I guess I don't have any crushes to speak of ( not that I'm letting on) but certainly quite a few I'd like to meet and kick back with over a beverage or two. Intimidation is a definite factor, the hardest thing for me is how I'm perceived by others so, mostly, I don't approach. Oh, and those other things called distance and timing... I had a read of his profile, nothing like a well written profile. It's something l definitely look at and it makes a big difference as to how l reply. My crush pops up in the forums every now and then, not often but comes across as respectful and well spoken which then made me have a squiz at his profile. Haha CT they're missing out. I did have quite a crush a few years ago, age, distance and her preferred marital status meant that nothing intimate was ever going to happen. I decided to message her to tell her I liked her style of posting and that I thought her observations were astute. It was a pleasant surprise to get a reply saying that she liked reading my posts, a correspondence on an infrequent and semi regular basis developed after that. There was no sexual tension between us because I think we both realised that was not on the agenda. Being male I would never have rejected any advances, I digress. There was a fair, or unfair bit of conflict on RHP at the time. She copped a lot of flack and bailed from RHP, sadly all her messages went west and I lost her e-mail address. I hope she's doing well and found a nice bloke.

There are a few in here that have rocket that boat of wishing to have fun with. For the most part I haven't made contact because due to work commitments i don't i have the time to be fitter like i used to be. Thus i'm carrying a couple of extra kilos as happens easily at this age and the people i like are slim/athletic and not wanting someone with an average/carrying a little extra padding body shape. I'm happy in my own skin and i know who i am, just a little bit self conscious and so therefore i don't message. I'm sure i'm not alone in this as we all have things in our life that shake us, even those with everything. Thank-you for your kind words Freaky and Chauser. I've learned as i have gotten older to be more accepting of my appearance and that of others. Probably why i have met with and made friends with people in here. Once they either speak with or meet me they realise the personable nature of me far out weighs the shallow body image issues we all have and has led to some very fun and enjoyable encounters. I find it difficult to crush on someone without having met them or having known them for some time. Not including celebrities (just two but that's more like fantasy crushes?), I've only had two real life crushes (not including MrT 😘) one in high school & one in uni. Never had the confidence to express my feelings. Ok I’ll answer this using Melbourne as my closest city that has the most eligible quantities.... There are approximately 4 million people in Melbourne.... Could be more.... Of that 4 million, let’s assume 25% of them are male....giving us approximately 1 million men.... Of THAT 1 million, let’s say 25% of them are single, eligible men such as myself....leaving us with 250,000 men. Of THAT 250,000 let’s say 10% are compatible with a crush I may have....leaving 25,000 men.... What you describe is a group meeting, that includes 'some' of the many forumites who intrigue me, that I'd love drop in on. I think it makes a lot of difference getting to know each other personally. It is something I have been thinking about recently that people get to know each other better when they've met and gotten that body language that is missing on here. Then there's the easier back and forth that can be so laborious when trying to put thoughts and feelings into words, a feat that can only be achieved at a much slower pace than our mind is capable of. A lot of the time, I find by the time I get to the point, I've forgotten what it was! Peachy, getting better, love that (mental blank, give me second, boom), magnesium. That was also an example of how my mind really works as you know, lol.
