LD what a stunning creature they are. Recently saw amazing footage of a camouflage octopus (that is its name) that is truly freaky. I thought the cuttlefish was a master at camouflage but this octopus is the ultimate.

Went bush for an hour or so to clear my mind and to find some clarity. Hoping to come across a bearded dragon or snake, no such luck. Dozens of Blue Fairy-wrens (they are so sweet) and perhaps the largest echidna I have seen for some time, such gorgeous creatures. Such a pleasant experience.

I received an email from PayPal saying there was suspicious activity on my account and they locked it. The email included a direct link for confirming my identity and re-opening my account. The message was addressed to Dear Customer instead of my name, which was a dead give-away. I checked my account via my ap, and of course it was just fine. I'm not used to scam messages making it through my filters, so the scammers are getting smarter. Just a heads up.

It doesn't seem like it was that long ago that I could have a really good day/night out, wake up the next morning and still have a spring in my step. Now alcohol keeps me awake FFS. Btw it was a facebook post....and while I can handle that obviously they must be happy about what's put out there; I find it remarkably bizarre that such an intimate occasion is instigated on that medium....I feel it diminishes it's sacredness, and romance. Revenge Porn is totally disgusting and a very very sad state of affairs. When we were growing up we didn't have the rampant social media that is available today (you know, we actually went out and MET people, if you can believe it!!!), and I don't think we've passed that understanding to our kids. Once it's out there these days, it's out there forever. When I was at school my girlfriend, in a fit of pique because of some argument we'd had, decided to spread a love letter I'd written her around my senior year. I was mortified then, and at best it was probably seen by 30 or 40 people. Today, put it on facebook or any of the other social sites and it gets seen by hundreds, and constantly gets "renewed" as people start looking at them more and they start trending upwards. Revenge Porn though - the deliberate act of humiliating someone vengefully for whatever reason ... tragedy.

Need to buy a new BBQ, Current one has rusted out and does not get hot enough and was stewing steaks. I only live in an apartment on my own, so only really need 2-3 burners, but need a good one that gets hot enough to cook good steaks. Any recommendations (suspect may need to spend $1000-$2000). Any recommendations as BBQ season is here already.

But cooking with the lid down means the temperature remains constant which is much better for cooking. And they retain lots of flavour and are incredibly juicy. Just the way I like my meat

Never been a fan of gas for a bbq, call me pedantic but I like charcoal, to me thats bbq. I know gas is convenient blah blah but charcoal is what outdoor cooking is all about, there is no substitute.

I have a Baby-Q clone (the Coleman one that sold at Aldi for around $200) and they are absolutely brilliant - and I love steaks. Two burners is heaps for cooking for up to four people. All I do is start the burners, leave the lid down for a few minutes while it all heats up, turn off the burner under the side I'm not using and drop the burner under the grill right down and put the steak on. Leave it there for about 6 minutes (I buy reasonably thick Scotch Fillet), then flip it over and go for about another four. The result is a beautifully cooked not-quite-medium steak. If you're going to go Weber go the baby-Q, but get the one with the high top dome (also has the temperature gauge) because this is better for roasting, which I also do in mine, and it works beautifully. I have both gas and coal BBQ's, and use them both regularly. the coal ones are more hassle to start, get right, and clean, and the gas is much less hassle, but each has a use and give great output. So great that I'm about to go away for a week camping and I'm taking both with me - two BBQs to make Christmas lunch/dinner. Last word - the Z&B's are a BBQ's Galore exclusive brand, while the Webers have spare parts available from all over the place and have a wonderful reputation. Be wary of salesmen trying to up-sell you onto a much more expensive unit that you don't need - a Weber Q will give you LOADS for change from $1000, especially in the post-Christmas sales. Good luck!

Nothing bitter and twisted about me but I have little time for hypocrites, bullies and bullshit. I don't always get it right, but I'm no bystander. What makes a frock and make up a more legitimate mask than a grey ghost ?I think it's wonderful that you have found a place here, you made it, one of the regulars, why you now feel the need to demonise others escapes me.I would have thought someone from a persecuted minority would be a bit more open minded and open hearted but you seem intent on creating division and hurling insults at people you now consider lesser.Good luck with that.
