Well here we are in Sunny Melbourne and she really put on the great weather this time. It was 14 degrees when we landed instead on 9 😂😂😂

As I was saying before being rudely interrupted.... I don’t enjoy moving. This little 32M2 studio apartment has one saving grace. It opens onto a 20sqm covered entertainment area and a 20sqm private garden. It’s really private, and a two minute walk from the beach. Quite comforting really. With the furniture I have here, I can actually seat 32 visitors, as long as people stay in their seats... there won’t be a problem. Obviously they won’t stay in their damn seats... they’ll be dancing on my 14 seater table while others are chained to their seats! I bought these seats because they’ve got shackles on the back of them to fit the pad locks. True story. Hugs Gaz

My besty is in town. Might have to have a few bevvies too. I’m pretty sure the Irish population in Wollongong is fairly minimal, far cry from the days of swooning over Irish accents at Coogee Bay Hotel but any excuse. I'm afraid that if I walked right back into work and come out tonight, this thread might mutate into vol 6... But it's Friday, I'm sooo exhausted fr work. Finished work at 4am, and back to to work at 8... Haven't my bosses heard we need beauty sleeps 😞 At least they feed us lunch n dinners. I feel like a caged chicken 🐔🐔🔫😫

😴. Sleep deprived and finished late. Just missed out on s&s pre drinks as late to get out. Social life this week is slow and just don't have much energy to meet anybody. Girlfriend's 40the tomorrow so look forward to that. Might meet a hot guy there.. Here's hoping.

The comments were in general. Dont personalise it. Many others like me just don't want to see same issues rehashed over and over again across multiple threads. We understand there is a lot of history between posters and are not across them most of the time. I take your experiences have not been good with a couple of posters and we can all read and see behaviours. We all have off days. Most come to the forum for a bit of fun and escape from our muggle life and demands of our work. Maybe people should just resolve their differences off line or learn to Ignore each other so our favourite threads don't keep deleted. We all just want to move on and discuss and read about other topics. No offence meant. Sometimes we all just need to walk away from the screen when things heat up and focus on real life issues.

Caught up with an old friend for dinner which was lovely. Taking the inland route from here which will be completely new scenery for me. Interesting moment of my drive was noticing a big cane toad statue as I drove through Sarina. Had never seen or heard of it before so thought it must be fairly new, but google informed me he has been around since the early 1980s and his name is Buffy

Totally agree with you. After a tough day at work, most of us just want to chill out and keep things light-hearted. Some people are just energy vampires. In the workplace, there's a particular lady who gives everyone a headache whenever she is around. 😛 She's high-strung, prone to panic attacks, talks incessantly, and anyone who has to work with her ends up totally drained by the end of the day. Unfortunately, that was me today and I had a whopper of a headache mid-day onwards because it's just so overwhelmingly stressful. 😩😧 I recall another workplace where there was another energy vampire too. I was so horribly drained after working with her, I was zombie-like on my journey home, and then crawled into bed without dinner because I was too exhausted to even think of food. I thought it was just me but everyone else who had to work with her feels the same way too. Often, it's not the work per se, but the challenging characters that make our working lives hell. 😛 Politics and double/triple crossing manoeuvres can also wear us out. I play dumb sometimes but it's still wearisome and dreadful. 😖 On a good note, I got a surprise at work today - yay! A pay rise! A small one but yay! 🎉🎊🥂🍾 One of the big guys also gave me a pat on the back, and two days ago, another colleague said I was very professional. 🤗 I feel so appreciated. 😁 After so many decades of shit, I think I've finally run out of sheer rotten luck! I welcome the change of tides! 🥂🍾

It sounds to me like you need to work on your energy rather than taking on other people's energy. That's your responsibility, not theirs. If you think it's bad for you, maybe you could do with looking at it from the other POV of the person who has to live with their mental health issues every day, and put up with people who then blame them for the way they feel. It sounds like you could do with finding some healthy ways to deal with Your issues. Go for it... You'll feel so much better not taking on other people's issues, and so will they! Peachy

It's her life. It's not like there is deliberate action on the part of the person suffering from anxiety, so there is no victim aside from the person being blamed for the way the other person feels. I've read up a lot on empaths and all sorts of things because I have such a huge curiousity and struggled to understand myself better. I have myself as a Highly Sensitive Person, and Touch too. I quick read via my information provider Google, and I see a mention of an energy vampire but also that the description of an empath could make them an energy vampire themselves. The page I found does mention the need for grounding ourselves and has a book for coping strategies called "The Empath's Survival Guide: Life Strategies for Sensitive People". It's written by Judith Orloff. The focus on negativity is creepy to me, but other pages do recognise that empaths need to work to avoid being an energy vampire themselves. YaY! There are frequent mentions of grounding yourself to be a beacon of calm and I love that. When I'm on the forum, I've been sitting with a large piece of rose quartz as suggested by a friend. I'm working on the hematite they also suggested, lol. Peachy, yeah, it sux alright. Thanks for the insight, I appreciate it a lot.

"I grew up in a colledge town, and one Halloween our doorbell rang and we poened the door expecting to see a trickortreater --- but what was in front of our open door --- was another door! Like, a full-on wooden door, that had a sign that said " Please Knock." So we did, and the door swung open to reveal a bunch of colledge dudes dressed as really old grandmothers, curlers in their hair, ect, who proceeded to coo over our "costumes" and tell us we were "such cute trick or treaters!" There are energy vampires, however they are unaware, these folk are generally quite needy, where as an empath is generally not. Its the noise that gets to me. Like when in a crowded shopping centre. One of the big things in mental health in my experience, is to take responsibility for our feelings. It makes sense to me that awareness of ourselves and care of self is the most important aspects from what I read on the empath articles today. I only wish you could see my face as I got through that last paragraph. And the relied when I got to the end! I've grabbed my hematite turtle now, such a cutie to hold in the hand. Peachy

Didn't sleep very well last night either, so I'm pretty wrecked now. Was planning on finishing the drive tomorrow but that ain't going to happen, will lose the $ for a night of accommodation but better that than falling asleep at the wheel and having to be scraped off the highway. Speaking of Jameson...before I left I realised I had a nearly full bottle bought ages ago, so of course I brought it with me. Should be drinking it tonight I know but bought a bottle of wine instead

Yep I am total support of people that looks after themselves and others by taking their time, managing their fatigue and pulling over earlier rather than it being too late... Kudos to miss dragon too that despite desiring her arrival to be on a certain day, has stopped for an extra night.... Survive the drive. And yes you, family and friends are all happy on arrived in one piece. Take the time to see this great country of ours, for all its worth while your out on the roads. Remember heavy vehicles have different braking distances to family size cars. Plus the heavy drivers, they keep the nation moving, furniture, food, cattle and mining equipment and fuel deliveries. Unsure if states and territories get sextoys and lingerie delivered in bulk by road. But a least we know there are some professional operators, that give thier all to ensure the load gets where it's intended.

It's blowing a hell of a wind gale here. currently 65kph winds. Lying in bed, Windows slightly ajar for fresh air, blinds shaking like mad. I'm debating whether to get up before the wind blows down my massive tree in my front yard. Yep. Up in a sec n making myself brekky of eggs Florentine and strong soy latte. Then lie in lounge to read a good book. Ahh missed lazy Sundays.
