Womens Safety- an issue?

We often hear that women are (sensibly) shy of some of the things posted and asked here, becuase they fear for their safety,..well this may be a little off topic but there is a workshop for women on the 15th and 16th of October, "Women’s Personal Safety", and while it might not directly teach you about the perils of cinema sex, dogging, one woman GB’s, BnD play etc etc it may well help the ladies with their own confidence, not to mention provide them with a bunch of useful skills you need these days with the number of dickheads out there!! Any ladies or the female half of the couples here who want more info can get in touch and I will forward what i got... Flex

Well, it is definitely an issue and it is good to see another guy raise it. I know quite a bit about safety as a long term martial arts student. The sorts of fun talked about here can easily involve some sort of risk for a woman. A couple of suggestions- avoid drunk males esp in groups for this kinda thing if you want to try a one woman GB try to have a couple of guys you know and trust in there (boom boom) i know the goth and to a degree the s&m scene/s in brisbane and they are safer for gals than the local pub. Really. i suspect the local swingers scene is similar, the people on the scene are OK its others who are more likely to pose problems.
