The only time (and I did not say "shut up') I even suggested we turn down the volume a bit was at a great hotel and all of sudden the phone rang...no way I was going to answer. But I tend to think that is you are making THAT much noise...who are you trying to convince that you are enjoying yourself? Him or you? I make a little noise, few moans and the odd whispered word here and there but certainly never enough to be told to shut up. I am usually so engrossed in what I am feeling that too much noise is a bit superfluous.

With another couple swapping, We asked when setting up a second date if she could not be so loud. They took exception and never spoke to us again. I mean to say she sounded like a porn movie on max volumne we were just not use to. I can't imagine wanting a girl to quiet down, unless it is an issue of parents/kids in the next room (like others have mentioned). But having said that, to tell someone to "Shup Up" or to say it is turning you off...well that is about as crazy as Charlie Sheen. How can evoking sounds of pleasure from another be a turn off? There is some confusion here about loud and What is said.
