Venting

January 28 2015

I have read a few posts and noted that some people occasionally like to vent (fair enough and probably good for the constitution). My vents are that the last 4wks I have had to work 10-12 hrs days, due to the industry I work in and the weather, also because of the weather, the grass is growing way to fast and I therefore need to mow the damn lawns more often than I have time What are your "Vents", if any, or are you happy with everything in life. (just fun general vents and complaints about life in general, not serious), Could be Politics, sex, partners, weather, work, kids, parents, friends (or lack of), the cost of beer, wine, or salami !!!! anything.

And ignorant spelling natzis..if you can read this from your very high perches....fifty per cent of adult Australians are functionally illiterate...many are so shamed by this they don't seek the help that is available...for many they struggled through school, often being bullied and being accused of being stupid and or lazy....you can actually be part of the solution to this problem, volunteer your time at a school,or an adult literacy program...I did,and it changed my life xxFreya

Fuck Vodafone! I was going to buy a new car and thanks to these cunts I can't because they have fucked my credit rating by putting an $8000 default on my credit report that is not mine! I could punch someone in the bloody head today, luckily for the girl who took my call after a few choice words that I could not climb down the phone and wring her neck after she told me I had not sent all my personal details to the email address I needed to which was the email address on the fucking fraud department's paperwork. I hung up on her and called the ombudsman.

I agree with you on the general issue of people who think they're better than others because they have a better understanding of grammar and spelling. Many of our brilliant inventors from times past had major issues with reading and writing, that didn't stop them from being briliant and changing the face of the world. I've mentioned to you before that I've volunteered to help with reading and how rewarding it was. . What I have trouble with is my abhorrence for the familiar use of the word Nazi. I think of Litonya's post and Jack_Denial's post on the 'Nazi' thread in Off Topic to express my objection to it. Just saying. :-)

It's incredibly rewarding. I can agree that I'm not perfect and that I do put things across the wrong way sometimes, a lot of the time even. I am sorry for that because I do know it takes some merit out of what I say. My resentment was forum business at the time, and so it will remain.

I think I'm done with the name for now Annie, I wanted a change, and the timing seemed right, but I am so habitual... I did manage, to make a small change, lol. . Meander, thank you for trying to meet me part way, but accusing someone of, and telling them how nasty they are to be dragging posters with mental health issues into the forum to read nasty shit posted by someone else you happen to be defending, isn't my idea of, "putting things the wrong way sometimes". Nor is the shredding afore said poster copped. There is nothing left of those posts and I feel like I've hogged this thread enough on this topic for now though, so that said, I'm going to leave it there. Thanks for the thread, I'm sorry I don't have more to vent about outside the forums lol. Aside from the weather which has been atrocious, life is pretty good. I have good friends and family who love me, and a life that is plenty comfy to value. It has actually been a good year for me so far with the wonderful reconnection of childhood friends I'd lost contact with as we got busy with our families. Now I'm having the joy of going over old memories. Catching up with newer friends weekly who are practically family has also been a boon. I've never felt more valued. . I do wish the company whose product ruined a decent amount of our flooring over Christmas would get it together and get on with repairing the 'consequential' damage! . But it still could be worse! Cheers

Quoting 'Annie_Whichway' And everything about it. People posting how many lettuce leaves they had for lunch and how many times their dog farted last night. Good grief...... Now back in my day............... The finest example of the degredation of the modern world... turning human relationships into a commodity. Just wonderful. If I'm not important enough to you for you to pick up the phone, write an email directly to, or some other method of direct contact, then FO, you aren't my friend. I'm not missing a thing not being on there. We moved halfway across the world, and more reason than anyone to be on there to "communicate with friends and family back home", but you know what? We simply pick up the phone or write to those in our hearts and minds. And those who feel the same reciprocate. The others... eh, stuff 'em. What does Facebook REALLY contribute to the world? If it vanished tomorrow, what would happen? Nothing. People would go on living their lives. Its nothing more than a time vampire, sucking your most precious resource dry... time. Go fucking LIVE, people! Ah, Much better! Beautiful day outside. Gonna go take the dog for a walk... and NOBODY will know about it... oh no! hahahahahaha.

Annie, I admire your honesty. To be honest in return, to get my best dose of positivity, I head to facebook lol. It saves my sanity. My friends there are funny and caring and they miss me when I don't turn up at get our regular get togethers. I miss them at those moments too. My experience is in complete contrast to the one here, where I can wish someone well and be criticised because I didn't put it well enough... And double standards are the flavour of the day. . We have an ongoing conversation on fb that is largely nonsense, but it makes me smile and laugh. I'm actually reading snatches of it in between writing this post lolol. We share our news, good and bad with each other, and always feel better after we've been together. The auto corrects from one friend are a scream. . Just to round that out... I have good friends here too, some of them are on fb with me, some are on fb with me but not on here anymore. I value that I get different views on things from all of them. It's all good. . It's Friday and the heavy heat has dissipated some. Havagoodweekend Annie.

"Most of my life has been spent trying to shrink myself. Trying to become smaller. Quieter. Less sensitive. Less opinionated. Less needy. Less me. Because I didn’t want to be a burden. I didn’t want to be too much or push people away. I wanted people to like me. I wanted to be cared for and valued. I wanted to be wanted. So for years, I sacrificed myself for the sake of making other people happy. And for years, I suffered. But I’m tired of suffering, and I’m done shrinking. It’s not my job to change who I am in order to become someone else’s idea of a worthwhile human being. I am worthwhile. Not because other people think I am, but because I exist, and therefore I matter. My thoughts matter. My feelings matter. My voice matters. And with or without anyone’s permission or approval, I will continue to be who I am and speak my truth. Even if it makes people angry. Even if it makes them uncomfortable. Even if they choose to leave. I refuse to shrink. I choose to take up space. I choose to honor my feelings. I choose to give myself permission to get my needs met. I choose to make self-care a priority. I choose me." — Daniell Koepke

Quoting 'Meander' Have received 11 flirts from couples this week. Either "they're keen" or "want to meet and see where it goes". This is a record, is there something in the air or did a hidden message to them suddenly appear on my profile?! Ah, that's better. They're not all from the same couple, are they? A friend of mine told me she'd received over 50 flirts from the same guy..... dozens at a time. Creepy potential clingy stalker alert

Just came outside and looked up and saw thousands or batts flying through and past a full moon in a clear sky. Looked like the beginning of a Steven King movie, they are still going .....

Why are you venting about 11 flirts Mea? That's nothing? Or are you not looking for couples? I am surprised anyone even looks at the flirts.
