agree wholeheartedly. Not sure what thread was moderated and has caused such a stink/spill over onto this., I suppose people just wanted to release steam and vent, which is what this thread is all about. I think enough attention has been given to whomever stirred the pot in the first place. I missed out on a bit of the forum this week and last but I will make a guess...... but better we just all move along indeed.

The need to need to adjust my friends list this morning. Having someone on it that continually attacks and is derogatory to another forumite wasnt doing it for me. Yes, we lose our shit at one time or another in a mad moment but to be calculated is a whole different ball game. Feel better with that steam gone. Woo hoo.

Like many people, I have a little problem with my choice being taken away from me. Seems Windows 10 has done that in spades! Was on a wifi plan of only 8 gb and their auto updates and downloads were taking upto 6gb of that! Not happy Jan. Fixed from today though...now on ADSL with 100gb per month to play with ...fun times ahead. Can even get back to spending time in the forums again....doesnt look like to much has changed around here.

Major storms. A week's worth of groceries in the fridge and freezer have been defrosted, and the water tanks are all overflowing 'cause I couldn't run the transfer pumps to evacuate the excess! The civic infrastructure in this state is absolutely woeful. Each week there are major ruptures of mains water pipes in and around Adelaide too. (Those water issues don't affect me directly - I'm living rural - Bore Water and Rainwater Tanks). To further complicate and confound, access to my online courses is denied and deadlines are looming... (This has repeatedly occurred since changes to the training provider's IT systems mid year).

Unbelievable in this day and age! Used to live about 7 hrs north of Adelaide and had regular power outages... we then moved to a developing nation in Africa and also had constant power outages... the difference? It was expected in Africa, so we all had generators.. never without power! The internet connection in Africa was also better than I get in the inner suburbs of Melbourne... go figure?? Hope your week improves :)

Some of the infrastructure on the farm here is a bit like the house that Jack built. For internet access, I use a Wireless Broadband dongle. To get signal reception for this (or even FM radio for that matter), I must be within about three feet of the northwest corner of my loungeroom or I just get static. When you cross the border to get here from the East Coast, you've got to wind your clocks back half an hour and twenty years...

Having photos updated every three months means I need to have updated photos (plural) 60 times! I don't even have that many photos of myself! Let's hope you don't have any issue with selfies...
