I’ve never heard of $ungar dating before.. To my understanding sugar dating is where you purchase items of vanity and luxury for the girl or help pay for something like tuition funds, debts etc whereas prostitution is paying money for what would most likely be a one off fuck, right? Been thinking about this as I have come across several profiles looking for that recently. I guess if I were a wealthy lad I would consider it as it does suit my personality, I love being generous and am a very giving individual. My thoughts lately were along the lines of I know this has existed forever (once they were called mistresses). I feel it has become something that many young women have found or discovered through the shitty reality shows and if these crass shows keep up there will be many more relationship types becoming more popular. As far as prostitution goes I feel that it is a judgement one can only pass when knowing the lass and her personality well enough.

If sugar dating is prostitution, then so are a great many situations where one member of the arrangement is financially or materially benifiting from the other, and sex occurs. Marriage for example. Sex after a date when you didn't pay for dinner as another. Being taken on a romantic weekend away... By those 3 examples alone I've been paying prostitutes for years. - Posted from rhpmobile

Dating a sex worker would be much cheaper! Sugar dating, a bit like the mistress label, guy pays for all the luxuries. Perhaps pays your rent, etc. Depends on your business arrangement. Usually the woman still has her own money, so it’s not a “job”

I know the traditional meaning of sugar dating is what you guys have mentioned above, when a guy pays for luxuries for someone he's seeing etc. I thought the newer meaning was when a guy and girl engage in mutually beneficial occasional 'couply' things such as movies, markets on a Sunday morning, Netflix n chill on a Saturday night, sex (of course!), but without actually being in a committed rship. but to say that sugar dating is the same as marriage, dating or a relationship is a ridiculous statement. It comes down to the context of the date and intent of the person. If someone is dating for financial gain then that is very different from someone who is dating because they have an interest in the actual person. Would they still be dateable or an object of interest? Probably not. If people want to do it it’s their choice but once it becomes a business agreement the lines become blurry.
