I can understand some of how you must have felt after sharing such personal and traumatic stories, only to have them so undervalued. Like the others have said you are and beautiful and kind part of the forums. We would love to still see such insightful and deep posts. But understand that with sharing comes risk. And you have a great deal of worth. There any many people that post on the forums, but some touch our hearts more than others. And you are one of those Mr Urn. I personally look forward to anything you're willing to contribute on here and hope that you realise how much your posts have meant to me personally xx

Because Mr. Urn needed to revisit times of his life at the worst, his post was a good well written account, lengthy because it needed to be and you can only feel emotions when reading stories, if it were written with emotion, a flow about it that tells (to me anyhow) from conscious, a truth, a dream, I'd bet 20c that Mr Urn would have needed to read over his post, if not he would not be sure about what he wrote, pictures to words, memories to feelings, emotions to flowing tears, hits the post your comment, it goes up on the wall, then up in smoke. It was a very important bit of writing, more important than anything else going on around it, it should still be on the wall Mado Mado Tara xx

Nasty person doesn't belong here!! - Posted from rhpmobile It is unfortunate that the Venting thread was closed. Pink's post was the very last one before it was closed.Perhaps she should copy paste it here? As far as contacting the Admin about the rogue male, yes most likely he would be closed down. But would reincarnate into another single male whose ID would be unknown. At least by the present situation, his ID is known and his moves identified somewhat and remained blocked on Pie. I think her main concern was how he was able to bypass Facebook security and ID her friends. I know he viewed me this week and I have seen the harassment and blackmail threats. A parasite.

than when someone says "No" to another's advances and that person hears that word "No" as some type of warped permission to go ahead to harass via any medium that suits them. Park the ego my friend because the law will come after you No means NO , yeah it does and I'm grateful that we do live in a country that will enforce these laws, yes the penalties are high and the law is actually quite relentless in pursuing these individuals The individuals inflated ego and view that this is nothing but a "lovers tiff" or a "sexual liaison" gone wrong cuts absolutely no ice with the law Now I don't know a lot about Facebook security, but I think the epic fail of the Census website last night, indicates strongly to everyone, that if you post (ANY INFORMATION) on the Net you are not safe. Your information is available everywhere and to everyone and is accessible What I do know about FB is that if you put your mobile number in as id or security when setting up your account ,it is through your phone number being on FB that anyone can locate you no matter how tight/high your security is I would strongly suggest closing down Pinks existing FB account and starting again if you wish but do not enter Pinks phone number when setting the account up, just skip this step On a personal level, Pink and Annie, should you require any help in a legal sense regarding this individual please do not hesitate to contact me, I would be happy to help you, you know what I mean. x NO MEANS NO, always irrespective of any given situation. heard that indeed the other day, on tv news running in the background while making dinner. despite my headache, this made me smile. thanks. The thing is that they were 'sampling' meth consumption only in the Western suburbs (cant remember if in Syd or melb) sewerage treatment plants. Not sure how the sewerage pipes are configured and whether there is only one large catchment area for the whole city. Regardless, they were targeting suburbs with high consumption of meth and other illicit drugs. How they will infer, correlate and manipulate this findings against known historical data would be interesting and how they will use this data would also be interesting. Seriously, if they want to check for drug usage in my neighborhood, I would gladly welcome them to my doorstep and poop into their container samples right there and then. No hazmat suit and all. Glad to be of service to my community.

Census privacy issues have been raised persistently for decades. You may be amused to learn the views expressed by one Prof Colin Howard noted in ALRC Report No 12 in 1979 (ISBN 0642034230). An excerpt of paragraph 35 of that report reads as follows: "The Constitution 35 Paragraph 12(c) Census and Statistics Act 1905, imposes no substantive limits on the questions which may be asked in a census. Provided the procedures are observed there is no statutory limit on the information which may be sought. In 1976 doubts were expressed concerning the validity of paragraph 12(c). Professor Cohn Howard suggested that startling consequences might follow if this paragraph were to he held a valid exercise of power: You could be fined, or indeed, if Parliament saw fit to make the law stricter, imprisoned for refusing to give full details of your sex life or how much toilet paper you use . The view taken by Professor Howard is that it is possible that the High Court might limit paragraph 51(xi), Constitution, to authorising collections for the purpose of ss. 24 and 105, Constitution, and matters ancillary thereto. Even if paragraph 51 (xi) were to be given a wider interpretation, the High Court might well limit it to collections of information relevant to the exercise of other heads of Commonwealth power..."

Quoting 'AnnieWhichway' After reading Ontology's last post......... Oh my lord....... c/- Oxford Dictionary of Philosophy (Third Edition) - my emphasis (underlined) re: George and Mary Anne... "oblique context See SINN/BEDEUTUNG, REFERENTIALLY OPAQUE/TRANSPARENT." Sinn/Bedeutung (German, sense/reference or meaning) In his famous paper 'Uber Sinn und Bedeutung' (On Sense and Reference', 1892), *Frege contrasted the sense (Sinn) of an expression with its reference (Bedeutung). Two expressions might have the same reference, but present it in different ways, and this mode of presentation is the sense of the expression. Thus 'George Eliot' and 'Mary Anne Evans' refer to the same person, but it might come as a surprise to someone to learn that the person he knows as one is the person he knows as the other. This, according to Frege, is because the terms are associated with different modes of presentation of the one person. It is the sense of expressions that determine the thought expressed by a sentence in which they occur, whilst reference determines its truth or falsity. However, there are sentences in which the mode of presentation or sense itself becomes part of the topic, in which case truth-value can shift through substitution of terms that nevertheless have the same reference. Such contexts are called oblique, or indirect, or intensional (see EXTENSION/INTENSION). Two conditions on the notion of sense are that if two expressions share the same reference; also senses are to be public and objective, as thoughts are for Frege. It has proven hard to identify a conception of sense that satisfies both these conditions. The use of a two-part semantic theory of this kind was attacked by *Russell in his paper 'On Denoting' (1905), but theories of meaning are commonly based upon some version of the distinction. See also EXTENSION/INTENSION." Oblique? Yep. "Clear as mud" in common parlance (though not so bad if you break it down and read over it a couple of times).

Ill vent to the sky. You just read, dont like , dont talk, don't reply, don't do a bloody thing, just read and let it dissipate. LIFE fucken sucks, the person that I love the most is dying and there is not a thing I can fucken do about it. It hurts like nothing felt have felt before, it sits in my mind all the bloody time. Every little good thing is dark, sunshine how nice, now pointless icky black ice , it can't be shared so what's it's stupid point. Stupid world keeps turning and I just want it to stop, need more time, need to find answers that I know don't exist. Then she smiles and says it will be all right. FUCKKKKKK No its not all fucken right!!! Its not fair, its not right, another moment gone. I can't let her see me cry, she can't know how much it hurts. Venting bloody pointless. People's mindless good intentions offer hollow hope, just stop, shut up I don't want to hear. Yes life goes on... so fucken what Give me an egg ill bring it to life and you can live on, so I can love, care for, and make the world nice, but it's too late... When at night I am cried out and almost to sleep, I hear myself and think how selfish. The truth a greedy selfish shit I am. Please please please don't go I love you so....

Years ago I lost 2 beautiful friends suddenly. There was no time to say goodbye. Treasure the time you have with this lady, laugh with her and cry with her. Thoughts with you xxx

Bloody hope. Hope is whittled away, but hope remains, hope is a reason to fight. While there is hope all we can do is be strong, I can only do my best to keep what hope remains alive. She must not give up, so I smile back, It will be alright :( because I so hope it will.... Thanks for the kind words everyone.

Quoting 'Koolgrey' How about that.. That's what I get for not watching any news when I work away. Wouldn't want to miss anything important.Good ol' RHP forums keeping me informed on national affairs again.. I didn't want to admit it but same with me I don't have tv and never listen to the news or the radio for that matter, I get music and load it to my phone, bluetooth that to my car system when I'm driving, and never check my letterbox because it only ever has bills in it so have effectively blocked out the troubles of the world haha If you happen to hear about the world coming to an end, could you please let me know? Might try for a big gangie that day

Quoting 'Blindman67' Venting bloody pointless. People's mindless good intentions offer hollow hope, just stop, shut up I don't want to hear. Yes life goes on... Contrary to your wishes, I'm going to stick my neck out... Some people have already offered their sympathies, and I would like to add to those sentiments. I'm quite certain you're having a tough time of things; I too have been through it. I lost my Mum to cancer several years ago. It was an utterly torrid time. By the time she passed, there still were things we left unsaid. (Without going into detail, it should suffice to say in some ways we had clashed, and I must admit I was something of a handful when I was a kid). Of course we loved one another, but even after so many years, we each had a hard time putting that to voice. At the time, it seemed to both of us some things didn't need to be said. A long held look through teary eyes seemed enough to say it all. I can tell you now, it actually was not enough at all. As you suggest in your post, there are some things people might say to you which sound terribly cliché and which you simply do not want to hear. That certainly was the case for me. However, worse still is the situation where people are aware of your situation, yet offer nothing whatsoever in support. As difficult as it may be for you to either hear, or to accept the empathy and/or sympathy someone offers your way, I would encourage you to please understand people usually are genuine in these forms of expression; particularly those with firsthand experience. For your sake, and for the sake your close friends and family, I hope you have some good support to draw on. It is entirely to be expected you'll run the full gamut of emotions. Try to remember all actions bring consequences. Don't go off the rails. Those dark clouds will dissipate and hopefully just the memories of happier times will remain.

The person it was about may have asked for it to be removed. It also contained a reference to self harm / suicide so the mods may have seen it as a possible trigger. I hope that jensman is ok and send him my best wishes.

my teenage son back from camp tonight after a few days away. Missing him heaps. Was going to finish early as excited to see him and spend time with him. My older son is a young adult and works and has an active social life, so dont get to see him often. then he said he wants to rest and then chill and have dinner with his mates in the city tonight. It seems they are all growing up fast and flying off the coop before I am ready to let go. I am both happy and sad at the same time. My babies ain't no babies no more. soon they won't want me around anymore. I better get used to this...

Thanks I am angry at the universe, and an understated angry that is. I vented my anger in a cathartic post from which was stripped many overly stated expletives ( fucken fucken fuck is not a sentence) . The reason I posted is because I needed to vent, to express without restraint or rule of common sense. The act of exposing my anger at that moment was a release, but it actually did not directly ease my pain. What has helped is everyone kindness, and as this is the only public forum I participate in that allows for overt emotional outbursts I am most grateful in all that everyone has said.. Thank you all very much.

it's nearly 2am, on Saturday (friday night...) and i'm still up waiting for a work conference call from OS. Where most people are asleep, i'm still up getting final work done with my Overseas counterparts... . How can they expect me to be civil at this time of the night? I hope the skype meeting wont take long, I am so tired and I had to cancel a fwb meet tonight to make this 'meeting'. <insert crying emoticon here>. Faaarkkkk.... won't be long now... 15 more mins, call and then in bed in 1 hour. Siggghhhh.... Nobody bloody call me, I'm not picking up.

Truly evil mean spirited bullies are rare, I am not sure I have ever meet one. I have encountered people that are bullies, but in all cases when you look under the skin there is an underlying cause. Bullies come from bullies, they are not taught by example, the are as much the victims of bullies as the people they bully. It is unfortunate but once the damage is done usually at a very young age, it is next to impossible to change. What they do is their normal. In their minds is it not as everyone behaves, in their minds is it not the victim that is at fault. This does not excuse them or give them right to be cruel, but I do not believe that they are maliciously evil, nor do I think that they understand the impact that they have. We all befriend those that are our peers, those similar to us, so bullies befriend similar, this does not leave much scope to learn, but rather a reinforcement of what is their normal. In the workplace, or institution for learning, and community sport, religion and the like, they have no place. Bullies are isolated. I personally have no time for them, in that way I aid the perpetuity of it, but I am not here to save the world. Nor will I allow myself to be a victim. They are the other side of the coin, as trapped and set in their ways as the bullies, and hoorah I must tiptoe. Each side as fragile as the other, the difference being only the direction of their blame and nature of their violence.
