doesnt look generic and it has meaning to you.Second thing is do research on forums and find an artist that specialises in that kind of tattooing so you know you will get a good clean looking tattoo. I like tattoos ,if the art work is good and there are not too many( apart from when you are getting full sleeves) they look good, one or 2 small ones and maybe one big one, too many scattered simple ones do look a bit cheap, but that is also depending on the placement.Placing tattoos on the right point on your body can be key, you have to work with the curves of your body.tattoos on women can look really hot,as long as they are placed well. Your friend seems to have some kind of personal reason behind him saying that,i would dig alittle deeper to get to the root, might have been a reminder of an old partner or past experience, or who knows, maybe he likes you. Lastly everyone that I know that has tattoos, says they are highly addictive, so take your time and dont get one on a bender lol. hope it works out for you. :)
