Quoting 'SoftandCurious' I'm referring to the following paragraph you posted in the feminine thread: "In this instance I suspect your objection to my post may stem from some error in comprehension of my words, or filtering on your part. Upon reflection (if I understand correctly) English is your second language, and your heritage is German. In this case I suppose you might feel highly sensitive to a word such as 'feminazi'. Once again, I assure you offence is not my intent." Annie - was that school of big knocks or big cocks? 😉 There's a difference between intelligence and education. The ones I learn from the most are those who have many battle scars, not those who just have doctorates (hats off to those who achieved that level of education, I commend you). And no to whoever thinks it - I don't need an argument about intelligence being pointless without education. Betty 😂😂😂😂 SoftandCurious, Please reread my posts thoroughly and in sequence. You might then see and understand the context. I am not going to explain it all again here. SoftandCurious, Annie, I have revealed details of my background in various posts and threads previously. As with all of us, those posts are available for review via the advanced search function should you care to take a look. I make no apology for my disciplined attempt to learn and use my native language correctly. It is purposeful on my part because it minimizes risk of miscommunication. Clear message communication requires effort on the part of each the sender and the receiver. I joined the workforce at 15 years of age, whilst still at school. My family was of modest means. None in my immediate family have completed a University degree. Until recently, I have simultaneously worked full time and studied (both formally and informally 'off my own back') in various disciplines, industries and sectors the entire time. I'm flattered you would think I already hold a Doctorate. I am now studying full time to formally qualify in areas where I already have significant practical workplace and personal experience, and to fill gaps in my knowledge. I may be able to achieve multiple Batchelor's degrees. I do this for my mainly for my own benefit and that of my children, but also because I enjoy learning. I am what is termed a 'Polymath'. We all have the same number of hours in each day. We have simply spent some of those hours differently. Over my entire life, I have also had the benefit and fun of extensive travel and partying, but those are not the only interests in my life. You are welcome to pursue your own interests and seek out people to whom you are attracted. Being in an environment where people profess to being 'openminded', I had expected I might be extended the same courtesy. Whilst I do not share your interests or your life choices, I do not make criticism of you for that. Where I have seen posts containing factual error or argument based on flawed reasoning, I admit I have sought to correct the record. This is precisely because I have gained some knowledge and experience which may be of benefit (if not to you, possibly someone else). There has been a great deal of snarkiness due to misapprehended communications. You might simply realise not everyone is going to find one another attractive to pursue for an intimate relationship. If you do not understand the matters I relate, or my use of language in communication, it should be no surprise we likely could not sustain an intimate relationship. I am not here to meet and sleep with any and every lady that comes along. I hope that is not expected of me.

'Verrückt! Thank God for google translate... Peachy Verrückt is a German word meaning "insane" or "crazy" and may refer to: Verrückt(water slide), a water slide at Schlitterbahn in Kansas City, Kansas, United States, the tallest in the world. Verrückt nach Clara ("Crazy about Clara"), a German television series.

Q, Google tells me... "Common house flies are attracted to decaying organic filth such as feces and rotting meat, whereas fruit flies seek sugary substances and feed more commonly on overripe fruit, spilled soda and alcohol" ... Have you ever tried vinegar with grated carrot. Plain white vinegar, not too much but a nice balance to have a solid presence without becoming soggy. So sweet and delicious. Makes the taste buds sing. And ironically, sugar in certain forms makes me physically ill. :-) Peachy

I doubt it's a healthy way to go...but everything in moderation, I reckon. One of my favourites to make atm : Roast Pork collar butt, stuffed with a few garlic cloves, sprinkled with lots of salt and brown sugar( don't be cheap! ) on a really high temp..say 200 celsius...for half an hour. The outsides will be cooked and a bit crispy by now.Cover it with foil and finish cooking( maybe an hour and a half...depends on size, really ) till really tender and nearly falling apart. It'll be moist, sweet, salty and flavoursome. Honey soy is a favourite sweet salty combo we love on duck and chicken. Melt a bit of butter before adding the honey and soy to taste and coating the bird, it helps it stick better for some reason. Don't cook the bird too high, it will burn because of the honey but a bit of char is delicious. None of this caramelising gig. We did it in an oven bag the other day which gave us a beautifully tender finish and left the juices to make the perfect dipping sauce similar to yours I imagine. :-D We're looking at the possibility of tuna mornay cannelloni, that will be a new one. thanks for posting so I'd know at least why my post goes missing if it does get cleaned up. I'd say that the post contains all the context required for it to make sense - future readers might not know the posts leading up to it, but the core argument isn't about what happened, it is that we should apply equal standards across the board. My personal view is that we're all adults, and there is a lot more intentional involvement from mods than there needs to be - and very rarely is the result satisfactory. It often ends up being unintentionally biased by only applying against the individual posts reported rather than a whole of thread approach. They seem to have very poor tools for moderating effectively, and there is zero feedback as to the particular reason a post was deleted - not even an auto message. Frequently it seems mod involvement is because someone just doesn't like a post and it's used as a lazy form of rebuttal. (I'm not meaning this about your appeal to the mods specifically, it is a general comment)

I got told at a recent coffee meet that I am too serious and have no sense of humour because I did not laugh at his racist jokes. He said this to me after I told him that I would not be seeing him again because I didn't feel any connection. I'm used to the rude messages after a polite no, but never experienced it in person before. My rant: I can't stand it when people use racism as an excuse for humour and then suggest I need to lighten up if I don't find it funny.

Just wondered, thanks Well in explanation. It wasn't being negative to you but was referencing you generally. Your posting style has in the past been subject to reactions, myself included of course. Over a period of time, many have accepted your style but not necessarily agreeing with some of your comments. That's fine of course, all our opinions are different. But a few have not accepted your style. Some of the reactions have caused conflict and threads to be shutdown and deleted. Those reactions to your posts have endeavoured to get you to change your posting style etc...etcMy comments re rats and mice behaviour referenced that the test subjects modify their behaviour when previous actions fail to achieve the desired result. Apply that to the reactions to your posts. The reactions have failed to change your style so therefore should those reactions be modified. My own reactions have modified to be either read or not read. If I don't agree with the content I generally don't take it on board and move on. I'm just observing several posters reacting the same way each time with the same result of posts being removed and the thread interrupted.I've generally seen your own behaviour in response to those reactions more settled and less likely to engage and inflame.Of course everyone has a right to post an opinion that they don't agree with something said but it can be done in a non inflammatory method and move on.Not saying l'm perfect in responses but trying my best to be balanced. In summary l am trying to say there is a place for everyone here. I think the place is better for having your input even if I don't agree with all your comments. Annie

I'd agree....there's only so much resilience in the world before people agree that shit cunts need to know they're a shit cunt....

I totally agree that people like that don't care if I discount them because they usually have narcissistic personalities and really can't assess their own behaviour and fail to see how they are viewed by others. Just my experience. It's quite annoying for other people though, particularly when you can't get away from it and you feel compelled to argue against it. I have learnt that arguing with people like that is a useless exercise - even tho I still sometimes try. Lol

What does shit cunt really mean? Lol I have heard a few use it here in the forum (one or two from lovely ladies too 😉) but couldn't really figure out how it was meant to be used. But it sounds naughty

Stirry, that comment is beneath you, even if you believe it, you are intelligent enough to self censor. Lily, it sounds angry and hateful in that ^ context, not naughty, regardless of who is saying it.

Obviously it only means something to those who have used and heard it before. It might as well be Latin or German to me. Quite foreign to me.

I have seen those words used in the forum by other female forumites. It has never really bothered me as I.dont use those terms and they don't form part of my vocabulary. Perhaps never will. . Although now I understand that it is demeaning and more grave than I thought it was and in its use in real life by way of the reactions, I certainly don't condone its use. However, I find it interesting that Stirry gets pulled up for mentioning it but not the others. Just an observation. Moving on.

I have never heard anybody use it before. For me it's the intent and context in which a word is used. I don't have a problem with my kids swearing, but call me (or anybody else) a F*&%ing bitch or a C*&% and I have a major issue.

But so can those calling for me to self censor A bit Hypocritical don't you think in this instance?? Thing is I'll admit that I'm being deliberately inflammatory because I feel I need to be.... Be passive all you like.....choose to accept what you like..... I choose not to sit in silence passively condoning shit cunts...... And a shit cunt......is a really unsavoury Cunt:) Like me ...... In this instance :) - Posted from rhpmobile

I've never seen it used in here before, and my objection to it has nothing to do with Stirry, apart from the fact that he used it today. I would have the same reaction to anyone who was being deliberately aggressive towards another, and used that term - even if it was one of my close friends. Very happy to move on

Can only speak for myself, but not hypocritical for me. I've never been disrespectful to anyone in here, and generally try not to engage in the constant shite fight... but I am choosing not to be passive on this one. Nothing personal, I actually quite like you, as you know... just over the negativity and deliberate nastiness, which is by no means only coming from you.

And lily.... It's only distasteful and unacceptable when people have a preconceived view of the person that used it.... Given I'm the funny, harmless little guy that people just love and adore *rolls eyes* it's completely inconceivable to them that a person like that could EVER use such an expression.... All that it's really pointed out, is that people EXPECT me to be a certain way and are bitterly disappointed when they realise they never really knew me to begin with :) - Posted from rhpmobile

Quoting 'Koolgrey' shitcuntThe most sarcastic, abusive, shitty cunt there is, globally recognised for his or her cuntishness....That may not have been added by an Australian...but I think the same sentiment is there. That may be true, but I know at my main workplace (ie one predominantly constituted by a younger male generation in their 20's), they use the term "shit cunt" in a humorous way, each calling each other that, but of course knowing that it is said in complete jest. In other words, they are basically mocking the term. Typical expressions are things like: "do some work you shit cunt", in which case the reply is likely to be: "you're the shit cunt, ya shit cunt". More to point, they are saying it to people they actually like. But this is of course just immature man/boy behaviour!

I hadn't read any of the other posts.still not really sure what the issue is. I didn't think it was directed at anyone in particular. As I said I use it so I don't have an issue within it.

I don't have a problem with my kids swearing, but call me (or anybody else) a F*&%ing bitch or a C*&% and I have a major issue. I do understand where you are coming from. As I said, I have seen them used before and because I did not know in what they meant nor how they were used, it did not bother me. And it seems succeeding posts after they were used by others did not incite reaction, hence my surprise when people called out Stirry. I do understand the context is important, like anything else and do get some people are offended. Like what other posters said in previous pages, we decide how we react to other people's posts - we can let it affect us by reacting to it or we can ignore it. Many of us, including myself, are all guilty, one way or another in engaging in quarrelsome spats over controversial comments made by some belligerent or attention -seeking posters, who are very much aware that their comments will stir troubles. some people are just lacking in their filters and empathy. we react depending on our moods, vulnerability or care factor. Me, I am starting to tire of some people, and couldn't be bothered to engage because it is just like banging my head on a wall. I just try to avoid certain people as it is starting to get boring. And also happy to move on.

We have all used bad language on here at some point so Ive no issue with it, even though I dont like the C word. I actually take more offence at people being called, fat, ugly and gross, which has been said before. But these are only online forums so shouldnt affect us too personally. I left before because I was getting too stirred up by some of the comments, now I just accept that we will never please all of the people all of the time. Another male posted on the Instant Responses thread and I think that was very derogatory but no one seemed to mind? Its only cyber talk.
