What gave us away ?

A few weeks back we went to a straighty pub in Newtown (the Newtown, so not one of the more alternative venues). Anyways we got there relatively early-ish (about 8) and the music was top 40, mixed with some retro (the picture I'm trying to paint is it was as normal a night as normal gets in Newtown). We were dressed fairly casually, certainly not overdressed or anything like that and we had a booth where we were drinking which was near to the dance floor. As it was a booth and there was only 2 of us another guy, his gf and his sister asked if we minded them taking the rest of the booth, no dramas, hi how you going, yada yada. Within 10 mins the guy's sister asks straight out "are you swingers" ? We weren't being overly affectionate to eachother, weren't seeking others, weren't meeting another couple but wtf gave us away. Her response was "I can just tell". What are the tell tale signs that straighties could see that we do't even realise we do that made it so obvious ??

I would say that the sister being the out sider, maybe picked up on you both checking her brother and the girlfriend out, why ? because swingers always do ! lol Well that's what I have observed......yes so what happened ? Tam

1. "We were dressed fairly casually, certainly not overdressed or anything like that"- I've noticed swingers don't dress up (generally speaking) as well as single people out to impress. 2. "We weren't being overly affectionate to eachother" - but you were being affectionate? That would be enough, to atleast raise suspicion and I guess she wasn't afraid to ask. The Newtown hotel is pretty hip, a lot of young hipster types there out to impress.
