original romance

all this talk of romance on here recently (and no, this is NOT another thread asking whether people should be looking for love here or not, thanks), and i've noticed quite a few profiles and messages that prominently feature rose petals, champagne, spa baths, candlelight, etc... for myself, i run screaming from these ones - they tell me that there's little originality, nor understanding or experience of what a real, live woman likes. not that i don't like these things - i'm a complete sucker for romance - but a pre-manufactured seduction scene ticking these boxes would, with the greatest respect, probably make me giggle and get a little scared :) kind of like that (non-rhp) date i went on once, when we went back to his place purportedly for a cup of tea, then he put on some 70s boom-chicka-wah porn music on the stereo and came back in brandishing a leopard print massage mitt. i giggled so hard, i actually fell off the couch. for those non-romantics out there, i think the sexual equivalent might be all those lovely fellas that talk about how much they looove to give, and to pleasure their partner orally - regardless of whether she actually likes to be pleasured that way or not... am i just mean? atypical? or am i just tipsy and not making any sense at all??

Im sure there's a topic in there somewhere?? Desert wine was it? I went down to the local warehouse and bought a case o f"Arrogant Frog" .. a sticky french white wine.... meah.. it's in one of those 350Ml bottles so I don't even bother pouring it into a glass anymore. :p Normally I'm allergic to wine you see.... but this one... seems it agrees with me. Trouble is.. it makes me a little horny. :p Do you get horny when you drink sticky wine? Maybe its the fact that it makes me horny... or maybe its the fact that it has the word "sticky" in it. Anyway, I suppose they make these bottles large enough to share.. and small enough to drink on your own if they don't get the hint. Bottoms up!HugsStalky

Bottoms up!HugsStalky i left an end-of-year awards event the other night with three bottles of sticky stuffed into my handbag... fast forward to the back of a cab swigging from them with a PR girl i'd managed to pick up somewhere along the way, putting my hand down her top. so yes, it does, apparently, get my motor running. thank heavens for sticky wine. and PR girls.

just looking like this may have turned into a confession thread ......... so many questions so many indescressions where would I start having said that WHAT is wrong with giving or getting a little romance ??? its good for the ego and good for the groin ............... Andy

now that i'm a little more sober, i think what i was trying to say was: why must romance be so very unoriginal? i find the whole red roses/champagne/candles schtick a little uninspiring, i guess - lack of originality equals a lack of thoughtfulness. since i have such wonderful casual friends here looking after my physical appetites, i've started to enter the dating scene again as well... a girl like me works best in love :) an incurable romantic. *rolls eyes at myself* however it's been a few years now, and it's a very scary scene indeed. while meeting people to enter into a casual benefits situation is sooo much honest-to-goodness fun, having silly naked chats and sending saucy texts, etc... meeting people in a romantic context is bloody fraught with drama, and particularly, what i mentioned above. the language of love and romance seems very dated and unable to be tailored to the individual. which, to me, makes it thoughtless. kind of meaningless. ticking the boxes, and impersonal. soooooooo... the question was: am i the only one who feels this way? am i asking too much to want suitors to think beyond flowers and chocolates? i don't really like chocolate all that much, anyhow!

I dread to think what that says about my mental/emotional state.Getting flowers just makes me think "what the fuck did you do?"Getting chocolates makes me think you don't know at all...I like quirky romance.I once had a guy friend get his mates to help him build a huge sand castle and then guard it while he picked me up.When I got there his mates scattered and he told me that he really like me and knew how much i loved destroying sand castles. I could believe that re had remembered just an off hand comment.So i got to kick down the sand castle and he got to kiss me. so cheesy!

I Am the Eternal Romantc.I adore all of this, I enjoy the aroma of red roses , scented candles flickering in the room ,setting the mood for our time pleasureable time ahead. .It's sensual, Intimate the sexual energies increase as we enjoy this pleasure ,soft music in the background a very good wine to share with a very naughty Young Guy who knows how to pleasure me and appreciate this moment .If he happens to think I'm amazing, he's so eager to enjoy me,looks so good then I say Bring it on in a very Big way ! I had a kind of romantic encounter tonight at the pub... my ears perked up when I overheard this boy telling his sister Jesus was a black dude (visions of Dogma). No shagging, a kiss and a number... it was my kind of romantic . That's the way I roll though... if someone wheeled out flowers and chocolates I'd swear they were taking the piss and likely give them a whack. Maybe my most romantic moment was when I became an ice cream unicorn and my ex licked the icecream off my forehead.

I have bad visions now MisValkyrie, Firstly Alvin Purple romanciing you , now Taxi Cabs confesssions !! Too true though corny romance really is for the 70's..I am sure most guys here dont pre plan too far ahead when we romance a lady..It is the biggest jinx to do so.. For Taipan its about letting the evening take its course..Take Sweetiepie 's laughter, MisValkyrie's bottle , Stalky's creative mind..umm and Taipans tongue off we go !! Did i just pre plan !!
