A long time ago when to the dentist, he sat down to start work on me, I grabbed him by the balls & said, "now we're not going to hurt each other, are we"? Lol. I now go every 6mths, a check up, clean and perhaps a filling. He then says, "Nurse, take this gentleman out to reception & have his wallet drained". Lol. Paul.

I haven't flown in 30yrs, I have a mates 50th in Qld in October, am presently perfecting a cocktail of Alcohol, Avil (sea sickness tablets) & a herbal substance to get myself on 2 flights. Yes it is a possibility I suppose. I think it is because I'm not in charge of what is happening, was always a nervous passenger in a car, the only 1 I really trusted was my Son, I taught him how to drive when he was 12, he listened intently to everything I said and did it. A mate of mine flew to Bathurst yrs ago in a 6 seater, coming home there was delay taking off, the pilot turned off the plane & it wouldn't start again, ground crew turned up & jump started it, I would have got off by then. Trailer for the Blair Witch Project sequel looks full of gimmicky Hollywood schlock. Part of the appeal of the first one was that it didn't have all that over the top shit, it was quietly creepy. Then again the first one did have the advantage of surprise in being just about the first found footage movie. Audiences these days have pretty much seen it all. Will I still watch it? Hell yes

No wonder you're not fond of flying... not exactly the best start that you've experienced. The aircraft flying interstate are a bit bigger than the lil 6 seater, and definitely a lot more reliable - you won't see any jumper cables coming their way ! I know some time ago there were a number of private programmes available for nervous passengers, whereby you were taken to 'class' and explained all the facts of flying, and got to go inside an aircraft whilst it was stationary, so you could have a good look around. Might be worthwhile to see if that is still available - had a high success rate. Otherwise the hypnosis might be the way to go. Good luck with your later trip. Tall

Summer you're planning Sydney for November and not everyone can do the Perth Socialites in Adelaide October sooooooo keeping the AFL Grand Final and atleast 1 or 2 of the semi's in mind for you Southerners how does early September sound? Not a big one just an intimate get together on the Gold Coast since flights into here are cheaper than Brisbane and not advertised en masse.....considering anyone who reads/uses the forum could easily message me/vice versa expressing interest? I can get a group booking deal on a nice hotel less than 5km from the airport and right on the beach at Coolangatta ? OR how long has it been since any of us went on a Booze Bus/Pub Crawl we keep saying RHP ROAD TRIP!! Pick us up at the hotel and daytrip some of the Goldies & Tweed's better pubs (lunch included and I have a pub in mind) then get poured out at another pub I like near the hotel I have in mind where you can either stumble a block to bed or stay and frighten the shit out of the locals with our partying?..... And a warm up in September with that gorgeous couple Mr Luvsilver mentioned (lol BIG winky face!!) a road trip/booze bus, game of beach cricket, food, etc etc. my only problem is.......how big a bus do I need to fit the usual die hard crew into? How many of us can fit into a coach? Oh and Roh and I selected the pubs last night. We have a cocktail one, a Irish one, a whiskey and rum one, a boutique beer one, the one across the road from the Beach where we'll have our game of cricket, a swim, a walk (and hopefully a buffet lunch I think that's gonna be easier or does everyone want to have their order taken on the bus and rung through ahead of time?) then another pub and maybe another pub for margaritas then poured out at the destination. Happy and sloshed. For those light/non drinkers among us (scratches head.....can't think of anyone besides Q) soft drinks/tonic water are free 😇 as usual I'll see what I can wheel and deal to keep things economical without sacrificing quality ~ Excited much

bugger! I jsut checked sched, depending on Sept dates, looks like my sched has me pencilled in on an overseas project for 2-3 weeks in September-Oct. We are still scoping the work and will know as I get closer to the date.... I am hoping to make the November sydney Meet and greet.... work and family commitments free permitting... and then there's the Melb cup weeks... melb will be crazy...
