Embracing the Face Pic on RHP

July 14 2026

We finally uploaded a face pic on our RHP profile, and honestly, it’s made a positive difference. We’re not talking about having an entire album full of selfies…just one genuine photo that shows who we are. It helps put a face to the profile name and makes conversations feel a little more personal from the start. We completely understand why many people choose to remain faceless. Privacy is important, and everyone’s circumstances are different. But we found that having just one face pic helped build trust and made it easier for people to know who they were chatting with. For us, it wasn’t about showing everything…it was about showing enough to say, “This is us.” How does everyone else feel about it? Do you prefer profiles with at least one face pic, or do you think staying faceless is the better approach?

Much prefer a face pic. I wouldn't meet anyone who wouldn't show me a face pic. As for the " for some reason I can't upload pics" excuse 🙄

I absolutely prefer a face pic. I don’t respond if there’s no pic. For couples especially, I like to see pics of them together, as I’ve been caught out before.

I do like a face pic in a profile but can’t do it with our jobs. We are always happy to send one once we have been talking and I think people who are in sensitive industries understand. Would love to one day be in the face pic team but I do like having a job to pay for fun stuff, like entry to parties and venues. They are not cheap LOL Bri

Congrats that you’ve had a positive experience so far. In reality, trust comes from how people communicate and behave. Plenty of genuine people remain faceless until they’ve established rapport, and plenty of profiles with face photos aren’t trustworthy. I’d actually be more interested in hearing from women (solo or in couples). Has having a face pic ever led to being recognised or approached in everyday life? That’s probably a different risk consideration than it is for many men from a safety perspective. I can also see why it works for some profiles more than others. If you’re actively organising parties or events or looking for higher visibility, then having a face pic probably helps build familiarity. For people who are simply looking to meet discreetly, the privacy trade off may feel very different.

I’m a huge fan of the face pic. I have on my profile, no face pic = no reply. The amount of times I get a message that says they can’t send a pic until I reply is tedious. Surely if they have one in their private gallery if they don’t want to display in public they can grant access when they message. Or am I wrong?

We keep our face photos in our PG. There are far too many risks, and would be blackmailers out there. The type who then threaten to expose screenshots of one’s profile to friends / family / work , unless you agree to have sex with them. We talk from first hand experience.

I don’t mind profiles without face photos - it wouldn’t stop me from looking at their bio. I do ask for a face photo before we start chatting further though.

We live in a smaller regional town. (Brisbane for privacy) We got pictures taken at a meet n greet and yes we knew they would be posted....so just a little test... well yes we were recognised quite quickly, (ex employee)wouldn't say negative impact but definitely will not do it again. 🤔

I think it's great if people are in a situation where they can put a face pic on their profile, but also understand for many people that due to their careers or privacy reasons they aren't wanting to do that. As long as when you match with someone and start getting a good Vibe from each other, they are willing to share a face pic then I don't really see an issue either way. The only profiles I would never waste my time with are those that don't contain any photos at all.

Excellent! Welcome to the club. Eventually the lifestyle will be more normalised and no one will be nervous about showing themselves. On this topic, it's interesting the number of profiles that cover their face, but what they do show in their photos would make them instantly recognisable to people they know....😁😆

Just an interesting observation. Of the most recent 30 female profiles showing Active and over 45 in my state, 19 have either no photo or no face pic. As one who doesn’t have a public face pic ( for reasons) I understand those that won’t respond to a message from someone who doesn’t have a face pic. But I’m always of the hope that those who may be piqued by the message or profile might say Hey thx for the message…. can you send a face pic. And sure, if there’s no pics of any type anywhere and just Ask Me Ask Me Ask Me on the profile it deserves to be put in the trash.

Oh great topic! Cairns is a small place and respect of privacy isn’t always priority for some, therefore I choose to keep my face private. I do share and expect the same in return within the first few messages though. If a guy is too scared to share a face photo with me privately there’s usually a reason why, being his poor wife is totally unaware.

We have our faces covered in the profile but will straight away share face photos in chats. Living in a small town, we prefer to keep our intimate life personal from our family, friends and work lives especially.

We originally had our face photos on our public profile and it was fantastic. People that contacted us had already decided they liked the look of us, so it saved a whole step. Until we were outed by a creep in our industry. That was the end of that.
