Well we are planning to meet up with a regular +1, Columbian, relaxed, fun, great guy. Lots and lots of adult fun. He is coming over Saturday and will be heading off at midday on valentines day. Mrs S loves sleep overs and waking up to a hot breakfast. Flowers, champagne, lots of kissing, and making sure Mrs S has her every need attended too, her wishes are our commands. God its hard being married to a hot wife. Valentines day is her day.

As always spending this day by myself, almost had that special friend to spend the day with but he got cold feet. I feel that days like these are overrated it's a chance for card company's and florists to up their prices. We should cherish, appreciate and think of our special loved ones everyday not just that one day in a year. If given the opportunity again I would cherish and always take the time to let that special someone know that they are appreciated and loved, life is too short.

Last week I planned a Valentine for a woman I met recently. It was to be a traditional Valentine as a secret admirer in the way that Valentine's Day used to be for, a surprise expression of love or admiration for someone who didn't know that they were being admired from afar. But, when I went into the newsagents and looked through all of the Valentine's Day cards (there were a LOT), there were only two cards that weren't expressions of undying love between partners in relationships or marriage. If I'd given her any of those cards, then she could have legitimately considered me to be a disturbingly obsessive stalker! They were way over the top in expressing love or expressly stating love between partners in relationships or marriage. Only two cards didn't. One said on the cover "Lets have sex!", which probably would have been a really bad decision to use and would have made her feel just a little bit awkward. The other card was a fun card with some monkeys on it and a Tina Turner song that ended up being a hit with the woman I gave it to ... and the Koko Black chocolates helped. Only one card in the whole shop was anywhere near a traditional Valentine and the young girls behind the counter didn't know that Valentines Day was traditionally a day for single people, for secret admirers to express that admiration or love and affection for someone who may not know. Just a little sad about that

If you don't have a "valentines" moment / scenario at least every 2 or 3 days your relationship is more than likely doomed!! Ching ching $$$!

Quoting 'Dryphuz'Just wanted to point out that 'Saint' Valentines day is a celebration of the martyrdom of Saint Valentine and its the card companies that hijacked it and re purposed it as a day for couples and secret admirers. Yes, you are correct but you could go back even further to two different pagan rituals that the current, modern practice has been suggested to have been derived from. How far back shall we go? And, it has undergone several cultural modifications ever since the celebration of the martyrdom of Saint Valentine. The current modern practice seems to have two different options, a compulsory expression of undying love to one's wife/partner/girlfriend or lover, upon penalty of divorce/dumping/denial of sex for a month/screaming argument and the anonymous expression of love/admiration by one single person to another. The latter is the practice that I grew up to believe that Valentine's Day was all about. My secret Valentine this year was half genuine/half protest against what the day has become ... nothing more than a commercially motivated mass retail marketing and sales campaign aimed at married and non-married couples for nothing other than massive profit for the card companies.... and it was for some harmless fun

No plans but instead I choose to use it as a means to quell the negativity seeping intp these forums and offering a big cuddle and olive branch to any and all i have even in the slightest offended with my posts in the past, be it cause of differing views or just my need to stir the nest. Happy Valentines Day to all, especially Luck Dragon and Summer Solstice who I haven't been seeing eye to eye with lately. Hope the future brinmgs you all happiness and all the comforts you so desire...

This is my every wish, be it first star or blowing out candles on the birthday cake every year. Had plenty of them birthdays with hisself. :-D

When i was little it was always 'saint' valentine's day. Regardless of whether you observed the religious significance, at least the prosthetic was there to remind people. Honestly i probably only care because its been a lonely day for me all but 2 or 3 of them in my life. reminding myself and others about the martyrdom is a distraction. So i ended up doing nothing, feeling alone and watching porn. At least i always have porn...

Seeing the pain of a friend who has lost their loved partner. I miss the same person. So much. Their effect on my life and so many others. I weep..I can't help but imagine the pain for he or me should we ever lose each other forever. It's an everyday fear.

I spent the day having a great lunch with a loved up couple. so great to spend time with them on a beautiful Sunday, we sat out on the deck of the Cafe Bar, overlooking the river and beach just enjoying our tapas, cocktails, wine and beers. Lots of laughter and just good bonding. I love this couple and their story, and still evolving, is inspirational as they had to overcome so much from the get go. A great time to spend a non-Valentine Valentine day. Lol. A happy Valentines belated to all.

During lunch, my female friend went to the toilet and came back to the table with a stray old stud following her like a bitch on heat, totally hit by Cupid's arrow. He was a sweet dear old man keen to take my gorgeous friend to dinner despite the fact she was hugging her boyfriend. What a tenacious sweet man, he stood by our table totally in love with my friend.. Awkward... Lol. But happy the attendant came by to take him back to his nursing home. (kidding) all I can say is that my friend has 'IT'. and she has worked it and back on the way to toilets... wow!!! Hugged her tight at the end of the day, hoping some sexy dusts rubs my way and I may attract a hot stray or two on the way to the supermarket? Waiting, waiting ... anytime now........

She was more let down by the fact that she attracted the old stud (80yo)and none of the younger hunks about. So we can all take the positive or the negative from a situation. And he was still a good root.........before his heart gave way......

I thought my Valentine's Day was going to be humdrum and nothing extraordinary and it sure started out that way but... oh my gosh... the night ended with me grinning like a Cheshire cat who got the cum... er... oops! ... cream!
