This is definitely not Facebook and no, I don't send friend request to people I don't know. I at least have to chat for a while and get to know them a little. I had a friend request from a female in her 40s about 6 weeks ago. She had looked at my profile and I was on her 'favourites' list. Over two weeks I sent her two messages asking to chat so we could find out more about each other before accepting her friend request. Those messages were totally ignored. When I first checked her profile, she had no friends. Within days she had 10. When I last looked at her profile (recently), she still only had 10 friends and there was no indication she had logged on to RHP recently. I treated this friend request as a scam and I believe I may have been correct. Actually, the first indication it was a scam was when I saw I was on her favourites (hot) list .

Once I put myself on my own hot list to see how much I posted. I annoyed myself with my notifications so I had to get rid of me 😂 Actually it’s not called hot list now, I think it’s just favourites?? I don’t friend people I don’t have or have had, a connection with in some way. I don’t accept random ones. Don’t see the point? - Posted from rhpmobile

We're only new (guest) and still testing the waters on rhp before commiting to a payment but have had some bogus requests too. Unsure what people get out of fake profiles or if they're just here for a perv n wank. - Posted from rhpmobile

I don't add anyone I don't know on here as a friend or don't have a connection with... I don't get why randoms just send friends request when there has been no interraction at all... - Posted from rhpmobile

Even on Facebook I am not into ''collecting'' friends, don't accept any requests from people I don't know or met only the once etc. I don't know if people who try to ''friend'' any and everyone on here are simply trying to add extra validation to their account, make it look like they're in demand or something? It could also just be as simple as Facebook - that some people place enormous value on the number of friends they are listed as having. They could also just be pic hunting?

many friend requests these days , but got one a little while ago from a 'mature' aged lady who was a newbie. I didn't accept, and I won't, until I have actually had some decent conversaion time with someone. She didn't last long (a matter of days) - had from memory 3 other friends listed on her profile when she disappeared. Will usually only respond to friend requests to people that have lasted a while on here, and have had the opportunity to get to know them, and that I would probably would have as friends IRL. Tall

I don't accept any requests no matter how hot you are... Even if we did have a connection it doesn't automatically mean we're friends.. To get on my list , you really need to be special... I don't judge ppl by the amount of friends they allow.. Just seems quite fake to me.. It's not about numbers , it's about who you are.

People lurking behind the keyboard on RHP can be fake in so many ways ... Because 🤔 its a place to indulge into your fantasies & as we all know Fantasies are just that!! Occasionally one will be brought to reality & when that happens you have met the real deal!!! 🕺 Funniest are the ones that advertise, won't except friends request unless have met in person. Have sent F request & they except 😂

I thought it was just me. I joined two days ago and logged on for the first time today, and there I found I had 5 friend requests , 3 from people who haven't even sent me a flirt or message. How does that even work ? Why would you befriend someone you have had zero contact with ? And thankyou to the lovely guy ( it looks like a regular poster ?) who messaged me and pointed me towards these forums for some educational reading. That was very kind of you and I will get back to you. I'm waiting on my verification to go through because you cant reply to too many messages until you verify, I think Hi every body :-)

I’ve got a few friends from RHP on my Facebook friends list. They’re people I’ve met, (for the most part) know and trust. Keeping it real when your two worlds collide! Hugs G - Posted from rhpmobile

A lot of newbies think it's the way to contact. They are guests, can't message so they shoot off flirts and friend requests in the hope of gathering attention. There is a few long term members who wait for women to join and send off a friend request immediately. The new woman may think it must be ettiquet and accepts.

...and open to your own interpretation or thoughts on importance. It's an interesting way to follow up however superfluous to the need at times. LOL...certainly not FB as I have over 700 friends globally on my personal page and around 2500 on my commercial page! I guess that what happens when you market a unique product to a global community of very like minded people? The funny thing there is how every often people write asking for a ''free promotional sample''? Naaa...not going to happen! CM...off to thin down his friends and fiends list on FB!.

Meander and AnnieWhichWay What you say now makes a lot of sense. Maybe I should put that on my profile, no friend requests ? I'm still writing my profile, so I am open to any constructive comments Now to go back and combat the messages that consists of 4 words only , peoples mobile numbers, their KIK ID, unsolicited penis pics, hotel room numbers with length of stay at Crown Casino ( I will have every chance of hooking up with a total stranger during Spring Carnival here in Melbourne judging by all message stating so in my inbox) , endless inquiries of myself consisting of "Hi, how are you?" Do people not personalise their messages if they are genuinely interested. Am I naïve ? Pip

When I first joined I accepted them as I didn’t really know what they meant (still don’t really??). Now I feel bad if I don’t, so just accept. I don’t see how it hurts, I don’t add anyone to my personal fb unless I actually know them. - Posted from rhpmobile

I am fairly new here so I only have three friends . But I suppose its not the number of friends its how well you use them hey. I have no problem with people wanting to be friends, I suppose it makes it easier to communicate with them.

I had a friend request from a new user a couple of weeks ago. I didn't accept but noticed a lot of others did. A couple of days later the profile was gone. Another fake. I got hammered by scam profiles on a different site earlier this year. Got sick of it.

It's not that dissimilar to Fb here. I joke of it as being like an R-rated Fb....I've said that a few times....but that's exactly how it feels. They're both public forums with rules and not much presence in the real world, other than what you choose to make of it. Of course, Fb is a huge, smooth juggernaut that feeds info from heaps of preferences at once....with heaps of ways to interact. And the amount and type of friends you have on Fb determines your news feed. Not so important here at all. That's my thoughts on "friends" here. You don't need them to exist here.

haven't looked at friend requests in a long time, pages and pages of them, I just ignore them. Not currently wanting to display friends. I don't believe most friends on profiles are actually friends anyway. Getting friend requests doesn't bother me though since I probably wouldn't see them anyway. What does bother me is having kik ID thrown at me. Whatever happened to conversation? They claim to enjoy the social interaction, form a connection, then reply to a nice open message from me with kik. What's the rush?

I do not accept friend requests from random people The only friends I have on my profile are the guys I have met in person or have chatted to on here or other ways. I know they are real, have seen their real time pics or chatted to them pretty extensively and I don't send friend requests at all.

It is totally your decision if you want to accept friend requests. There are fakes on here. Be discerning though. Check profiles, read them, Look to see if the person has been validated, photos etc. I don't reply or even look at any profile that doesn't have a pic. I was on here with my partner and now for over six months as a single. I am only a guest and have managed to make friends through the forums, Sending flirts and always replying to messages whether I am interested or not. 'With patience I have also had hook-ups and met some great guys. Be patient it is well worth it.

We receive friend requests from people we have never chatted with which is quite annoying. We have even sent messages to them but get nothing back. Not sure what's going on there. Are they real or ate they just new to this?

Quoting 'MFW_23' Peachy, are you really that desperate to stir up shit that you need to pick on a comment from 7 months ago? Your anti-woman agenda is getting really old. Haha yeah, thanks, but I'm not taking any of those labels for taking the piss out of something that doesn't make sense. Because, you know, if there really is some special deal, I want in on it... :-Peachy

If that post by Pipsqueak is what you are basing your comments on, it doesn't say the dick pics are viewed on RHP. Pip may have also asked the sender what the pic is of (i.e. she cannot view it), and has it confirmed as a dick pic. She may also - rightly so in many instances (from personal experience) - assume that the pics she is given access to, but cannot view, are dick pics. There is a word for what you have done..... Assumption.

You had me reading that all wrong because of the heading is a weird way to address me and then signing off as me.. And thanks for your constant refrain that only recognises what you don't like me saying. But I vote we give people the benefit of the doubt... and I'll take one of those too! Peachy

Other than "dick pics", Pip's post is riddled in the use of generic terms such as "people" & "total strangers". You have leapt to conclusions..again....that the whole of Pip's post is about MEN. She could be talking about MEN, COUPLES AND WOMEN... but that conclusion doesn't support your current agenda. 😕 "What was the topic about again? Not putting down men, right? Peachy" That's your topic Peachy. And we are all reading your views on multiple forums... ad nauseam.

Quoting 'Meander'Pip Those messages come with the territory. Waiting for messages from men who have not only bothered to read your profile, but treat you with dignity and respect are worth the wait though in my own experience. Don't accept anything less then you deserve x And I'm not the only one who leapt to the assumption the post was about men? Peachy

Wow, that is very personal and way out of line. Also highly inappropriate given your concerns about me. and This is a lot of flack from a random comment questioning how it is so many guest, female profiles can see dick pics these days. Lol that it used to be me playing Devil's advocate. Sorry the humour fell flat re: the Dear Lord and errant comma. MFW, I don't have an anti-women agenda but do have an agenda against the extreme anti-men attitude on site where they are often treated shamefully in ways I wouldn't support women being treated either. I don't see how bringing men down raises women in any way. I did struggle to come straight back to this knowing it was highly likely anything I said was overridden in favour of running me down, but I'll stick with my sincere appreciation of how it is, so many female guests (supposedly new to the forum, including the one that popped in to take a pot shot at an long time, forum regular) can see dick pics. Peachy, thinks assertiveness and conflict resolution are not things practiced enough by people in the world, sue me
