the way RHP gave the summary sentence it made really really really wanna zig-a-zig-ah. I'm not a huge planner, I don't mind the mental exercise of planning something out - but sometimes planning out a problem makes me less likely to actually do what I planned, since mentally I've solved the problem so it isn't as interesting. Life wise, planning? god no. About the only thing I plan out and stick to is a frequent flyer points/status strategy to keep that rolling along.

I hate planning or sticking to routine, it bores me to tears and I get irritated, even if I hear my neighbour vacuuming on the same day every week There's more to the vacuuming story that I won't go into, childhood trauma from hearing the bloody thing too often, or seeing the curtains get pulled down to be washed way too often, who cares if the place gets a little bit dusty, relax, chill is what I used to think. The world won't come to an end if this routine isn't followed. So I get extremely irritated with people cleaning lol I'm a spur of the moment kind of person, ask my ex, we were always late because of me, and not for any other reason than that I wanted to be, I don't do anything according to how I'm expected to do it. I've self diagnosed myself with ADHD which explains my current self, and I knew my brain was doing weird things, but part of that is flying by the seat of my pants, and not stopping for fear I won't maintain the energy, so it has become an obsession, I power walk through the shopping centre, look like a complete fucking idiot, but I can't help it. I have routine like that, but it's healthy routine, kind of, with chocolate thrown in, but I follow the same routine every day to work towards exercise, zero routine for anything else in my life, and that's the way I like it So as far as long term goals, I can't get past one day at a time, that's all I can deal with, and sex is all I care about. The only long term goal I might have is to find someone hot with my sex drive to get more daily action, have my filthy way with, that's about it

That ran through my head too. Q, I'm largely a haphazard planner, and a procrastinator but things that are most important to me do get priority. Garden bulk is coming up, we must finish garden clean up by then lol. We try to have some structure. Peachy

Most of are lucky in this country to have our basic human needs met. As well as literal living needs, most people just want to be known and accepted if not loved exactly for who they are. As for other wants and desires, life seems to rarely give you what you want, or when you want. However... sometimes it does, if only by luck or good timing. When it does, you just have to appreciate it the best you can, while it lasts. At other times you have to learn to appreciate what you are given, even if it was unexpected and/or unplanned for, or even unthought of. I take that as one of the ultimate lessons of life. Things you can plan for are within your control... like taking a holiday for instance (if you have been able to save for it and managed to negotiate the time off work etc). If you want to go on holiday with at least one other person, that's basically out of your control, because it involves someone else's life. You just have to rely on your powers of persuasion :) Frankly, proverbial wisdom keeps suggesting that we are supposed to be complete and happy as single individuals, being able to live our lives independently and fully as such. Many people have reached that point or were always like that. But what I really want is ongoing company and romantic companionship - i.e. a mutually compatible, loving partner, as I always have wanted. I have few material wants, although designing and building my own house one day is on the cards, I won't see it as the end of the world if that didn't happen. Seeing more of the world is a want - but I will have to develop my income potential through better employment or further self-employment/funding to afford much of that. Every one of us is doing the best we can within our immediate means to reach whatever end it is we want - be it short, medium or long term. But I'm sure there are some just happy floating in the breeze...

If I don't have plans, I feel messy, disorganized, chaotic. Therefore I like to set goals, reach them, look forward to what ever it is. Sometimes, plans fall apart, shit just happens. That's ok too. As a shift worker I need to plan ahead, so I know what I am doing, get time off (if need be) or compromise. I need that structure for my body clock to adjust. I have found, that some people do not get that, nor understand. Sometimes I do things spare of the moment (go with flow), depending how I feel at that time. finding the right balance is the key. I made a huge decision about something a few months back, which would have changed my whole life. Due to circumstances (beyound control), I can not do it right now, but instead moved it forward till next year. It's frustrating, makes me feel caged, stuck and a little resentful (at times). I can only take one day at a time. But I have not given up, my plan is still there. It gives me Fuzzy Wuzzies, even thinking about it. It's going to happen, I know it will! just not now. Ms Foxy

a set planner. As with assignments in High School and at Uni (so, so long ago!), I leave everything to the last minute, then just frantically write myself a list of things I'll need to remember for whatever the trip/situation is.In every day life...I don't plan out my days/weeks/months...but my life is pretty routine, same schedule for training and work Monday to Friday. Weekends just are what they are..my kids are here or they're not, I may go out with friends, but often not. And depending on the weather, I may just take myself off to the Coast, or out for a ride.As for what I want..? I don't know. I'm ok with my life as it is, but I know I'd like someone in my life eventually. It's just finding that person that's elusively evading me for the moment!

I had my whole life planned out! At uni a few years ago, I mapped out my entire degree over a six year period - subjects and which semester I would do them in. But recent life changes brought it all undone. Now I'm just going with the flow and loving it. I have no idea, for the first time ever, what my future holds and I love it!

I've been described as chronically organised but I don't have a 10 year plan / life plan in general / things I want done by a certain age .

I'm not a planner anymore, unless it's a big holiday. I do lots of spur of the moment things in all parts of my life..... I was a planner but my ex got me to relax and go with the flow, I feel I enjoy life more now and I love that a friend will ring and say... Want to do .......? and I happily say yep jump in my car and off I go. - Posted from rhpmobile

I set goals and make most of them happen. Open to change but nothing's set in stone and I don't worry if some things don't eventuate. But not doing anything would bore me to death. I like to travel every year and that takes planning..

...by nature, plan things long term. But, to achieve my desires, when I know it's necessary, then for sure, I'll plan when I have to.I wouldn't be seeing the Gunners in February if I hadn't overcome that small obstacle one morning 2 weeks ago . I'm planning a well earned holiday right now....just pre-booking some accommodation for the moment...because if I don't do it now, I may not be able to stay as long as I'd like because beds will book out and I'll have to pay more, shortening my stay. I feel planning certainly has its place in my life, but I haven't planned my life. Other than I'm going to work...I don't know what's going to happen tomorrow or 5 years from now.

I plan too much. So much so I bought a strap on to peg a man I liked and well now he's out of the picture and I don't want this bloody strap on any more. Feel I could plan to send it to him he may like it more than me. My last present to him sure he would appreciate it more than me :) or free to a good home (never used ) .... Free willy, then I can move on an plan on many more adventures he he - Posted from rhpmobile
