I'm going to stay with friends (who are already fully furnished) until I can get another job....hopefully at Sunny Coast or in Bris! Eventually I'll need my own stuff again, and it's cheaper to store what I have, than to buy it all again later ;)

I was looking for something interesting and unusual to do so i read the last 60 pages of this thread. Some of it was indeed interesting, some of it was sad, and some of it made me laugh. But.... Only one particular subject actually made me go WTF !!! Stealthing Now, i consider myself quite worldly and experienced, however i must admit that i had never heard of it. For me it is not the fact that I find it completely immoral and a severe breach of trust to covertly remove a condom (as i imagine most people on this broadminded site would) - nor that it has yet to have a conclusive legal definition. The bit i just can’t get past is that it has a name at all. And such a suggestive one at that. I am undecided whether my shock means that i am turning into the obstinate old man i promised i never would or if this is evidence to back up the prophecy that our current civilization has peaked and we are on the path of debauched destruction like the Romans before us.

A plasma ball! Is that one of those charged glass orbs with lightning-like arcs in it when you touch it?Now that, is retro cool.. You know, I was surprised that I couldn't find any lighting or pop culture stores in Perth that would sell lava lamps in the store/over the counter. And they're not expensive lamps. But it was easy to find new ones online.

My son has still got his lava lamp we bought him when he was 8. We redecorated his room with paintings of robots - retro style - I painted, aka Lost in Space era. we had silver and blue theme all over. To complete the look, we gave him a lava lamp in blue and red, I think. He loved it. He took it with him when he moved out last year. One if the few he kept from the past.

I can understand why your son would want to take his lava lamp with him on the big move out.Mine arrived in the mail today, and it's silently doing its thing now in a blue corner of the living room within its blue light.It's so peaceful really, and always moving and changing.There's something therapeutic about them.

Sorry 😞😢 Had a tough few weeks, just wanted to cut myself off, still do a bit, toughest weeks of my life, challenging doesn't even begin to describe it. Definitely not personal, I almost removed myself from the site, but I don't want to do that. I'm seeing a glimmer of light at the end of the tunnel, and still smiling, but have also unfortunately had some people in RL show their true colors, very disappointing, fueled by judgement I feel, but when that spills over to hurt me financially, that sucks, I'll never look at them the same way again, they've lost my respect. Very sketchy explanation 😎 can't say too much on here you know. Through it all, my son and I have become so close, so how can it be a bad thing? We fight the fight together and we'll emerge victorious together. I'm so lucky. The bad people you meet in life just make you appreciate the good ones. To give you an insight into a day in the life of I_touch, one day last week, I received a letter advising my license had been suspended, for a speeding fine not paid from LAST YEAR ?? I got one letter/bill for the fine 2 weeks earlier, my mail is routinely stolen from my letter box, that letter was mouldy, I quite often get mail returned that people find in the gutter opposite side of the suburb, anyway, then get a letter saying my license had been suspended because I never responded to the notice of intent to suspend wtabsolutefk?? Panicked, grabbed the phone, managed to have my license reinstated but had already copped an extra $130 fine for not paying it, not my fault, my mail was stolen. I was told I should have received 5 letters in total before suspension, I received 2 only, and the first had been on an outing around the suburb before I got it 😠 Okay TMI but to complete the picture, strata threw me to the debt collectors because I was a few days late with a payment installment (judgements abound there, not that I care), but I found out about that the very same day I had my license suspended, hundreds of dollars in admin fees, pure greed and lack of empathy. I sent a nasty email saying I hope they're hungry one day 👎 There's more that I won't bore you with, but when you're down, horrible people seem to want to kick you when you're down. Let them try, nobody puts baby in a corner 😉

On a brighter note, I have encountered some truly amazing people who put your faith back in humanity, certainly helps sort the wheat from the chaff, and I've met someone I'm really into from RL 😊 He's very special. The kind of person I'd be happy to have in my life as a friend or lover, or both, just connected and love being in his company, he's the same with me I think. I feel no matter what happens, we'll always be friends, that's such a nice feeling. I've felt really vulnerable lately, he's strong and likes to protect me 😊 makes me feel safe, love hearing his voice, he's awesome, even better, he hates online social media, especially fkbook gotta love that, me too 😉

Strangest thing, got a flirt and after checking him out 😍 wanted to reply but when I properly viewed the flirt, it only gave me the option to reply with a message, usually it gives the option to reply with either flirt or message. He is a guest and so am I, and all other flirts are giving message or flirt reply options. Has anyone seen this? I haven't before. At various times, they sometimes give guests one free message a week, although I haven't had that for a while now, even if that was a free message, unusual to not see the reply flirt icon. I haven't yet clicked on the reply message icon, because if it is a free message, I have to consider who gets that message 😉 More important problems in the world 😀 but just curious

A few people are not having the best time right now. I had my lowest time a couple of years ago. I honestly couldnt see how things could possibly improve. Suddenly, I had no job, no money, had to try and get a new rental property with no income, and a teenage son to support. I was too proud to ask my parents for help so struggled and stressed for months. I luckily found a job but I was unhappy there....couldnt leave as I would have had nothing. I remember sitting in the house feeling physically sick and in a state of panic most evenings. Fast forward to now.... Im still not rich financially but I have great friends, my son is turning into a lovely young man and Ive met a good guy who makes me happy. So Im rich in other ways. At that time, though, I was in despair. I finally reached out to my family when I was at my worst. I would hate to go back there again, I think Im a pretty strong person but I was scared and desperate for a long time. Unfortunately it has made me a bit hard and defensive, a form of self protection I think. But things can indeed change for the better and I hope that anyone who is going through tough times has that turnaround real soon. Thanks to my friends for being there for me when Ive needed to talk xx

Has its ups and downs. I, thankfully haven't experienced the deep downs yet in life, but for all of us it could happen at any time really. We all have friends, and they might be found in the last place you look if you think you have no support. When you find them reach out. Nobody should be ashamed of where they are or how they got here, just know that you have someone there for you, in here, in RL, wherever they may be. Let them help you, spill your beans, use their shoulder because it is stronger than yours.... you don't owe them anything for that, except to be theirs or someone else's when they need you too. Stay strong when you can and cry when you need to. Life is like a box of chocolates after all. Reach out when you need it, someone will be there when you least expect it. Xx

Went to my first munch a few days ago (for those in the know). Talked to a woman not much older than myself, who is coming out of a 20 year relationship and with two adult kids. Just goes to show how life is much different for different people, if you are/were lucky enough to find someone that early in your life (although condolences in every case if it has not lasted). As I told her, it appears to be employed, you have to be a liar, willing to destroy people, in order to save face, protect their contract. I do wonder what other lies have been fed to the people in my building. Anyway, not to worry, I'll remain honest and unemployed no doubt lol "It would have been from our office number" lie number 3. All incoming calls are still on my phone, never received a single call 👎 When asked what number the calls were made from, response highlighting MY number, asked another 2 or 3 times, finally get this "You never answer your phone" Lie number 2, worse because lie number 2 created to validate first lie tried to call you 'numerous times" lie number 1 (actually there's 2 lies in there)

The media is clearly trying to enhance the shock value by delving into the swinging side of it. The report would lose absolutely nothing if it just said "at a adult dress up party", or something like that. Instead, they're going for clickbait. Not surprising why mainstream media is dying.

Reports say the police had been informed by security that it was a toy/costume prop pistol so things probably shouldn't have escalated the way it did On the other hand- toy or not ,you do not point a gun at police.They see a lot of crap every week and don't blame them at all for not taking chances with their own , the community's or their partners lives. I agree, I think there's more to the story than what the media is saying. Police do not just shot someone for the thrill of it. Something more has happened. My understanding is, they do give a verbal warning prior and do say put the item down. They have strict procedures they have to follow. So who really knows exactly what happened? Ms Foxy

,What a awful and scary situation .we were lucky to not be down where it all happened just cos our friends had gone home and we were not dancing or whatever with them at that exact time ,we had been down there 30 minutes earlier dancing ,but can only stay down there for so long before the mind boggles ,lol,so just before it happened we were actually dancing and having pole dancing fun on the main stage with the lady that got shot in the leg ,which we didn't know about till we saw the footage of her getting taking out on a stretcher ,poor women they could have at least blurred her face out ,not long before we left ,she left us and all the people having laughs,dancing and cheering on the pole to go downstairs ,bet she wishes she kept on doing hand stands now ,but for us the scariest thing was being totally unaware of gunshots and all the goings on ,due to the overly loud music ,really makes you think about it ,we had no idea ,same as everyone, as we were leaving out the front door we were greeted by an amazing amount of police just saying Dont stop just keep walking ,we thought oh god must have been a fight outside with a stabbing or something like that, wasn't until the morning when someone messaged and asked us if we were ok and gave us a link to what happened .OMFG,,still cannot believe they left everyone partying ,we did see 1 policewoman in the stairwell not allowing people down ,but took no notice of it cos it was home time for us anyway - Posted from rhpmobile

Extensive report by the herald sun who interviewed "Kim" as an eyewitness... She claimed the guy had argued with another woman earlier who then stormed off. The cops then get an anonymous phone call about a guy with a gun... If there's any truth to that, then she could be in a bit of trouble. On another topic though, massive poor form by channel 7 broadcasting photos, names, occupations and details of family of the two people shot. Urban dictionary also has 'bareback' with the same definition. Urban Dictionary was created to cover 'slang, cultural words or phrases, not typically found in standard dictionaries, but it is now used to define any word or phrase...' It's a fabulous tool for deciphering lingo, however, I'm not sure we should be using it as our guideline for original/correct spelling 😉

Is the first day of my 2wks notice. Unless something comes up in the next 2 weeks, I'll be jobless. And for the first time in my life I really don't care! Gave notice on Friday and had confirmation that the GM has wanted me gone for the past month since I got transferred. The English language is constantly evolving ..it is not a static language ..otherwise we would still be using thee and thou. Until Dr.Johnson completed his first lexicon in the 18th century spelling was mainly phonetic. I personally find people who criticise others for their spelling mistakes to be somewhat lacking in empathy for what we now understand is not laziness but often dyslexia which means the brain is wired differently.Also many people here have English as a second language . The forums or fora should be a place where people can freely express themselves ,not an examination on the correct use of English.Q

The mistake between bare and bear, identified by a few, in my opinion is done with humour. I don't believe any offence should have been taken nor do I believe anyone was lacking empathy. Even the defenders of the OP of that thread, responded to the OP by referencing the term 'bare' in its correct spelling and meaning in their post. Is a ninja nazi less offensive or empathetic, is my question? In this case this is a little too much of 'do as I say not as I do' ;) Mary xx

It's ridiculous how many topics on here are derailed and deleted because they turn into an exchange of insults between people who don't like each other (yes I have certainly been involved in that and am making a conscious effort to not do it anymore, given what a waste of time it is for both myself and for most of the other people reading).

Just called out one of their mates so obviously they need to back her up The thing with the forum is that people use it to suit their needs. so pointing out their spelling errors makes it ok if it is said in jest, in a light-hearted way, to soften the blow. Ok then? Surely the intent is still obvious? 😮 I think it seems it depends on makes the joke, if it's one of your mates, it's ok, it's funny and let it slide. But different rules for others. God forbid else the caravan of fear will start circling on the alleged offender. Personally I'm just over the hypocrisy, double standards and Stand over tactics so I don't care much at all now. Not into popularity stakes nor winning favour on people I don't care much for. They need to deal with their insecurities not the other posters down to make themselves look better. That's hilarious. I just find your take fascinating and a good spin in turning the tables around. So now I am (as others as well) a ninja Nazi just because I spelt it correctly and didn't make fun of the OP of his spelling mistake. And how nice of you just to hand-pick me among others in the thread to be called a grammar Nazi. The word 'bully ' comes to mind. 😱 I know you are protecting your mates but your argument is a bit daff if not self serving. 😊 Leave you to it to think of something more interesting to say. 😉

I didn't know that Urban Dictionary had definitions for names. Learned something new there. Naturally, I searched my own...my real name, slang and formal...and pretty chuffed! Happy Birthday again, Black Betty( that had a few interesting definitions...particularly the one for a footlong dildo ).Your Black Betty to me, because it's a contrast to the colour of your soul.
