We don't because the mess would be huge to clean up later and I wouldn't feel comfortable having sex while on my period. I would get really self conscious that I would be freaking my boyfriend out and he wouldn't be too keen on that idea either I'm sure. I hate getting it too and find it such a pain to have. I couldn't imagine what it would be like having sex while on it and cleaning everything up. I suppose for those who do if you do it in the shower it wouldn't be so bad but still I wouldn't do it.

The use of a diaphram is good for when you have your period....pity it takes away all sensation for the woman! Mrs P, I think you just use a sea sponge and 'put it up there'. You'd probably want to wet it and wring it out first....

A sterilised sea sponge, and you insert it inside you like a tampon. Personally I don't use the sponge, blood is easy enough to wash off, and I love having freshly washed sheets. My libido is through the roof in the week leading up to my period and the week during, so I'd definitely do it if I had a willing partner who wasn't squeamish.

As long as there is no pain in it for her... or more pain than she might like. I've never personally had a problem with it.Don't think I would go down on a girl during her period tho... You're not really suppose to digest blood.The towel trick works well as long as you don't change positions too often. I've found that most women are self-conscious about themselves during that time of the month. However, it's also when their sexual peak for the month. The plus side for us guys is its also the least likely the girl would get pregnant wearing a jimmy or not, and its like natural lube. To date, I've only done this once and all you really need is a large beach towel. For anything else it'll wash out.

With a former partner it was more than OK to engage during my period. There was no doubt that my arousal peaked at this time - leading up to it is completely out of control. Personally I think there is nothing wrong at all with having sex will the woman is having her period. Did you know that it has been suggested that girls that orgasm either thru sex or masturbation regularly while menstruating may actually be doing their bodies good. It has been shown in studies in the UK that this actually creates a protective effect against developing endometriosis. Endometriosis in Australia costs business alone $280 million dollars a year, this does not even take into account all the pain and suffering many women have to endure that develop endometriosis. I can't understand why the government doesn't teach facts like this to teenage girls in later years at high school.

I would have no problem making love to a lady during this part of the cycle as long as she was comfortable with it.Most of the ladies i've been with don't wont to do it purely because they feel it will "Gross out" the guy.If you explain that its that time and he his still happy to go ahead then why not. Done it plenty of times although my current partner won't have a bar of it. Towels, shower there are plenty of options, I don't know anything about the sponge option but I wouldn't expect a lady to do it if she wasn't comfortable or enjoying it.
