Think you've answered why you're having this dilemma.... So I'd ask what is more important to you?? The compliments, your appearance, or how you feel?? When you nail that question....you'll see the path that you're asking us to show you.... - Posted from rhpmobile

have a beard, then you have two mums... two beardless mums... WTF op??I have had a beard since I left school... sometimes I shave it down to a number one stubble.. MOSTLY it is full long and glorious.IF I miss out on a fck because some woman doesn't like it.. then too bad.. that is HER loss..I have been arrested, lost jobs, missed out on sex, denied access to places and generally judged poorly all my bearded life..but.. the beard stays.. fck everyone who has a problem with that....in fact.... I have a hairy arse too...and they can kiss that..

Every attempt to make themselves more generically appealing cost a person a little bit of their soul. Just go with whatever makes you feel like you.

Like the post-week beard look. So it is long enough to be quite soft. Any shorter and i find it irritates my face. But it isn't a must have, or anything.

...shave it. I get a ''5:00 stubble about 2:00 in the afternoon and fuck me dead if I'm shaving twice one day. PS...ladies don't forget your legs can sometimes use a garden whipper snipper!

That rather than shave , I've had a beard for 46 years ( probably 45 1/2 as I have shaved it off occasionally) and I don't think its had any major affect on my sex life one way or another. Some women like and some don't and most are either attracted to me or repulsed by me for things other than the beard. Two advantages of having a beard...............1) even though I work mainly outside in the weather my facial skin under the beard is still relatively fresh and youthful2) after a good oral session the smell lingers delightfully keeping me smiling for longer

I always find topics like this rather strange. Why? Well, I presume you grew a beard and kept it for the past year because YOU prefer it that way. So why does it matter what others want? Are you going to change your preferences just to accommodate the preferences of people you don't know? Come onnnnnnn. You've made a choice. Own it. 😎 - Posted from rhpmobile

I used to really loathe them and would always say that there was nothing quite like a smooth face (.. Between my thighs), but a beard recently came home with us after a Christmas camping trip and I must confess, I've grown rather fond of it and requested it not be shaved anytime soon. Some men have a face for them, others less so. At least for now, the beard can stay. Flirty x

hate facial hair. Big turn off for me, only have one guy I've let through with facial hair, and although I continue to see him, I still hate it, I'd prefer it gone. But if you're happy with it, like everyone else has said, it's your choice, not up to anyone to say whether you should keep it or not

That is the question.... I always thought I would say clean shaven. Recently though I have been won over by men with soft short beards. It's part of their personality, their face, their look. The scent of me on their beard is quite intoxicating. I'm converted!! Who knew? Now I have more options!! Keep whatever makes you happy. In the end, you have to live with your face everyday in the mirror.... KH

To every situation. There's your side where you know how you feel about whether you like your facial hair or not, and then whether ladies find it a turn on or turn off on you. As far as the ladies - I'll admit I prefer a clean shaven face - only because I love kissing so much, and a passionate kissing session with a clean shaven man can still result in pash rash and deliciously swollen lips. Facial hair shortens the amount of time it takes for the slight burn to start and if it's prickly can be painful. But it's your body. It's important for us to style ourselves in how we feel most confident, comfortable and sexy. If I wear a dress I feel really self conscious in but think it's what men will like, then I'm not going to come across as sexy and fascinating to any man. The dress might catch their initial attention but that's it. If having a beard makes you the best version of yourself, then embrace it and wear it with pride. There are lots of women who find facial hair a turn on - on some guys I think it's hot!!!! It's the practical side for me. But for those of us who don't go wet for it, it still doesn't rule you out for quality women. They'll be attracted to you as an overall package facial hair or not. And usually won't let a beard deter them from someone they find more than just eye candy. - Posted from rhpmobile

Thanks everyone. I honestly love my beard, makes me look a bit rough and it actually feels pretty good. Honestly if no one likes it I couldn't care less, I'm a big boy. One thing you have to learn is you can't make everyone happy. So far I have nothing but positive responses from women so I'm happy

Either/or it's all good as long as it's well maintained. From what I can see on your profile it suits you too. As others have said it's the complete package and confidence in yourself that's attractive. If you like it, that's all that matters and you will find a woman that feels the same. - Posted from rhpmobile

I don't mind that week or so worth of stubble look, or even a goatee on a guy as long as it suits them, but not into full beards. As others have said though, it's your face so you do you.

have as little or as much hair as you like. Just be aware that some women's skin reacts badly to facial hair (really bad burn). OP...you have said yourself you look older with a beard which isnt too bad at your age, its even more aging as the man gets older, never understood that one.

I was blessed with luxurious beard for many years and never thought of changing. After the breakdown of my marriage I decided on a lifestyle makeover. I went to a barber, sat in the chair and let him do what he wanted. I now have a short, manicured beard that even ladies that weren't keen on beards find attractive. It takes some work, and I learnt use a cutthroat to achieve the look, but I haven't looked back. Maybe a similar compromise for yourself? Mr.G - Posted from rhpmobile

Some of these guys have a full on forest growing, it'd be like kissing a small marsupial 😀 That much facial hair is gross. Course, wiry, thick hair, hiding half the face, covering the mouth, explain how that is attractive. Blunt but given how hard it is for men to get replies from women here anyway, why add another reason to get rejected. I'm confused why men let themselves go. Too lazy to shave is the reason most grow a beard. Wonder what they'd think if we grew our body hair, all over, and grew a national forest, underarms, legs, pubic, full on bushy hairy all over, just because we like it 😉 my advice op would be to shave it off and win the chicks. I was trying to be nice in my other post, but it wasn't what I was really thinking. This is my honest opinion

I've had a beard longer than I haven't had one. I still get both compliments and complaints. But if they don't like it then it's their loss. I keep it relatively short and neat these days. But the responses have varied little. End of the day do what's right for you. No one is worth selling your soul for. NO ONE. - Posted from rhpmobile

My moustache is so droopy it could be a beard with the centre shaved off. Good compromise. I can thin it out if I absolutely have to or turn it up at the ends and look like Sergeant Pepper! Admittedly some women may find the Zappata look intimidating. But hey...that's me. I would never force my views on anyone else. Some do - some don't.

Its entirely up to you mate? Why should you feel the need to satisfy someone else with your appearance? Its your body if you feel comfortable and love having a beard why get rid of it? Ive had my beard for just over 1 year now and i still love it, at times its gets annoying but i know if i got rid of it I'd hate myself for doing it. Its a personal choice mate, you do what you want - Posted from rhpmobile

Clean shaven or very short groomed facial hair. Beards are tickly and I find they ruin a perfectly nice-looking face - and I don't care what anyone says about them being 'tickly in the right places', wirey long hair scratching against my skin in any place is not a sensation I enjoy. Also, I call BS on the whole 'if they don't like you with a beard, they won't like you without it.' Particularly if we're talking about RHP experiences - we're judging based purely on physical appearances here so a beard can be a deal breaker. I went out with one guy a couple times (not from RHP) but his beard was a deal breaker for me. Then he shaved it off after I was in relationship. Terrible timing LOL totally woulda gone there if he was beardless. Just further on that ridiculous theory, would you like vagina so much if it was an unkempt overgrown forest? That would also be a deal breaker for me. Miss Little xx

I shouldn't be shocked but I am.. Are we in high school? I'm not going to hook up with someone purely on looks. I must be the exception, I love hairy bodies on men and love 70s porn hairy women. Lol. I also love no hair and a smooth vjay jay! But all on a person who attracts me with chat and then the meeting. I also think a hairy mans face can be gentler on my skin than a clean shaved guy with quick growth. I get gravel rash always with a clean shaven stranger, but am I enjoying myself? Hell yes! I'm not thinking oh my, I need some aloe Vera, your hair is too spikey! Far out! If I'm thinking that, I shouldn't even be with that person as obviously there is no chemistry. If you're gunna shave your pubes, shave em bald as a badger, no stubble, and do the chest and everything else! Ladies, shave, wax or leave your mons natural, just not unkempt. I went most of my younger adult years shaven, the last few years I have kept it at a nice respectable length, not long. I made the choice after growing it out over a few Christmas holiday breaks, and people mentioned that it looked good on me, but I liked it which was the important part. I couldn't go back to clean shaven, I had a trimmer mishap a while back and it was the longest weeks of my life waiting for it to restore to its former glory. do what makes you happy! As many people will hate it as there are people who like it, so you have the last say! - Posted from rhpmobile

I tend to get it at Midday. My only advice is to do what you you feel comfortable with.As you say OP, you've received mixed responses... from my own experience there are similar amounts of women that like a smooth face as there are that like some form of stubble/beard. Then there's the one's that say "I don't usually go for guys with a beard... but". Personality will shine through the heaviest of beards, and believe that whatever style you choose to rock... there will be someone (possibly many someone's) that'll appreciate it. I tend to redneck it up and chafe/rash terribly if I try shaving smooth on consecutive days... as a tactile person I also like the feel of my own stubble/beard... I'm open to keeping it to stubble or growing it long for a FWB/partner but I'll always rock some form of facial growth... besides, I don't think that I'm that unattractive and I'm willing to wait for someone who agrees with me/let my personality be the deciding factor. Cheers and beards Rusty
