Me thinks manners were not used in relation to the manners thread. There seemed nothing that would take the thread down when I commented (you know how you get that feeling that the thread will no longer be seen when you come across some comments) must have missed the one that took it down. ... when threads or posts get removed, unless it's been requested specifically by the OP. Close a thread to further comments by all means, but let what has already been said stand. In the case of the manners thread, I too didn't see anything that warranted it being removed - seen far worse actually. Pity that some posters are deliberately provocative, and are derisive of 'key board warriors' when that's exactly what they themselves are. Rant over, it's a beautiful day in Perth... hope it's gorgeous where everyone else is too :)

Freya, good to hear that it's superb today... if you could keep it that way for my visit in 4-5 weeks, that would be awesome! Annie & Lily - if you could arrange the same for when I'm in Melb the week before, it would be greatly appreciated :) And if there are any Tasmanian forumites reading this... well, just do your best. I know the weather over there can be tricky, but I have no doubt I'll have a wonderful time in the Apple Isle regardless of whether it's sunshine, rain or snow. Or all three lol ☀️☔️❄️

Have commented before on people using their LinkedIn pics as profile pics here, as a simple Google image search can tell other members where you live, work, your full name, etc. Lately I've been contacted by some men though who used LinkedIn pics from men in other states or even countries. I think it might be worth to search your own professional pics now and then to make sure no one else is using them.

after a wonderful eventful weekend at Perth, leaving me full of great memories, getting back to work and routine in Melb just is not the same... just was such a great place to be at the right time and place and people. Now, reality hits... It just says so much about how successful was the whole weekend was from Friday Night drinks at the Kings Park rotunda to the sunday bbq lunch... with the company of all these Perth people.. Highly recommend to all people to make the trek to Perth for the meet and greet. And all the sexy men and gorgeous women

FWIW, the scam as I understand it is mostly around creating a profile, doing something to cause it's reputation to rise (which is usually something that involves lots of "Likes"). Then when the account has good standing, it gets renamed and the reputation it inherits is burned off on something less savoury. (Click here and enter your email to win a prize -- from someone who has millions of likes... how bad could it be right?) So while you may think it's just emotional blackmail to make you click, it is in fact quite a bit more sinister in fact and you should UNDER NO CIRCUMSTANCES participate. Sadly this is often also true of survey/questionaire things that circulate. Saw one that was meant to be a test to see if you were mensa material... I can only suggest that if they are basing their entry on those questions, they've let their standards slip! Here endeth the public service broadcast. E.

A lot of marketing companies are-: Advertising prize vouchers if you partake in a quick survey. Stated prize will consist of a well known voucher from a reputable retailer. You will be taken through a series of questions to ask if you use certain products. Even if you click no, your contact details are forwarded to the supplier for an endless barrage of marketing phone calls or emails. You can tell em to fuck off as mucb as you like they will keep coming. And strangely, when you get to the page where you finalise getting your voucher, it locks up. Lol. One action is then required. BLOCK, BLOCK, BLOCK

Why do I have so many ideas in my head yet can't get any out and actioned? Why do I sometimes have the urge to do naughty things, yet the next day, I tell myself off for thinking those things? I've been back on site this week (and therefore back to 4am starts), so I was really looking forward to sleeping in this morning. No chance.
